My husband and I went to Beacon last Saturday night. We valet parked the car and was told that there was no way we were getting in without a reservation. We went in anyway and there were about 20 people tops inside. That was surprising but good for us. Sat at the bar and looked at the menu. Great, happy hour lasts until 6:30 and it's only 6:10. Connor, our server, came over and I said "We have 20 more minutes until happy hour is over!" He looks at me and says "No, that is not right." I thought he was kidding but apparently he was not. They haven't bothered to change the main menu to say happy hour ends at 6. He then showed me the happy hour menu which has the correct times. Not a positive start since I can't order from that menu u anyway. The crab salad had very little crab. I asked for well done bacon for the burger and it came out raw. The manager came over later and asked how things were and I told him my concerns. He said "I'm sorry" and walked away. All the employees seemed very unhappy to be there. My 2nd favorite local restaurant. New happy hour menu is epic. Shrimp, sliders, tuna are unbelievable. The Top Side bar area overlooking the inlet and lighthouse is just amazing. What a delightful culinary treat! The food, the service and the atmosphere are Devine. The Gem Caesar Salad was so delicious, if you love anchovies and Parmesan these will speak to your heart! The salmon and broccolini was cooked to perfection and quite possibly the best salmon I have had in years from the Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic. The seasoning in the brocollini was unique and a perfect non carb option to the salmon. The Charred Octopus was also cooked to perfection and a delightful teaser to dinner. Literally everything we ordered was 5 Stars! Our server Terry was an absolute delight and completed the evening with jokes, conversation and a full education on each dish! I made a reservation tonight for my engagement celebration with my new fiancé. I made a terrace reservation for 7:30. I showed up on time and was informed that they did not have any room to accommodate us for another hour and half or we could have an indoor table. We were bummed but took the table just to be sat in window view of two tables completely open. We were not sure why our reservation was not treated with the same respect as other reservations or why we were told our reservation couldn't be accommodated for when that wasn't the case. We left and went to 1000 north where the service is always amazing. Can't wait for my tour with the lessings at the crane club tomorrow. I received an email from Beacon after dining there the night before. They thanked me for my visit and asked for feedback. I responded to the GM but did not hear back. I'm glad to see your email and would love to take you up on this opportunity to provide feedback. I have now dined at Beacon 3x and I am sorry to say that each time I have left feeling underwhelmed by the food. Our bill for 4 people was $500+ yesterday for a meal that was very mediocre. We do not have plans to return unless we hear of improvements to your food. We absolutely love your decor and location, it's right down the street from where we live in Jupiter and we always say that it's such a shame that we do not feel compelled to visit more often. The service is always impeccable, however the food never lives up to our standards. Each time I think maybe I ordered the wrong thing, but after visiting 3x now and trying a variety of dishes, I do not think my order choices are to blame. I see Beacon as the type of place for people that don't really know good food but are looking for a flashy presentation with the foams, smokes etc. After removing all of the fluff, you are left with either a dry, flavorless dish, or an over seasoned, saucy dish. In particular, we ordered oysters yesterday that were flooded with mignonette. My dad, a former restaurant owner, and his wife, a foodie from Tokyo, were very disappointed that they could not enjoy the flavor of the oyster that they paid $6 a pop for. Additionally, we ordered a $69 file mignon that was lackluster in flavor. And a $49 or $59 dollar piece of swordfish that also had zero flavor, aside from the very bitter droplets of golden tomato pomodoro on top. I ordered the Bucatini Cacio e Pepe which was overcooked soggy pieces of bucatini. And our salad, which had the freshest greens and shaved veggies, was overdressed. The quality of your food is on point, but your kitchen staff needs better training. Please understand that I am not the customer that comes in and picks every dish apart, but I do enjoy great food and I do wish the Beacon could deliver because there is so much potential there. Beaufiful restaurant with a spectacular view of the light house. There we're three of us and we all ordered salmon as our main dish. all were beautifully plated and served piping hot. one of the salmon dishes tasted as though an entire salt shaker had been dumped on it. The dish was removed but by the time it was returned the other two dinners had been finished for quite some time. The food while presented beautifully was nothing special and certainly not worth the cost. This was our first time at this restaurant on Christmas Eve. We had a reservation but went a little early and we were seated at the bar/open kitchen and had a cocktail, which was excellent. The Hostess had kept us updated on our table and we were seated as requested. We went right for our main course, Prime rib special and bone-in pork chop, both were amazing. The service was exceptional and very attentive. The dessert looked very good, but we declined as we were too full. I highly recommend, if you are looking for an amazing dining experience! read more

We went here for our 20th anniversary. The service was terrible, portions were small, food was over and under cooked. It took our waiter 30 minutes to just get us wine. Then he told us we had to order all our food at once. My husband had a filet with mashed potatoes and they gave him a tablespoon of potatoes. His asparagus was raw and my lobster pasta had two pieces of lobster. The view was beautiful and food presentation was nice. read more

The Beacon, I am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration with the treatment I received at your restaurant recently. On 03/30/24, I visited The Beacon for drinks with my date and her sister. We were enjoying our evening when suddenly, I was approached by a member of your staff who informed me that I needed to leave the premises. I was shocked and confused by this request, as I had not done anything to warrant such action. I was then told that another customer had complained that I was taking photos of them. I want to make it clear that I did not take any photos of anyone while at your restaurant! In fact, I showed the staff member my phone and even requested for him to check the security cameras before making such accusations. My only focus was on enjoying my evening, sunset and the company of my date. Being asked to leave in such a manner was not only embarrassing but also deeply upsetting. It ruined what should have been a pleasant evening. As a regular customer of The Beacon, I have always enjoyed the atmosphere and the food at your establishment. However, this experience was atrocious. I need an apology for the way my guests and I were treated and reassurance that steps will be taken to ensure that such incidents do not occur in the future. Your staff members should not use his "power" as a manager to make accusations, especially when I did absolutely nothing wrong. It appears that who ever talked to the manager confused me or was senile. Additionally, the manager should have spoken to me about the issue instead of asking me to leave right away in front of my guests. Please be advised that if I do not receive a written apology from your staff member and The Beacon Management, my lawyers will pursue this matter further and seek punitive damages. The dishes were all served lukewarm, which in my book is an automatic no-no--especially given the restaurant's price point for its plates. The food, service and ambiance were amazing. From the moment we walked in the service was excellent. Sam was our waitress and she was amazing and great personality. She made sure we all were satisfied. Sebastian and Ismael assisted her and they were amazing. Asst Manager Bo came to our table to make sure everything was going good and to ensure our food met expectations. Now it just keeps getting better with service when the General Manager Matthew comes over as well to check on us and to make sure all boxes were checked. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone. The grouper with lump crab was amazing and my guests enjoyed their steak and items as well. My Cadillac Margaritas were great which most bartenders miss the mark but not here. read more

Excellent meal. I am happy that we are finally getting some decent and creative restaurants in Jupiter area. Usually every restaurant in the jupiter area have a version of the same menu that never changes. Conch fritters, chicken wings, fried calamari, burgers. All pre-made and previously frozen. Focus on familiarity rather quality. All of these restaurants with fantastic million dollar views with no intention to elevate a meal's quality or taste and serve the masses. Beacon is making an attempt to change that and I hope the locals will support quality over convenience. We ordered 4 entrees, 2 desserts and 2 drinks. Prior the food arriving a complimentary Bread plate was served which was exquisite and inventive. For the entrees we had the Corn Bisque Soup, Wahoo Sashimi Dish (Local Catch Crudo), Beef Carpaccio, Duck Pasta which was plenty for 2. I have to say that all the dishes were very well balanced, flavorful and beautifully plated. The Pasta was made in house and fantastic. What really surprised me was the great balance of flavors the dishes had. Refined would be a better fit. I was surprised that 4/4 dishes were excellent. For the deserts we ordered the chocolate desert and the Pavlova. I have to add that both were excellent meeting or even exceeding the quality of the entrees which is no small feat. Service staff was friendly, fast and helpful. Some critique, the duck pasta flavor was perfect, presentation can be worked on, the menu had a few items that had no price and were Mp. I can certainly understand variable pricing due to weight or scarcity but a weighed prime cut of beef with Mp next to it is questionable for me, and reminiscent of tourist trap pricing in Europe. i.e. Cigala Pricing in Spain or Catch of the Day pricing in some italian restaurants. I would like to understand their reasoning for this. Overall a great experience and will return and order more dishes to compare. read more

We came here for my birthday brunch at 1 on a Sunday and sat outside four of us. One star for atmosphere and amazing view. Hostess was accommodating to let us sit wherever there was an open table and pleasant. I do not recommend coming for brunch in the afternoon when they close at 2. Everything on the buffet was either soggy like the avocado toast or been sitting there for awhile or not replenished like the fruit and oysters. When ask to make something off the menu the waitress replies kitchen not open for dinner yet and will get back to me to which she never did. We had a vegan at our table and the waitress had no problem bringing out freshly made food that was in the buffet without dairy for him but couldn't bother going any farther for anyone else. For 60$ not worth the mediocre food. Two of us barely ate anything and one got taken off the bill. The server and hostess knew we were upset and neither cared to do anything about it but to tell us to go talk to the manger like we knew which one that was. read more

Beacon used to be great and we loved coming there. The service tonight was slow, one of our main dishes was delivered 20 minutes after all the others. Two of your selections, chick peas fries and roasted oysters were not available even though it was just 5:30pm and they are still on your menu. The other selections were bland and the rest of our party were unimpressed. The manager asked about our food but didn't really want to listen and gave us a credit for the one entree. We were a party of 7 and had requested outside seating in our reservation and the two times we called to confirm but were told it wasn't available tonight though there were many open tables outside. I LOVE the location... such a great spot... waited 6 weeks to get in.... food is very good when it finally arrives... pastry chef is phenomenal... the front end needs to get it together... food is slow... drinks slow... soup cold, and the recovery was weak... it's not about being perfect... but it is about proper "recovery" when a mistake happens... open concept kitchen let me see there are a few reasons to be concerned about cross contamination, probably no different than most restaurants but seeing it makes it more scary... managers are present but only semi involved.... really hoping they get it together soon... I really want this place to be a 5 star.... kitchen delivers but they need support! I think a super experienced rock star manager could fix it all in 30 days with some hard work... if your that manager, please apply to work there! read more

Phenomenal. Visited Beacon for the first time for my Husband's birthday and we were very impressed. Every course was beautifully prepared and so tasty. Our server, Nick R was great but I have to give major praise to the bus but Jaime who, after forgetting my sunglasses at the table, ran them out to the parking garage to return them to us. Beacon was a recommendation from a friend that has been there. The atmosphere and service were great. Justin our server was attentive and informative. We ordered steak tartar and crudo for appetizers. They were both tasty but the crudo had inconsistent cuts, some were thicker on one side and paper thin on the other. Then we had cacio de pepe and paccheri siciliano and both were flavorful. Our entrees were pork chops and the catch of the day. Both had incredible flavor and presentation. Our only complaint was none of the food was hot, barely room temperature. My feeling is when you're at a high end restaurant there is a team of culinary artist in the kitchen that should be able to it's you get hot food from the kitchen to the table. read more

Strictly speaking about Sunday brunch. Zero effort to clear plates, fill waters, or get refills on complimentary mimosa/bloody's. Most of the food was overcooked due to sternos being left on and nothing rotated. Topside and Lucky's are worth the visit, Beacon not so much. read more
