L-R: Mary, Joy, Cyndi wearing her Boston Packers scarf won during half time.

Our Parrish bartender, Christina, recommended we go to The Banshee in Dorchester to watch the Sunday Packers game (sadly the Browns won in what should have been an easy win for Green Bay). We were to tell Joy (our Packer game Bartender) that Christina sent us. Joy welcomed us and was expecting us! She was so kind and warm and sat us at a huge table where she promised we'd enjoy other hometown fans. Which we did! 6degrees of separation conversations ensued with people from Hartford Madison Milwaukee GB Kenosha Waukesha Muskego. The AC was cranked so a delish hot creamy clam chowder warmed us up. The nachos were amazing and plenty for 4 or more! Warren ran a drawing for free Boston Packers Merch and we won a scarf! We're definitely adopting Joy and the Banshee as our Boston GBP HQ!

Nice bar to watch the games in. Saw a few euro games in there. Service is very quick wings were very good had a nice kick to them. Not a bad little bar.

Service and drinks were awesome- but the mirror in the woman's bathroom was too small :(

A classic American bar conveniently located in the corner of dorchester that's great for hangout with friends. We got the chicken tenders with honey mustard which was delicious!! We also got dumplings and the screaming banshee for drinks but they're your typical bar food/drinks, nothing really stood out to me. The service was quick and our waiter was friendly. The atmosphere was nice with a moderate amount of seatings and the music wasn't too loud which I enjoyed! I had a great time catching up with friends there. Very dark, somewhat dirty, and tables are cluttered. Empty at 12:30pm on a sunny Wednesday. Very limited menu of poor options, Super dark bathroom. Server was low energy, took a while to get two iced teas with only one other person in the house. Iced tea was not good. Burns the throat like Nestea from a can. Food was okay. Sandwich better than entree. Not very appealing in the presentation. Expensive. Nothing worth returning for.

I thought this place was okay. The steak tips and side salad I had were good, but the mashed potatoes I got had no flavor at all, they completely lacked salt. When I asked our waiter for some salt and a glass of water, both times it took them forever, it was like they completely forgot about me. Personally I wouldn't come back.

The only place I want to watch a Packer game when in Boston. Loud fans and plenty of good times. Can't wait to return. Go pack go!

Not perfect, not terrible. A couple of the bartenders are kind of pretentious, but the food's great and the beers are always fresh.

Super relaxed atmosphere and tv's, so it would be a great place to watch a game. Friendly bartender and the fish and chips was good. They also have pizzas that looked great. My friend had a pesto with burrata and she said it was awesome. They also have gluten-free pizza, whihc is good to know. Our table neighbor had the pork chop, which also looked great. They have a small parking lot, which would fill up quickly. We went on a very "off" time, so we were able to park in that lot. Otherwise, you'd need to find street parking.

We were seated right away at a table in the middle of the floor. Told that was best that could be done. Like eating in an aisle. After a few minutes we were asked if we wanted still water or not. Still, we said. Then if we wanted drinks, told her water would be fine. Service started to decline from there. Also no condiments come to the table, but water. We ordered bread and butter and a spice bag, but vegetarian. No bread today ran out. And no plans to bake anymore. We wait close to 25 minutes for our appetizers. Spice bag arrives and I had read rave reviews about this. Open it and its filled with chicken and french fries. Server grabbed it and told us, kitchen error. They would make another, be there in a minute or two. I asked would this show up with our entrees. No, be spaced apart. We waited over 15 minutes, it arrived. Was supposed to have cauliflower, peppers, onions and french fries. There was three pieces of cauliflower and no peppers or onions. What was there was tasty and well spiced. And as soon as we opened the bag and started eating, entrees show up. Fish and chips portions are huge and very nicely fried. Excellent crisp and fantastic steak fries. The Pizza #1, excellent tomatoed base and the crust had a good chew to it. I ordered the Beyond meat lasagna. Huge portion with a green salad and cole slaw. Cole slaw was creamy and very nice. Green salad was fresh but drenched in dressing. My fault should have asked for it on the side. The lasagna was disappointing. No seasoning, no garlic or onions or oregano. It was, I think a British version of lasagna. Ate about half could not eat more. No desserts, but drinks, tea and hot chocolate. Or I did not see it. Server apologized for the timing of the meals, the error with the Spice Bag and the lack of bread. She was sweet. Lots of sports being broadcasted, and a huge long bar. I would come for beer and soccer or football. If I wanted Irish bar food I'd be better going to the Burren. And parking is a challenge. They have a very small lot, we got lucky and found a spot. Hard pass on McGonagle's.

The restaurant was very clean and well lit. The group at the bar was larger, but the restaurant remained not too loud. I did notice no changing table in the restroom, which was a nuisance. Overall would try again.

We dropped in for an early dinner for our group of 8 with kids and had a wonderful time. When you first step inside, you are welcomed with a buzzing atmosphere of live music and conversation. The decor is a mix of modern bar with nice touches of an Irish pub. There was live music from 4-6 which set a nice festive mood but does result in a louder atmosphere. A beautiful bar with large TVs were available for catching the game. I got the fish and chips which I recommend. The fish was tender and flakey and the breading was a proper batter that added a nice crunch. The portion was quite large, and I was a big fan of the spiced curry sauce that came with the dish. My wife had the sausage roll which had a nice flakey pastry crust to it. The menu had quite the variety of Irish dishes, and I can't wait to come back to try more of them. The restaurant is also kid friendly. They provide crayons and coloring sheets and offer a decent kids menu. It's nice to finally have a higher end and more modern Irish restaurant that I'm certain will become a neighborhood staple.
