Super classic diner and a huge plus that it's super convenient to fly in for brunch. If flying, I definitely would recommend coming before 12 as that's when everyone else flocks over like little ants haha The service is super friendly and welcoming, decor is a bit old school, but so fun with all the aviation related things. I ordered a half order of the French toast which was so classically yummy. And obviously got a slice of apple blueberry crumble to go. The pie was a bit too sweet for me, but I love how thick and crumbly the crust is. Overall, solid classic place. You'll definitely see me here again (before lunch rush haha)

What a cool spot to eat lunch! You can hear and watch planes firing up, taking off and landing while you eat. I had the Reuben, the first one I've had in a while. But being the good German I am, I never say no to some good kraut. My server, I believe Vanessa, was great. I love PT, I will be back!

Delicious food! Interesting menu, competent helpful staff, and eclectic decor. I was disappointed when they delivered my over easy eggs broken and over-hard, but they made it right. Cook should have remade them before the plate even hit the window. When I make it back to Port Townsend, they will be a "must go-to" place. Apologies for the short review, I'm on a time crunch today.

The Monte Cristo was worth flying in for, and co-pilot's Chicago Dip was tender and flavourful. Yes, I hijacked a bite! It was a little difficult getting out for our return flight, but I was happy to see how busy the place was on a Sunday. Business is booming under the new ownership. The staff were friendly and did a great job under pressure. I took some rhubarb pie to go. It was homemade and delicious, although the crust was a bit bland. They may have forgotten to add a pinch of salt. Dessert pie crust should be just slightly savory. Other than that, still the best around! We'll definitely be back!

This is a hidden gem! We were greeted right away .. the food was excellent and the servings are large - I am glad to see 1/2 orders are available . Watching the planes come in was an added plus. Also keep your receipt to get 25% off your Aero Museum tickets. My husband offer Pilot special & I had the Oatmeal- yummy

*** 3.5 stars *** Ordered brunch-to-go over the phone. The food was ready in 10 minutes. Pilots Pancake Special - Nothing special. Two fluffy pancakes (pretty good but they were paired with butter not maple syrup hmmm), two eggs any style (I picked scrambled eggs - flavorless, smaller portion than expected), and one sausage patty (tasty). Old Fashion Oatmeal - My favorite out of three. Delicious original oats cooked with milk. I appreciate that they put raisins and brown sugar in separate containers. Fruit Salad w/ Cottage Cheese - Fresh fruit with huge portion of cottage cheese, but the cheese didn't taste good at all. We ended up throwing away most of it. Price was really cheap - $33 for all of these not including tip. Portion was big for the most part. Flavor was meh.

Wow where to begin! First, run don't walk to the Spruce Goose Cafe! What a gem of a place. On our way out of town visiting Port Townsend a girlfriend and I stopped in for breakfast. At first we thought we might be lost as we were driving into the Jefferson County International Airport but soon we discovered the best restaurant around. We had just missed breakfast hour but the lunch menu was fabulous too. Enjoyed the clam chowder (Friday special) and a tuna sandwich on rye. Busy place with lots of locals and smiling people. The staff were all super friendly. We purchased some cute merchandise to take home with us too. We will be coming back for the breakfast soon. Don't miss this amazing little spot!

The pulled pork breakfast burrito is amazing--definitely one of the standouts and something we'd order again. I was a little hesitant to try the Boat Yard Hash again because I'd ordered it a few years ago and found it very underwhelming--mostly potatoes and not much flavor. I'm so glad I gave it another shot! This time it was completely different and absolutely delicious. It had tons of flavor and was a huge improvement from what I remembered. The biscuits and gravy were another winner. The gravy was packed with flavor and made the dish much more interesting than the bland, flour-and-milk style gravy you sometimes get. Three dishes, three hits. This visit was an easy 5 stars for us.

They were busy on a Saturday morning, with a consistent wait of 2-4 tables (20 min or so). I think there were three servers covering the restaurant, each with probably about 6 tables. Our server was incredibly friendly but not that efficient. She'd grab one thing, drop it off, then go grab another and do it again instead of holding something in each hand, for example. If you're in a hurry, this may not be the best place but it's decent if you have a couple hours for a meal. The place has a down to earth, kitschy feel. I'd avoid the booths though - at least mine was free standing and connected to the person behind me. Every time they stretched or moved backwards, they'd push me into the table. I started with orange juice. It was fine, like Tropicana with lots of pulp. I ordered a breakfast burrito with smoked brisket, pepper jack, and caramelized onions. I have no idea how, but it was kind of bland. The meat was tender but didn't really taste like anything (needed more salt?) and I thought they'd forgot the onions until I found one inside. If I'd been blindfolded and you told me it was a cheese burrito with shredded pork, I probably would have believed you. It wasn't bad but it was so forgettable it's hard for me to even describe. If you're at the marina and you're not in a hurry, this may be worth a shot. Unless I'm with that friend who loves it, I'll probably try something else next time I'm in the area though.
