Absolutely what I like a bub to be! Cozy atmosphere, pockets of tables to sit with your group, and super friendly service. The moment I walked to the door I knew from the aromas the food was going to be good. Really good fries with a ton of good potato flavour and seasoning. The burgers are really meaty and delicious. Service is good, food is alright. I remember their fries being much crispier before, they were pretty oily that I didn't finish them. A basic burger so can't really screw that one up, a little charred but was fine. My friend advised me that there were a lot of onions in the pasta. May try again if in the area but maybe just for drinks or happy hour. read more

Nutshell: Avoid; super sketchy and overpriced. This place was completely empty except for our group who booked the room upstairs and in retrospect it makes perfect sense. Serious headache the next morning from the crappy draft. Over $30 for 3 sleeves of funky - tasting (and not in a good way) Carlsberg, and that was their beer "on special". It's $5/sleeve just down the street at the Oak & Thorne. I went downstairs to the till to pay my bill on the way out. The waitress left to get something fixed on it... over 10 minutes later (in the completely empty downstairs pub area) I'm still standing there until another staff member walked by and I asked if she could help, and she ran my bill... Then I get a message from friends later that they'd covered my $42 bill. I contacted the Barons Manor and left a message, never heard back, and its weeks later now. So to recap:draft beer that gives you a really bad hangover, overpriced, double/overbilling, no response to attempts at communication... This place is close to my home and office so may end up there again one day, hope to be able to post an updated much improved review! read more

It was ok. I ordered the Chicken Cranberry Salad, and substituted Salmon for the Chicken which cost me an extra $2, so the salad cost me $17.95. I could get a better Salmon salad for $13.89 at Black Sheep pub or go to Moxies and get their salmon salad for $19. The salad basically consisted of Spinach, no other greens, a very small amount of tomato and cheese. I would not order this again, it was not worth it. A plate of spinach is just yuck to me and costs them nearly next to nothing. My friend got the nachos, we had much better nachos elsewhere. His nachos consisted of, cheese, olives and jalapenos. Where other places will load it with tomato, green onions, peppers, onions and other vegetables or include meat. The menu says it would include tomato and green onion, however it did not come with that. We also enjoyed a 1/2 L of pino grigio which was ok. Interior was nice and comfy. Service was slow, it took a while for our waitress and then waiter for the night to come around. I have experienced much better at other places. I'll give this place another try, and if they exceed my expectations I'll edit my review. read more

My first visit here: Had a steak with prawns and mashed potato... you know what? It was very good! As a matter of fact, I have paid twice as much at "steak specialty" restaurants for meals that were not this good. Our waitress was really nice, she made the stop a lot of fun! If you enter off 96th Ave, pull all the way into the parking area, and go left.... A driveway will take you to the upper parking area. If you are in the area, definitely put this on your list to try out. Great place to stop at before ...or .... after a movie at the Colossus Langley theatres as they are only a couple KM away. read more

I work nearby and have been to this pub only about 4 times now, but enough to spot a pattern. Essentially; food is pretty good pub fare, but service is really dismal. I've dined at lunch and around dinner, and have seen the same thing; one server (and sometimes a bartender) taking care of the whole place. I'd say it was a management issue, but when you do get served, it tends to be rather disinterested and slow service. I do like the burgers, so tried to do a take out order over the phone. Guy who answered seemed bothered by the call, and when I went to pickup was ignored for a while by staff until the food came out at which time I was only then addressed. Also... and its perhaps a petty little thing, but for an order of burger and fries, just one tiny ketchup packet with the take-out? Granted, I didnt ask for one, or any, but how much coverage am I going to get with one ketchup packet? read more

Well, let's just say we gave this place one star because there is no options for NO stars ... I might be able to say the food was good ... But after 35 minutes of waiting we still had not had our order taken. Granted the server was busy ( I myself have been a server for 10 years ) but she did not even take the time to tell us she was busy .. We had our menus sitting at the end of the table for 27 minutes before we finally had enough ! That is insane ... We actually had to pay the bartender for the wine we had because even sitting with empty glasses wasn't a clue for her. We were not tucked in a corner either, we were in clear vision on her and the bartender .. They actually HAD to walk past us in order to get to the other tables. We will Never go back and will make sure to tell everyone we know about our unfortunate experience. Absolutely aweful ... Ugh read more

I am gluten free so I ordered their bacon burger bunless. The meat patty was one of the best beef patties I've ever tasted! It was gently seasoned and broiled to enhanced the flavour. You taste beef, not a lot of seasoning! I can only imagine it being heaven if I could eat it in a bun! It probably would be the perfect burger! If you are a burger fan, I urge you to patronize this place! You can get fries, salad or soup with it! read more

Was there last week for lunch with my buddy. Darn good fries and my Cheesesteak was tasty. Servers are friendly and attentive. Plenty of items on the menu worth trying. I will have no problem going back to explore. read more

This is a nice looking pub but something must be wrong because it was empty when we went. We were literally the only ones there although there was a private party upstairs. Went there a month ago, Service was AWEFUL. Food was AWEFUL. If you can't afford to give your customers a plate of Fries with the meal, instead of a plate of fry ENDS, close the doors. I sent an email to the owners and had NO response back. Very bad PR. The Baron's Manor is my favorite Pub. Dal and the entire staff are all fantastic from the Pub Manager Andrea, to every single server and Bartender. The food is always great with prices that are very affordable. I have had some amazing events here, from my 50th Birthday party with a live band and 50 people to many fundraisers and business events. Our most recent event was ThinkToberfest 2014 fundraiser for the ThinkGenerously Non Profit Society. We fit well over 100 people into the upstairs and downstairs with live music by the amazing Buddy Rogers Band. There was a good sized dance floor and the buffet style Schnitzel, Bratwurst and fixings were absolutely spectacular. Management always works hard to accommodate us and give us the best possible price so we were able to raise good money to support families in need in the area. read more
