I have been to Bada Bean a couple of times now for brunch and I will say this, it is worth the wait. It isn't my favorite place in town, but when I want a laid back environment for brunch and don't mind people seeing me in my sweats for breakfast, this is the place to be. People like their flavored coffee and pancakes. I have to be the only nut that goes for the omelettes. They are huge, well prepared and delicious. I will now also go for the lattes because they are delicious. Probably the only thing hat stops this from being my favorite place is that I do not like their pancakes. When I had them in the past they weren't light or fluffy or flavorful, it was actually a pretty bland pancake. Went here for brunch on a Tuesday after trying to come on a previous Saturday (the wait was ~2hr so we decided to bail and try another day). The off day and time was perfect as our group of 6 easily found seating inside (there is also some seating outside as well). I can see why the wait is so long at peak times! Our waiter came over right away and quickly gave us our waters and coffee mugs. We were able to get up right away and choose from 5 different hot coffees at the self serve coffee bar. Our food order was promptly taken shortly after. I went with the garden skillet and was super pleased with my choice when it came out. The home fries were well seasoned and delicious, the veggies fresh, the sunny side up eggs cooked perfectly and the avocado was the cherry on top. I was also able to taste a bit of my friend's cinnamon roll pancake and it was delectable. The service was great, and our waiter was very attentive and helpful. Added bonus, if you order a coffee you can take a coffee to go on your way out. Bada bean is a bada-$$ brunch spot in my book. read more

Went here the morning after graduation and expected the wait to be horrible but to my surprise the restaurant was full, but not packed. I really like this place! One of my favorite parts was the coffee that is available and you can chose the caffeination level. What?! Awesome especially after partaking in a little too much graduation celebration. We sat outside and our server was super friendly and attentive. I ordered the green eggs and ham just because, well I have never had green eggs and ham and they were super tasty! Have had all of the breakfast sandwiches, which were all tasty though they tend to skimp a bit on the bacon in their breakfast wrap. The french toast sounds better than it was - a little lackluster and disappointing. The service is excellent and incredibly friendly. As I said with the intro, I really like the layout with both in and outdoor seating. A great place to set up shop, use wifi, and meet up with friends for a cup-of-joe. Bada Bean is a locally owned coffee shop/restaurant that has grown its menu and its popularity over the past few years. The breakfast is available all day and is a must (especially the standard $4.99 special). I can't speak to the lunch menu since I continually get breakfast on each visit! There are usually 5 kinds of coffee arranged from left (most caffeine) to right (less caffeine/decaf). The flat screen television is not too loud and is usually on CNN. There is a small area to relax on sofas if you are just drinking coffee. The servers are very nice and accommodating, as are the cooks (ask for cheese in anything and its there!). Eggs are always light and fluffy. The home fries are large-cut and seasoned just right. The bacon is the best in town. Each day brings new specials so check out the website before going. Wireless internet access is provided for free. The parking lot is small so for lunch on weekdays you may want to carpool. read more

Love this place for breakfast! It's a wonderful little cafe with delicious, unique and freshly made dishes. They're always fully stocked with freshly made quiches and pastries. Their breakfast specials are always different and creative. This place is so freaking good!! Okay so generally, I believe you can't really mess up breakfast, so I believe most breakfast places should be good. However, I give credit where credit is due, and the cinnamon roll pancakes deserve credit. Breakfast is my favorite meal of the day and these people do it right. Found this local gem here on yelp and I have to say it was great. We were able to get seated right away but I can only imagine there might be a wait on certain days. Every order of food that my eye caught as it passed by looked delicious and it made it very hard to decide. I ordered the Maryland crab cakes Benedict and it was a good as it sounds, with hardly any fillers and crab in every bite. Had to order the cinnamon pancakes as well just because the smell commanded me to and it did not disappoint. Will definitely go back again to try other the assortment of baked goods and breakfast specials. Family owned and operated with just about the nicest people. Perfectly poached eggs smothered in hollandaise sauce and salmon on top of toasted English muffins coupled with home fries were so delicious. There were many equally yummy choices. Each time I come here, I order different items on the menu. I never left here dissapointed with the food. I had two different coffee this morning - Tallahassee Morning (a bit weak this morning) and Bada Bean Best Blend (perfect). There is a coffee station where you can customize the coffee to your liking. This experience can be further improved if they change the way the coffee is stored and dispensed. The staff here are friendly and attentive. However, if you want to pay your bills split non traditional way (all together or individual), it would be a huge hassle. There are not a lot of seating at this place. If it's a rainy day and sitting outside is not an option, be prepared to wait on the weekends. read more

This is my favorite breakfast in Tallahassee. I give it 5 stars, although the wait time is very bad. I've never been disappointed when I come here. The food is super good and worth it! I usually get one of their skillets, and their eggs, potatoes, and veggies are always cooked to perfection. The coffee is also super good and they'll give you a mug so you can drink it while you're waiting. It can sometimes take a while to be served also just because there's always high traffic.
