I always find myself here when in Corpus. While the wings/fries/sides aren't the best, it's better than the BWW chains and locals hail this as a favorite in the area. Wings come fried with good portion size but some have a rough texture and the flavor is mainly from the sauces. I usually go with the buffalo and cajun (dry rub). The hot honey bbq is a favorite with heat + sweetness here. The tenders are long but, similar to the wings, the flavors come from the sauces. As for sides, the waffle fries are tasty and I love the broccoli; excellent seasoning for that vegetable. The Mac and cheese is basically elbow noodles tossed in a lacking velvetta cheese sauce; you're better off with other sides instead of that one. There's a sports bar atmosphere at the location with plenty of tvs and a bar area. I usually get my eats to go and eat them at my hotel but may consider getting my drink/eats on here during football season. read more

I'm surprised it took me so long to try this place since I love wings but I'm glad to finally have visited. Potentially the best wing place in corpus in my opinion. The service was lovely and the wings were delicious. There were so many sauce options too which I think I'd important for a wings restaurant. Absolutely amazing! We came on a Saturday at 2pm and though it was busy, our service was prompt. Our server, Vickie, was amazing and noticed when we needed drink refills right away. Great portions, prices and atmosphere! My son said it's his new favorite restaurant. He ate all of our hot honey garlic chicken bites, and he is a picky eater. Children's menu was perfectly portioned. Get the Birdie Sampler! You won't regret it. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. We will be back over and over again. read more

Went in for their soft opening. It was busy but we didn't have to wait long for a table. Considering it was their first day, the food came out quicker than expected. Staff were nice and didn't seem too overwhelmed. Everything tasted good. The Birdie Sampler was enough for 3 adults and 1 child. The pickle chips and mushrooms were my favorite. We ordered the lemon pepper wings with a side of dirty ranch, it was a good combination. The waffles on the chicken and waffles are sweet with sugar on them so it's not just a plain waffle. I liked them, person that ordered them didn't. Only real issue I had was that my fries could've been cooked a little longer. Didn't get a chance to sit at the bar but it looked nice. There are TV's all around the restaurant so I'm sure game nights will be packed. Will definitely be back to try other flavors and some drinks. read more

Nothing to complain about, so 5 stars! We were seated quickly & served quickly with friendly staff. The portion sizes are nice for the price and everything was hot, fresh, and tasty. I didn't really like their garlic Parmesan flavor, it's heavy on the garlic and light on the Parmesan, but that's just me. The lemon pepper was solid. Cool little place, only a handful of seats at the bar top. Staff was friendly. Fried mushrooms were mixed with a few chicken bites. I chalk that up to an inexperienced kitchen staff, they offered to make it right, so no real complaint. A vegetarian would have a real problem with it. Wings were huge. Hungry We googled to see what time Birdies closes. It said 9 pm so we took the time to drive across town (about a 13 min drive) to get some food because we like the restaurant. However when we got there at 8:29 they informed us that their kitchen closes in 1 minute which would make it 8:30 pm. WHY THE HECK WOULD YOU HAVE A "CLOSING TIME" of 9 pm when you actually stop serving at 8:30pm!?!?!? We probably will not return back to birdies because it's ran by idiots who disregard people's time and lie to their customers to get them over there just to turn them away feeling deceived and hungry. Visited Birdies on June 01st, it was my second visit. It is locally owned and managed. This time I had the burger with fries, and it was great. We are at the bar. Lilly the bar tender was very attentive, as she was on our first visit. I highly recommend this place, support local business. The prices are also great. Giving a new place a shot is always a hit or a miss. Being new I could overlook some of the items on the menu being unavailable. What I had a much harder time with was the fact that the staff seem dismissive at any question. The food was grossly over cooked we asked for condiments multiple times and didn't get them till the end of the meal. And you know when my 3 year old does t want a cheese burger because it burnt to a crisp..... that a pretty big red flag. The woman at the register asked me how our meal was... I said disappointing. Stopped by this new joint with one of the girls and absolutely loved it!! We didn't know what to expect when walking in but absolutely felt at ease once we were greeted by our handsome outstanding waiter Xavier. He kindly answered any questions we had about the menu and assisted me in ordering exactly what I wanted. We started with the birdie sampler and we were not disappointed!! Chicken bites were hot and juicy and the onion rings were to die for. Xavier then helped me pick 2 flavors for the eight piece wing combo and I absolutely loved them. PLEASE be careful eating here. I went to Birdie's yesterday, 02/23/2025 after church with my friend and I ordered 25 piece wings (to bring home to share with my fiance) and she ordered tenders. I ate about 4 of the wings, and got full quickly because we had shared an appetizer before our food. The food TASTED wonderful, but please be aware that my fiance and I both got extremely severe FOOD POISONING after eating these wings! I brought the wings home, didn't eat anymore but my fiance did eat 5 or 6 and within the hour... he was on the toilet with severe diarrhea and I ran in the other bathroom at the exact same time and started vomiting AND had diarrhea at the same time. I vomited at least every 12-15 minutes and could not drink even water. I hate to make such a negative post, but when Gabriel, the manager there refused to even apologize to me - I feel that sharing what I consider to be the worst 24 hours of my life, is the least I can do. I hope everyone avoids this place, and if you do eat there - make sure your food is cooked all the way through! :/ I ended up in the ER last night, truly feeling like I was going to die and those wings were the only thing I ate yesterday at all. I felt like an apology would've been the least he could have done but didn't even get that, so tread carefully when eating at this place! He also refused to refund my money, saying that anyone could claim they got food poisoning but it doesn't mean it for sure came from there. Fine, maybe.
