The price of Guinness was very good. That was it. Our server spilled our beers hugely each time she brought them. Then the food. The new menu seemed interesting enough. Lots of Happy Hour items. My friend had the mini stuffed yorkies. 3 mini yorkies, the size of mini muffins, tiny. Au jus or gravy. No mashed potatoes. $18. So $6 apiece for these tiny one bite things. Huge rip off. The mini yorkies used to be fabulous and came on a bed of mashed potatoes with gravy and there were, I think, 5 or 6 of them. My chicken wings, which were usually really good, were partly raw and red at the bone for the drumettes. And just thrown into a bowl like it was a dog dish, honestly. My friend and I were rather shocked and will eat elsewhere before going there for a couple Guinness. The lady at the table next to us was going to order mini yorkies but when she saw my friend's plate she said she was glad that she did not. read more

Came in here for a drink! Server was extremely friendly and attentive. One of the best Caesar's I've had in a while. Well garnished! The drink came with a pepperoni stick, some kind of peppery cheese, pickle, and an olive. I would like to come back here for their wing night special on Thursday $10 for a pound. read more

I moved to Langley a year and a half ago and this little establishment is close to my house. I have since frequented it several times and have always been impressed. The atmosphere, the staff and the customers are all really great! They have wonderful food specials during the week - half priced burgers on Monday's, creat your own all you can eat pasta's on Wednesdays and steak and prawn special Saturday's being my favorite. Wing nights are great too. How can you go wrong? Great place, great people. great food and drinks on top of all of that. read more

'Had lunch with friends at Samz today in Surrey. Two had burgers and meat was completely dried out. I had the bruschetta and it tasted like a 5 year old made with store bought pizza sauce that tasted like ketchup. Absolutely disappointing read more

Our new favourite pub! I used to come here years ago and always found it had good food and drinks with a nice atmosphere. Years later I see that it's only gotten better! Food is great! Stopped by here for dinner on a Saturday night as it was near the hotel I was staying at for work. Had some hard ciders and beers based on what was on special and those were pretty good. Also got the dinner special, steak and prawns, and it was SUPERB! Great mashed potatoes, the veggies were pretty good, the prawns were pretty good, but the steak... Ohhhhhhh the steak! I ordered mine as rare as they'd make it, blue, which I'm not too familiar with how you Canadians do things but in the States a lot of places won't do any less than medium, and this thing came out to me practically still mooing! I was VERY happy with the steak. Very well seasoned, the outside was expertly cooked just enough, very high quality meat, it was just delicious. And all for $16 Canadian. I wouldn't be able to even go NEAR a steak and shrimp dinner in the States for less than probably about $20 US. I don't anticipate being back here for work much after about the next few weeks, but if I ever am, Samz will be getting my business again. read more

I used to pop in to this place now and again in the past and never made me want to come back. Thought I would take my gf here and give it another try, since I heard the place was renovated and hoped that the menu had changed as well. A lot of things have changed on this menu. We came last Wednesday night. Pasta night. You can build your pasta with lots of adds at no extra charge and its all you can eat. (Which you'd have to have a massive appetite since we couldn't finish the original order) We were happily surprised at how delicious the pasta was. To give a comparison, it was better than Boston Pizza wherever that fits on your pallet. Add the meatballs, add the chorizo sausage. We had a great female server (with a boy name....Michael) Friendly, helpful with menu suggestions, smiley, attentive. We're definitely coming back to try some more....and this time we're going to order wings because of the last yelpers comments. As a matter of fact, we're heading there now. read more

The service was really good. Even though there was a HUGE table on the patio we never felt neglected. Hubby had the sirloin steak and mashed taters and I had the salmon fillet with rice and veg. The steak tasted good and the taters were really yummy but as for mine....it was meh :( The salmon was dry and small. The steamed rice was like paste and in the shape of the spoon used to scoop it onto my plate, and the broccoli was cooked beautifully but in massive pieces! The service was good but I have had way better food at other pubs. I'm on the fence as to if I will return. read more

Really comfy pub! Service has been great 9/10 or so times I've been. Food is usually good. The wings are great on wing night, which I think is Thursday. They have specials every night! I love coming here for breakfast, their steak and eggs are AMAZING and well priced. Small breakfast menu though. Overall great service, prices, and the menu has a lot of variety! read more

Samz is a great spot for drinks with friends or watching the game. They have a nice covered patio. The decor is nice for a pub. They have a liquor store attached. I've never actually eaten here other than stealing a few french fries off of a friend's plate. The beer is always cold and service is good. It's kind of hidden and out of the way in Langley.
