Food is good. Expensive though. I spent $44 on two things. I got the blackened salmon w/ a topping. I also got extra oysters on the topping. I also got fried shrimp w/ fries. The salmon w/ topping is $16.95. The shrimp is $13.25. Not sure how much the topping was. Got a fountain drink for $1.95. That's $32.15 so for 6 extra pieces of oyster had to be about $5 extra. It's good just a bit expensive. Service was good. Food came out really fast. Inside is okay. Not many people came in. Mostly high school kids ordering chicken tenders. Pretty cleaning inside as well. Satisfied at the number of fried fish items that came in the combo and satisfied with the questions about other items on the menu,we placed our order via UberEats as they do not do their own delivery. 2 fried fish fillets came in our fish and oysters platter,and everything looked and smelled SO GOOD - we decided to pour our Etouffee over it! Everything was flavorful and fresh,and we were not disappointed. The dirty rice had chunks of liver and the the red beans were thick. I only WISH we took a picture before we devoured it! Yahtzee (spelling?) was the one to help us over the phone. We called her back again 15 minutes before closing to tell her how much we enjoyed their food! Based on the exceptional customer service Yahtzee gave, and the delicious food the kitchen cooked up, we will be ordering again! Placed an order on a food delivery app due to the reviews. The food was good and everything was packaged well. There were a few things I didn't care for but everything was tasty. The cornbread is great. Tastes like it was baked when I ordered it and you can taste the fresh jalapeños (but not overwhelming). The gumbo was also good...the soup had alot of seafood and vegetables. The cajun corn was ok...not my favorite. I love red beans and rice but was not a fan of the red beans. The flavor was ok but for me it was too "soupy" ...very watery. Come to find out I talked to the manager Arsenio And he told me they indeed changed the name but the food is still the same. I was relieved! I got their amazing Cajun pasta. I have been eating this dish for many years. I can confirm the food is still indeed the same. So if you are in the mood for some amazing Cajun pasta and or Cajun food. This is your spot! Everything is so good here. The Cajun pasta is simply the best! I have also had the crawfish etoufee which is extreme good! The lunch portion is huge and can probably feed two people. Po-Boy was excellent. Shrimp had very flavor/tast. I give high grade to the French Bread they use. Bread is very fresh and is a little larger to hold all the shrimp. Etoufe was very good as well. Located in an older strip center, empty when we arrived, ... about 1:00ish.. first impression was that the tables were not bussed ... Walk up to counter ordering... My test we're to order the fried oysters.. a test by which I apply to all seafood restaurants... Mine came to me quickly... Presentation and size we're not too impressive... Taste was good... Happened upon this place when looking for local eatery to deliver after long day working. We were beyond impressed with the quality, quantity and flavor of the food. My parents and I have been going to Cajun Town for many years on West Little York and it is alway delicious. This was our first visit to this location. I Had the mahi mahi and it was very dry and fishy. The dirty rice was packed with big Chunks of dry liver. My dad had fried shrimp it was over cooked and my mom's salmon was also over cooked. The former Cajun town cafe has changed its name to Bayou Cajun Cafe.. with a different name comes other changes, unfortunately the 15% discount for paying with $ cash has gone bye bye :-( much to our dismay.. their cajun food is still on point, however this last visit I was looking forward to having the Crawfish etouffee combo..I've had this plate many times at their establishment and have never been dissatisfied.. but this time I didn't receive what I originally thought I ordered.. 1/2 fried 1/2 regular.. instead I was presented with 1/2 shrimp etouffee and 1/2 Crawfish.. delicious as it was it left me craving what I thought I had ordered as I had many times before in previous visits. Well, the gentleman said 10 - 15 minutes and that worked because I lived about about 8 minutes from the restaurant thinking that the food would be just right temperature. Well, food was cold, coleslaw had to be several days old because it was watery and the purple cabbage was just disgusting looking. Fish and oysters didn't have a flavor and the shrimp were boxed breaded shrimp. Nothing fresh to say the least. Very disappointed. There was a Cajun Town at Navigation (near Ninfas), but it resently closed also. So, now you can either visit Cajun Town at Inwood Shopping Center or Cajun Cafe in Spring.
