Overall 2/5: I think this place should just stick to being a wedding venue. The food was okay, as was service. Drinks 3/5: Very yummy. They fit the vibe of the place. Loved the drinks. Food 2/5: Everything was super salty. We also found hair in at least two of our dishes. We had the scallops and shrimp which was again, too salty. The only thing really good was the shrimp cocktail which is kind of hard to mess up. My dish was the one with hair as was my friend's salad. Service 3/5: Service was okay, kind of slow. First I want to say if you're booking this place as a venue I believe it's perfect for it. You'll no be disappointed. If you're searching for brunch destinations call ahead to be sure they're serving brunch & that there is still a reasonable amount of menu items available. This was the only issue we had. The staff were amazing & we spoke with what I believe to be the owner of the venue & he's an awesome guy as well. Very pet friendly place so if you don't like dogs be aware of that. FANTASTIC. if you are like me and you've been cautious during this pandemic but you're craving a night out, look no further than the Bay Patio. It's all outdoors, the staff are very cautious about masking and sanitizing the table and chairs before you sit down, and all of the tables are spaced very far apart. (There are also some tables available inside the venue as well if you desire, and the bar is inside.) We had the BEST date night here tonight. We ordered the ceviche and it came with chips. It was delicious. My husband had their Patio Burger and he said, "This was exactly what I was hoping it would be" when he took a bite out of it. He loved it. I had the scallops and risotto, which was also top notch. The service was great. Brenda served us and she was very helpful, prompt, and kind. All in all, we couldn't be happier with the experience. The Bay Patio is such a beautiful event venue and restaurant. I have not tried the food, but I would highly recommend the cocktails and live music. During our visit, we appreciated the intimate and friendly atmosphere the restaurant had during its live Jacob Pickering concert. I have nothing but great things to say about the concert. The drinks were fairly expensive compared to other bars/restaurants in the area, but you won't find anything else like this. The view is unbeatable. I loved the St Patrick's day green cocktails and will be back to try the food. The only con is, they are not open very often. So now that I have been here a few times I can give my honest opinion on The Bay Patio! This place is absolutely amazing. I've been here for wine down Wednesday, brunch and a random weekday. First off the view is probably one of the best in all of clear lake and you CAN PULL YOUR BOAT UP DIRECTLY!!! Which will be so incredible once it gets even warmer out(check pictures) Secondly, the food is fantastic and was even able to meet Chef Rhett who is the head chef and the man in charge of the menu over there and I must say I was blown away (truly thought I was at a Michelin Star restaurant and may be top 5 places in Houston area) I have had the MASSIVE JUMBO Scallops with Risotto and they were to die for and cooked perfectly. The Patio Bar Burger was also scrumptious that was cooked exactly how I like it and served on an amazing Brioche bun. Lastly I had the Blackened Redfish for brunch and again AMAZING seafood. Lastly it's VERY DOG FRIENDLY! So don't feel hesitant to bring your dog if you have one. They have water bowls (The server Brenda even put ice in the bowl which was a nice touch), toys, poo bags and a huge place for them to play. So in conclusion, they have won my vote for best place to eat and hang for the day or night in Clear Lake. Phil Newton, the owner of the place, even came over to introduce himself once we all pulled up on the boat and took a picture of our group and was very friendly and helpful. My husband and I had dinner reservations for Valentine's Day tonight and we agreed it was the WORST service we have ever had at a restaurant. We waited over an hour for a beverage. The food was not worth the price. They took my card info and charged the prefixed menu price a week ago and then tried to charge us again tonight. None of the tables around us had good service either. As we were leaving, a couple walked in for their reservation and were told they would have to wait 20 minutes to even be seated, despite the fact that they arrived at their exact reservation time. We were also seated at a bare wobbly cocktail table while others were seated at nice tables with linens and rose petals. They must have been extremely unprepared. We will not be back. read more

So first of all the view is phenomenal and the ambiance is too. But as a restaurant or brunch location they have horrible customer service. We were there for 1.5 hrs and did not eat anything. They did not check on us while there, and we had to refill our own water, walking to the bar. On top of that after 35 min of taking our order they told us there were out of the items we ordered. Seriously? You could have done that five min or sooner than that. We had to ask multiple staff for someone to take our order, and still were ignored. The atmosphere is nice, although you can tell that the attention to detail was not there. For example, there is no sign to tell you to walk around back to enter in back and the the handles are put in incorrectly in the woman's bathroom. The service was TERRIBLE. We arrived and were pointed to our table, Instead of having the staff walk us to the table. Our table didn't have a sign with the link to the menu and no one told us what was going on, so we didn't get the menu info for about 20 minutes. We waited another 10 minutes to order drinks and it was about an hour until the food came out. When ordering our food the waitress got confused and was rude when I tried to clarify what we were ordering. We ordered pancakes and they came out without syrup??? It took the waitress ten minutes to bring out syrup after asking two times. Our blueberry pancakes were not cooked (see photo) and the bacon was burned so badly we could barely eat it. I would have walked out if I wasn't there for father's day with family. I don't know why this place bothers to serve food, it is clearly too much for them to handle. No one asked how the food was because they knew it was bad. I can't believe how much they charged for the food. It was a horrible, terrible disaster and no one gave a crap that we had a terrible time. They happily took our money though. This place is a total train wreck. Shame because it's a nice place outside, they really need to make an effort as the service and food were a terrible disappointment. Don't go here. I really loved the atmosphere here. My wife and I came for brunch and I got the pancake stack with sausage and eggs. The pancakes were amazing and I appreciated the REAL maple syrup. My wife got a bloody Mary and it was delicious! One of the best ones I've tried in a bit and it was dressed beautifully. I got the poinsettia and it was also quite tasty! We sat right by the water and enjoyed the beautiful weather on our lazy Sunday morning. I will absolutely be back to try their dinner menu and to see the seating areas with all of the outdoor lights and rock fires on at night.
