The macadamia crusted grouper was a very good fish sandwhich. The fish tacos were not very good, the mahi was tough. The service wasn't great. They did not refill our waters, and they got my order wrong. I asked for fried rice but was given french fries. They did correct the issue, but it took a long time to get the rice, so it really messed up the flow of our meal. As a note, they charge a 20% service charge to on all checks 'to be able to pay a living wage'. I think that's crap. Pay your employees a living wage and adjust your menu prices to suit that. Adding a forced percentage isn't as woke as you think it is...makes me feel like the restaurant is pulling something.

Well we were in time for the last part of happy hour but did not partake. Started with drinks and a fish dip appetizer which came with veggies, crackers, jalapenos, & those Greek peppers added bonus. One of the better fish dips we've tried. For some reason my bland drinks of lemonade and the ginger ale were really watered down. I guess it meant just drinking water with lemons. I had the conch chowder and that too needed a little more tomato paste it too was rather watered down. My husband had the onion soup and he stated his was fine. Must be my night to get things watered down. The main entree outdid itself, it was the Parmesan & herb encrusted grouper on a bed of spinach Parmesan risotto which was delicious. A note to the chef is that he should have waited the spinach on one side in olive oil and a little garlic then added to the risotto because it shows that it was added and tossed as the risotto came off the stove. Hubby had a tuna sarachi salad with cucumbers, grape tomatoes over a bed of seaweed in a bowl and that awesome and very tasty. Something new for me to try on my family at home. The portions were really large and completely satisfying. So the drinks may have been watered down out of the machine but the meal made up for it in spades. Glad they were in their off season so there was no wait for a table and we went there early enjoying the atmosphere on the water and taking our time savoring the food as we went along. I guess you could say we were celebrating our anniversary a week later just the two of us because usually we're with one of our kids. Mia our server did a great job.

This is an excellent option for a nice atmosphere with a great variety of food and good service. We visited here twice and ordered everything from nice entrees to the burgers. The grouper sandwich also earned wonderful reviews as it was huge and delicious. The Mediterranean bowl was my favorite with a slight hint of spice and a light sauce it complimented the ingredients perfectly. They do add a 20% gratuity but the ser justifies it. The only downside was we walked in on Mother's Day and group of girls working the hostess stand were unable to answer if they were taking walk ins. They kept saying they had reservations. They were very confused and no manager ever came to help them. Two customers yelled at them because none of the five hostesses could answer questions. Other than the lack of training for the hostesses everything was great.

We stopped in for a couple of drinks by the water. We also ordered the crab chowder and key lime pie. Everything was great! If i lived in the area I would probably be here a lot! Very heavy on seafood (my favorite) and the ambience of a sea side town.

This is a great place for fresh seafood and sushi with waterfront dining. It is not fancy in any way. Just simple key west pastel decor with a plentiful amount of nautical items including a very large taxidermy sailfish at the entrance. There is plenty of inside and outside seating and an outside bar as well as a covered outside dining area for group gatherings for special occasions. The reservation system is very simple for table booking. and we were promptly seated outside under a well shaded umbrella. The specials menu was very nice and we started with the conch fritters. Nice in size and full of conch pieces. We also ordered the grilled fish tacos which came with fries. The Fish Tacos were filled with a housemade sauce and coleslaw, and the Tuna Poke Bowl was the best thing from the menu. It had a very generous amount of fresh chopped sushi grade tuna mixed with cucumbers, avocado and tomatoes on top of seaweed salad. The spicy masago dressing was not spicy at all but very good. It came with tortilla chips which was a little weird and would have been perfect if it had sesame crackers or seaweed chips on the side. Overall I was so happy to have dined here to enjoy some delicious food with great service. I will definitely come back to try some of the other menu items next time.

First visit 5/1/25 Lesley & I enjoyed an excellent dinner, outside on their patio. Service was great. I went with fish & chips as our server (Hannah W) recommended it. She described it perfectly, lightly breaded and delicious. Lesley went with a grouper sandwich and was equally impressed. I enjoyed a couple draft beers as well. They were cold and tasty!

We love the food at Frigates. I came here the other day and ordered the crusted fish sandwich. It was probably the best I've ever had and I always get it with sweet potato fries and a lovely maple cream sauce. Absolutely love the view.

We wanted a seafood dinner for reasonable prices. We ordered fish and chips, and a cesaer salad with chicken and shrimp. The food was delicious. We ate outside and it was so nice the set up out there. Service was lacking a bit, but overall a good experience. Our server didn't fill our water and seemed to go MIA for a while at a time.

AMAZING oysters and best wings I've had ever!!!!! Staff super friendly. Very crude and affordable place

Bad foto but the absolutely delicious food.

The food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the chefs special. It was a fish cooked in lemon butter and the gravy was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Parmesan encrusted grouper it was very good but my husband's dish was so good I wish I would have ordered it. The sangria was made to perfection. For appetizers we ordered the fish dip and conch fritters and both were delicious. Definitely a place we will go back to.

Can't say anything bad about this place! It's a very nice atmosphere with a big outdoor deck for outdoor dining with heat lamps and an outdoor bar as well overlooking some small body of water. The staff is very friendly and the food is good and it's very fair pricing, so what's not to like! If you're in the area, check it out. They have a big menu with a lot of options. They also have self & valet parking.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waitress was on it--super attentive! The lunch menu had so many good options, it was hard to choose. We kicked things off with the conch fritters and cracked conch--so good. The Spicy Mediterranean had just the right kick, and the seafood risotto? Creamy perfection. The New Orleans Jambalaya had the perfect balance of sausage and shrimp. Add in the refreshing breeze and a nice view...I'd definitely come back.

Have they redone their menu to include more gluten friendly items? When we were there a year ago our server told us that they were in the process of creating a whole new menu.

I don't remember seeing any gluten-free items on the menu when I was there a few months ago. I could be wrong though.

When does this restaurant actually close?

Everything from the ambiance to the food and even the service was phenomenal. Great dining room area with both an outdoor and indoor bar. We sat with the bartender AB that immediately greeted us with waters and their menu. They are currently running a pick 2 for $15.99 menu that has some pretty great options. We had 2 meals & chose the wings, blackened shrimp po boy with the small gumbo's. Wings were super crispy, juicy, and tender. With a nice light Smokey taste. They buffalo and blue cheese sauce was actually pretty impressive. The po boy had a good amount of shrimp to bread ratio, with a nice sauce included. The gumbo had a deep rich flavor, but was not overly heavy with fatty meats. We were also informed of the happy hour oyster special, so we ended up getting a few of the rockerfella and raw. The rockerfella was amazing with melty cheese, a nice garlic flavor, & served with crispy bread slices. The raw came with crackers, lemon, wine vinegar, and a tasty cocktail sauce. Both were delicious. Marco, the manager came and spoke with us about our experience which really showed the attention to detail this restaurant offers. After sharing our story of visiting New Orleans a few years ago and bragging about the beignets, he brought us 2 out to finish our meal. I have to say, these were better than the ones I've had at cafe beignet in NOLA. They were HOT out the fryer to the point where the powdered sugar was slightly melted. Crisp outside dough but gooey soft in the center. A unreal experience to end a fantastic meal. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Luckily my sister lives 5 mins from this place but I would easily drive a hour or 2 when visiting from out of town just for this experience. Marco and AB really went above and beyond to make sure this was a special outing on a regular ole' Monday, and we could not have left happier.
