Bluffalo Wings has been on and off my radar for years now. When I first moved back here, they were located in Flour Bluff (hence the name). They have since relocated to Corpus' Southside off of Yorktown, and have subsequently closed the former location. It's a great open-air sports bar, with good American bar food. They also have a plethora of draught beer, which is another reason why I believe they are so popular. The management and staff appear to be on top of things. Most of the service staff are young adults (I assume university students) who appear to have found a niche that suits them. One of the reasons I've been frequenting them so much recently is their burgers. You can customize them to your liking, and they are actually really good. Like many places I return to often, the servers have grown accustomed to my ordering habits, and it is now a flawless exercise. Easy peasy! This place may or may not be worth going out of your way to visit if you are a visitor here, but if you live near or around the Southside, it is definitely worth your time and money, IMO. read more

Stopped by the Buffalo Wild Wings on Stassney Lane in Austin and had a pretty good experience overall. The beer was ice-cold, which is exactly what you want walking into a sports bar. They've got a nice variety of wing options--good flavors, good heat levels, and everything came out fresh. The only thing that could use some attention is the music. It wasn't bad, just a little off in terms of vibe and volume. A small improvement there would go a long way. Other than that, solid service, good food, and a comfortable place to relax. Among other struggles: AC has been out for over a month. Kitchen alarm is going off, nonstop beeping. 3 TV's behind bar not working. Server is openly complaining to customers and bad-mouthing business - not her fault, she deserves better treatment. Came on Sunday at noon. Service was excellent. We sat outside with our pups. Outside is very nice. Unfortunately our wings were awful. Very dry, small & overcooked. Door to outside was locked. No trash can liner. Mushrooms were good hamburger was good but greasy. We ended up pulling the meat (what little there was) and giving it to the pups. Yesterday, I arrived early to Bluffalo for the NCAA tipoff and for a zoom gathering of school classmates to honor a classmate who passed away. Even tho they open at 11, the staff let my son and me in early to set up for my zoom. They could not have been nicer or more accommodating. After the zoom, we were joined by my other son and some friends. Kate was the server and barkeep and was just great!! The food and presentation was excellent and our pints were never empty for long. This is place is obviously understaffed and I'm guessing the employees are underpaid which is probably why they all seem to be annoyed and rude. This is another place where you wait in line to order your food. You sit and wait...And wait and wait for them to whisper or mumble your name over a speaker. As we were about to place our order the young lady called someone over the microphone to which her co worker advised her she needs to yell the name otherwise the back won't hear her. She responded with "then YOU do it". After waiting at our table for 30 minutes I went over to the kitchen area where I see my dads burger sitting under the heat lamp. That's when they tell me they are all out of the sides we ordered (30 + minutes ago....) I give my dad his burger and it takes another 20 minutes for the two orders of Street tacos for my mom and I. My mom and I had two beers. We would have had more but I spent just as much time waiting at the bar as I did for our food. The ketchup and soufflé cups were not stocked. Other than our food being room temp it was pretty good. The beer was cold. But I'm over places that have a tip line on the receipt where you do everything but the cooking and the staff all have attitudes. read more

I run Favor and Door Dash and have been here regularly. I've experienced long wait times picking up those orders but have been willing to attribute that to surges in orders all at once. When we had a location in the Bluff I frequented it because I enjoyed the food. For new years we do a sampling party for New Year's and this year we are serving wings from across the city to try to determine the best. In anticipation of this I ordered mine today 2 hours in advance (3:45pm order to be ready at 5:45om). I did this for your competitors, too, just with earlier pick up times. This was my last stop. I came in at 5:50pm to find they still had another 20 minutes to go. The young, unempathetic man that greeted me acknowledged the order time 3:45 to be ready at 5:45 and didn't offer an explanation, apology or even an ETA. I had to ask. So I'm sitting here with my 20 minutes (going on 30 now) to let you know why I've determined that I won't be back to order my own food or to accept orders when I deliver because I don't believe you have customer interests in mind. When my guests (20+) try your wings they will get this story, too. I believe in customer service and that you at least should know why this is the outcome of my final patronizing of your store. Everytime I get food to go, I get sick from all the grease that the food absorbs. It just a pool of grease. I will admit that they have good wing flavors but it's hard to enjoy. The service is atrocious also. I waited at the pick up window for roughly 10 minutes. Someone saw he waiting and assumed someone else was at the counter only to find out that no one was working the counter. The main reason I eat here is because I hope the food will get better. Stood at the counter waiting to order for about 5 minutes while the guy at the bar stood there changing channels on the TV and then went over to change out the tea station. He looked at us several times and then turned around and continued to do what he was doing. The cook looked at us several times and no one bothered to come help us. I asked if the 5 wings was available for bone in and he said yes. When I got my food they were boneless. When I took it back up to the counter he told me "we don't do the 5 count in bone in." I said, I specifically asked you if I could get bone in. He said "well I misunderstood you," rudely, and then said "nevermind," and took the plate. They did remake the food. Nothing changes here. Literal children run this place. My buffalo chicken sandwich had the tiniest piece of meat on it. My son's kid's meal easily had twice as much chicken. The bun to meat ratio on my sandwich was probably 3 to 1. His chicken tenders were also dry and tasteless. This place has burned me in the past but never again. I have come to this establishment a few times already and the food was not bad at all, until today. I called in an order of buffalo salad (asked for extra chicken for the salad and if I can get it tossed with extra sauce, young lady on the phone confirmed yes) and french fries. When I arrived to the restaurant, I checked-in and the young lady at the counter said that one more dish was just getting done. Ok, no biggie. Once it was done, the same young lady (sorry didn't get a name) opened the containers of food to verify it was my order. She opened 2 containers of french fries - I had indicated I did not order 2, but oh well it was already charged, she then opens a container of fried pickles and I stated to her that it was not my order, she gave this look as if she didn't care, looks at the receipt and confirms it. I then proceeded and had asked "I was already charged right?" She confirms yes. I then told her ok well no biggie I'll take it. I like fried pickles so it's whatever. I said thank you and went about my way. I got home and boy was I quite disappointed with the food. My buffalo chicken salad had two different styles of chicken, one covered in buffalo sauce and the other plain (no sauce). The chicken was cold and it smelled like something fishy, or some type of smell that was of foul odor. I couldn't eat it. I tried the fried pickles, it was crunchy but BOY!!! was it salty as hell. Another one I couldn't handle. I tried the french fries and it was ok, but it was cold. So now my question is, if they were just finishing up on "one" of the dishes when I got there, why was everything cold to order? I would understand if the food sat for a while waiting on me, but no. We went here for the first time with a party of 10. There was only one cook for the entire place on a Saturday at 430pm. We placed a pretty good sized order with appetizers and meals. I wasn't aware that each item would come out individually as it was done. Food is called as "ready" and you pick it up at the counter yourself. We weren't in a hurry at all, so it wasn't a big deal for us, but I feel like it is something to share. Our food was good. We got wings, mushrooms, pickles, mozzarella sticks, pretzel bites, various sandwiches and chicken fingers. The variety of beer on tap was very good! This used to be one of the four places we'd go for food and drinks in the afternoon/evening until the Fall of 2024 when it seemed to just fall apart in terms of food, cleanliness, service, etc. We tried it about six times in the first quarter of 2025, but nothing had really improved. On Thursday May 8th we went there and things had improved and we were told it was under new management, so we thought we could start visiting more often. Went today Saturday May 10th a little after 3pm and ran into two problems. The first was the menu was not up to date and the waitress had to tell us what items were on the menu, but weren't actually available. Not great, but livable. The second, major problem is that they apparently have no idea what beers they have on tap. When a place has over 30 beers on tap you shouldn't have to play 20 questions to figure out what they have; they should have a beer list in some form or another. They used to have a set of displays above the bar showing what is on tap, not working. You used to be able to use the Untapped app to see what was on tap, it's now months out of date. I asked for someone on staff who knew about beers and what they had on tap, won't be in for another 90 minutes. I asked for a written beer list, doesn't exist. What's the point of having over 30 draft beers on tap for customers to have a wide selection to choose from if you can't tell your customers what you have? read more

He was unclear about what the combo included so he charged $7.00 for 2 fountain drinks. When asked about the charge on the receipt he told my wife to bring him the drinks back and he will refund the $7. The order took to come out so we asked for a refund. He refused the refund.
