Biscuits and gravy.

Service was absolutely fantastic. We'd barely walked through the door when the server walked over and brought our 2 year old a child proof water along with ours. The owner seems to be a sweet couple, the wife was doing hostess and managerial duties and greated us warmly at the door. Her counterpart was bussing tables and was very on top of it. Sadly the food was a bit of a disappointment. Hash browns seemed to be previously frozen and were very dry and bland. Gravy was far from the best and the sausage was dry and shriveled. That being said the view was unmatched and the pancakes and eggs were on par. Would give them another shot for lunch.

Time for an early dinner. So i went safe and had a Ruben. it was good but needed Russian dressing to make it right. in the end it turned out right. Great view of the ferry's.

I would not say that this is the best restaurant option in town, but we really enjoyed our lunch there! On a cloudy Saturday we went on foot on the ferry to PT with our dog. A lot of fun walking around etc but finding a place to eat with him in tow AND find a nice view outside is not as easy amongst all the great choices around town. Bayview has a tiny outdoor patio at the ferry dock end of the building that is quite rudimentary. The planter boxes could use our gardening prowess! But they were so gracious to help us including a Senior citizen that doesn't walk as good to the patio that was all ours to sit and watch the ferry ops and sailboats "on the hook" in the bay. It's a family owned place by I think a Korean family and their teenage sons help out wonderfully. Our server was a really nice local young lady that took good care of us and checked in though we were way out there from the regular dining room. There was a huge doubled up table of a family of 12 or more that were taken care of well and so many booths with great window views inside. Think sort of dated bar/cafe vibe with good food and staff. I saw what others were eating when going through and it all looked great! I ordered a French dip and fries. Probably one of the best dips I've had in a while with tasty roast beef!! The wife tried it too and liked it. The fries large steak fries and good Jus! The ladies split a large bowl of clam chowder and they liked it! I won't eat that but it looked good enough to and big chunks of potato with saltines. They then ordered the fried oysters plate with fries and Cole slaw. Oysters fried to perfection. From this meal and what I saw others eating inside, this place knows how to fry food without it being greasy!! The Cole slaw so simple but tasty!! We all tried it. Cabbage, carrots, mayo, had a hint of orange flavor. The menu had so many other things I'd jump on including fish and chips, great burgers and other entrees and large salads. I'd eat here in a heartbeat. Thanks Bayview for making our Saturday lunch in town chill and tasty!

The menu is embarrassingly dated, like a hold over from the 1980s. Sausage or bacon or ham in every egg dish unless you like oysters instead. I appreciate minimalism, but there's really no effort at catering to a 21st century, vegetarian forward palate. The egg dishes were mediocre. The hash browns were not crispy nor juicy, rather they seemed raw and undercooked. I got the veggie 3 egg omlette, which was passable and dull. I skipped the coffee it seemed like it had scalded from sitting on a burner too long. The most fantastic dining views right on the water, however, the kitchen trotting out 1950s-era plates, and even botching up hash browns, is just a terrible sad use of space.

The chicken fried steak and fries were amazing (I asked for gravy on my fries and they happily made them for me!) The mixed vegetables were fresh and not overcooked. The salad was large and fresh!! Great service and beautiful views!! Reminds me of a restaurant from the distant past with the decor and seating. Couldn't have had a better experience!!

Visited Bay View Restaurant in Port Townsend for the first time with family, and it was a lovely experience! The restaurant offers a beautiful view, perfect for a relaxing meal. The parking lot is small, but we managed to find a spot since it was early for breakfast. We seated ourselves, and the staff was great--friendly and attentive. Our breakfast was good, though we kept it simple with basic options. I also tried the Bloody Mary, which was quite enjoyable. Looking forward to returning to try out their lunch or dinner menu!

My husband and I along with our group of friends decided to have an early dinner together here over the weekend and the service was hands down the best we've experienced. There was one server in particular who was helping our party (wish I got his name, but he was Caucasian with no hair and wore glasses), and he made taking everyone's order and cashing us out so smooth and easy! Also, his demeanor and hospitality was very kind and professional, we greatly appreciated him! The food selection was great, my husband was thrilled to have found out their special was prime rib so he got himself that and I ordered the blackened salmon. My fish was on the dry side and veggies were really salty, however the mashed potatoes and salad were flavorful and good. We would've loved to have ordered dessert but we're so full. Our friend ordered the brownie boat and strawberry shortcake which we clgot to try a little of and it was so good. If we're ever in the area again we'd love to come back here again!

Located a bit down the road from downtown Port Townsend, the old-school diner style Bayview is a great breakfast stop. - Full menu. - Great waterfront views. - Friendly service. recommended.

I had lunch at Bayview Restaurant today. I hadn't been there in a long time, and it didn't seem as good as I remember. The clam chowder was fine, but it wasn't great. The western burger was fine, but it wasn't great. I asked for plain water instead of lemon water, and it was pretty tepid. If you don't want lemon, I guess you don't get ice. I should have just asked for some, but I felt bad sending him back after I had already sent for regular water. I assumed there would be ice just like with the first glass of water. I appreciated that he offered me extra sauce right up front, and I took him up on it. The barbecue sauce was delicious. I was offered dessert, and I decided to order the raspberry rhubarb pie to go. It was very good, but I gather that they don't have it all the time. The view was beautiful, but overall, it was a pretty average experience.

Great views, good food, fair prices, and hospitable service. I'd recommend this place for sure.

Food and service have always been exemplary at this restaurant. Good view of the bay area for watching the coming and goings of the ferry.

Arguably the best Fish & Chips I've had, but bring cash!…read more We were passing through Port Townsend and wanted some seafood. Found Sea Js and we were blown away. It's a very small place, low staff, but the food was fantastic! Menu is fairly simple, with the addition of dozens of milkshake flavors! The fish & chips were fantastic! They were crispy, fresh, and well seasoned! We took a walk along the dock afterwards and were greeted by some harbor seals, great experience overall!

There are 4 tables inside. 2 were occupied & 1 wasn't bused. I went with the 2 piece halibut & chips To Go. Its mostly chips as the halibut fillets were small. Not a surprise given the price of halibut. Fish good. Real light batter & yet crispy. Coleslaw almost non-existant as it came in the same sized little plastic cup as the tartar sauce. I have to give the tartar sauce a hard pass. It was mostly mayonnaise. I don't use sauce on fish, ever. But it wasn't even good enough to dip the fries in. I dug out the homemade tartar sauce from yesterday's lunch to eat with Sea J's fries. Since I usually avoid dairy I didn't even consider the shakes, but while I was there were 2 to go orders consisting only of shakes. Must be the go to place in town for handmade milkshakes.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a friendly server and immediately impressed by the beautiful decor. There's also a bar area off to the right if you're looking to enjoy a drink. After being seated, we had time to look over the menu and decided on the fish and chips and the Northwest Burger. The burger name alone caught our attention, and we had to try it! The food was delicious and freshly made. Both dishes were full of flavor, and the quality really stood out. Combined with the fantastic service and inviting atmosphere, it made for a great dining experience. A bonus for pet owners the restaurant is dog-friendly if you're bringing your furry friend along. Dogs are welcome in the outdoor seating area. We had a wonderful experience and would definitely come back again!
