Beach buzz inside the sapphire beach. The food was ok. Price was too much. Look at the pic of my receipt. They have a menu with breakfast sandwiches and the price.. kool, I'm ok with the price. Why did they charge me extra for bacon and croissants on the sandwiches. What's the purpose of having a sandwich price on the menu if u charge extra for bacon. There is no way u charge people $8 for a breakfast sandwich with just eggs!!! Well that's what I get for not looking at my receipt until I got home.

Quick & yummy! I stayed at Sapphire Beach resort and this was my go to place for a coffee and breakfast sandwiches. There was always a line, but I was in and out in less than 15 minutes.

We stopped by The Beach Buzz for our morning lattes before heading to town to enjoy the shopping district. The place is pretty cool, nice location, right next to Sapphire Beach at the east end of St. Thomas, and the seating area is basically on the beach. The interior of the space is nice... it's as much a souvenir shop as a coffee shop. Our lattes were served lukewarm, and the server acted very bothered that we asked her to heat them up. Not sure how they made that mistake, it seemed the milk wasn't steamed before it was added to the coffee. But, that's a latte. On the upside, we also tried one of their breakfast sandwiches, sausage, egg and cheese on an English muffin. That was an awesome sandwich. So, the 3-star rating is driven by the great sandwich, offset by the terrible coffee, with a little bit of positive kudos for the great location. We found other coffee shops with minutes of the Sapphire Beach area, so we'll likely not be going back to The Beach Buzz.

If you're looking for a yummy, quick breakfast that is right on the water, this is your spot. We came on a Tuesday morning and we were the only ones there. It's located within one of the resorts but it's steps away from the beach so you can enjoy your breakfast with a beautiful view! Service was meh but honestly not surprising as it seems that's the standard on the island. Food is cooked fresh which I appreciate. Coffee was just ok, not great but did the job. I would come back solely for the view and a bagel sandwich.

Great place to grab breakfast! Great staff, quick service, their croissant sandwich is the best.

Great coffee shop with excellent cold brew and great sandwiches! Barista Taylor and Owner Mike are the best! They recommended Hemp milk with my coffee and it was great! This coffee shop also sells coffee cocktails, smoothies, ice cream, souvenirs and toiletries. Great option to have on the resort. Tip: you can still come over even if you're not staying at resort. Let parking attendant know you're here for the cafe and they will direct you to the parking lot on the left. Hours: 7 am - 4 pm, every day. Breakfast til noon.

Amazing coffee every day and I don't like coffee but they make a great iced mocha with caramel. Great service too. Breakfast sandwiches have been great and today we had lunch at the outdoor eatery which I think is apart of it? Either way my hamburger was SO good. Glad we tried it and got here in time, Saturday's and Sunday's they close at 4. I had the best Virgin pina colada too! I forgot to take a pic of my amazing burger.

Three of us were shopping mid-morning and asked each vendor for a good place for breakfast. All recommended a well-known place. Unfortunately, we'd eaten there previously on this trip and wanted something different and better. The nice lady at Xxxxx recommended Calypso. She was sooo excited describing their delicious crepes. Well we found our way to Diamond Dire t and run to Calypso. I had a veggie omelette with whole wheat toast. The veggies were fresh and the omelette quite tasty. My brother (a carnivore) had some scrambled eggs with bacon on the side. When the plate arrived, the aroma of the perfectly cooked bacon brought an approving smile to everyone's face. My nephew had an "Indian" omelette (with ham and veggies). Quite delicious. He also had a freshly made fruit smoothy. I sampled 2 of the coffees, and liked them both. I settled for the strong one with a shot of Bailey's Irish Cream. Scrumptious!! The hostess and the chef were so sweet, attentive and friendly. Made us feel like "regulars". I will definitely be returning to Calypso on my next trip to St. Thomas! "D & M" at Calypso: Thank you for a "delicious and nutritious" breakfast. But more so for a real, personal, warm experience.

You walk through a jewelry store to get to a small restaurant that combines Virgin Islands Ice Cream shop with Calypso Cafe. Most of the seats were taken, and all we saw was a line to place your order at the front. My husband waited in line while I found a table that hadn't been cleaned yet. It was very busy there. He ordered us 2 brownies and 2 bottles of water for $16. The lady at the counter gave herself a tip by taking $3 of the change and giving him back $1. He was going to give her all the change ($4) back, but after that incident he was floored. To add insult to injury, she didn't give us what we paid for. She proceeded to help the next person in line for an ice cream shake order. We waited and waited and no one acknowledged us after trying to flag someone down. We finally got the attention of a different lady who was helping people who were seated in the back. I think her name is Cameron. She didn't fully understand our frustration, and we had to explain that we didn't get the items that we had already paid for. She made it all right, and even offered to warm up the brownies. We just didn't feel like waiting longer for it. I'm giving benefit of the doubt here since maybe we just didn't understand the ordering system. Maybe there's a service charge that we didn't know about. How could we? We didn't even get a receipt. Perhaps there's another line for Calypso Cafe? I don't know. Honestly, the lady at the counter should have informed Cameron before proceeding on to the next customer. It only takes 2 seconds. I mean, really! Will we go back? Absolutely not! We'll go somewhere else the next time we're in Charlotte Amalie. It wasn't worth the long wait for 2 bakery items and water.

Was going to order a lot of food but cut it down to half since I had to ask for the password 3 times and she didn't want to give it to me until I ordered! When she asked for our order and after asking for the 2nd time, she looked at me and said she has to go make coffee instead while huffing and puffing. Neglected me again to give me the wifi password until the 3rd time and gave it easily when she was about to take the order... What was sooooo F'n HARD about giving me the easy wifi password!?! WTF! I obviously wanted to check in and needed it even more to write this review right away on her horrendous behavior! She mentioned she didn't even know what day it was and that she was making a lot of mistakes already... No sh*t, you made the mistake to neglect giving me the easy a** password! The younger guy in the Nintendo hat was friendly and greeted us immediately. The ambience was what drew me in to this place too bad the old lady's attitude sucked A*S! Not giving you business again after this day. Unfortunately this is one of the only places for coffee on a weekend day around this area You're welcome for the extra business bc we did end up getting a second round of coffees bc it was decent enough to drink more and the bagel was flattened and easier to eat so that was appreciated. Too bad she couldn't have been right in the mind and just gave me the F'n wifi password when asked the 1st time! To the Rude Barista - Fix your stank A** attitude or take the day off since working on a Saturday is totally throwning you off!

If not, look up the location here and you'll get there! Super nice owner/operator, originally from the States, but in St. Thomas for years. The lattes were perfect, espresso to milk ratio, and piping hot. We also had the cubano panini, which was da bomb! As an after thought, we picked up a pistachio muffin, which was also very good as well. I'm not one to regularly give coffee shops 5-star ratings, but Parley Cafe deserves it! Highly recommend Parley Cafe for coffee, sandwiches and snacks!

While you wait, enjoy a Painkiller. This is another specialty that can now be bought by the gallon and brought home. The location is right off of the main road, but you wouldn't necessarily notice except when a truck drives by. His friendly dogs will keep you company and are always protecting you from local wildlife. Coco Jim's is a highly recommended experience for anyone visiting St. John.
