This location has been open for about a month, and its arrival was highly anticipated because it is the only bagel shop in the immediate area. There are several other locations, with Maynard being the newest. I wanted to love it here, but sadly the bagels are underwhelming. If you did a blind taste test with a grocery store or Dunkin Donuts bagel, you would not be able to tell the difference. As someone said in their Google review, the bagels are chewy and don't have a lot of flavor -- but if that's the way you like them, then you may have a different opinion. I wanted you to try the lox and cream cheese bagel, but the prices here are crazy high. Given my less than exciting last two stops here for a bagel, I can't justify the cost for a bagel with a tiny bit of smoked salmon. The one thing that may save this place is their pastries. I don't know if they're made in house, but they all look AMAZING and I'll definitely give those a try when I want to splurge on a dessert item. They had some chocolate muffins/cupcakes with the white spiral across the top that I almost broke down and purchased, and they had cookies, coffee cake and some enticing muffins. Stopped in here after a morning of hiking and found the place to be filled with happy diners and a pleasant and engaging staff. The food options were plentiful and delicious. I ordered a simple sausage and egg sandwich on an English muffin. My friend enjoyed a the 2BLT and said it was fantastic. Simple decor and pretty awesome themed shirts for the staff. Lots of places have good bagels. Lots of places have bagel sandwiches.... but this places has a hot Pastrami and swiss cheese bagel sandwich, and it is fxcking awesome. My go to order is hot Pastrami and Swiss on a toasted everything bagel. It's awesome. The people are nice and polite. It's fairly priced. If you like real, good bagels and love a hot Pastrami and swiss, go to Bagel Table. read more

Unfortunately this has got to be the worst breakfast sandwich I've ever had. The bagel was thick and dry as hell. The egg was so thin and there was one slice of bacon. The cheese wasn't even melted. $6 for total garbage when all I wanted was a crunchy and crispy bagel sandwich. Save your money and go elsewhere. Even Dunkin would be a better option. The only thing keeping this a two star review from one is the fact that the staff were nice and the food was made quickly. read more

The cream cheese is OK. But sadly this location is just like all the other Bagel Table locations. Food is trucked in and reheated. Nothing is fresh or made on site. It's way overpriced for what you get. And the bagels simply just not good. I never thought I would say this but Dunkin's is actually better. read more

The bagels are okay. Would rather go to Bagel Plus in Acton for a much better bagel but this will do in a pinch. Fair amount of options but the bagels seem small for a "bagel place" and nothing really stands out about them. Standard cream cheese and breakfast toppings options. I used to go to the Bagel Table in Maynard every day and Maddy did a perfect job making the Bagels, but now William makes the Bagels and he keeps burning my Bagel, I don't know why he just can't toast the Bagel without burning it, so I stopped going to Bagel Table. read more

The bagels are no better than what you'd buy at a grocery store and don't even come close to the bagel shops in Hudson and Acton. Not sure why the owner can't got to these other towns to see what they are doing. I'm so sad that the bagel table turned out to be so disappointing. I went with my husband and he got coffee only I ordered a bagel with egg and cheese and ordered extras, lettuce, tomato, and cream cheese. Those items were $.25 each. What I got was a bagel that had approximately half of a processed food type fried egg but they forgot the cheese. There was about an eighth of a teaspoon of cream cheese on this bagel less than half a slice of tomato and about a quarter of a leaf of Romain lettuce if that. I paid $.75 for the extras and my jaw was on the floor. The fact that they forgot the cheese in my egg and cheese bagel was really annoying. The Bagel was underwhelming and very much like a store-bought bagel, not freshly made. Luckily I had some cream cheese at home and made the best of a bad situation with a few slices of homegrown tomatoes. Unfortunately, I won't be going back. Why do places try to get away with doing the minimum for customers instead of serving up something decent. And I didn't even get what I paid for so it was very annoying. I give this place three or four months at the most. Unless it turns into a teen hang out, then it might last a little longer.. read more

I think the bagels are good. Better than Dunkin for sure. These other reviews are too harsh. The service is amazing, good variety of bagels and shmears, coffee is decent. I would give it 3.5/4. My husband wanted more than one slice on bacon on his bagel sandwich... We need more businesses in downtown Maynard. Let's not drive this one out of town by our reviews. read more

What a waste of prime real estate in downtown Maynard. They buy bagels at a wholesale place and then sell them as if they are making them fresh. They have a stale, chemical taste. Honestly I can't believe they are allowed to have "bagel" in the name of their business. Also the decor inside is very strange.
