    Conch chowder

Well we were in time for the last part of happy hour but did not partake. Started with drinks and a fish dip appetizer which came with veggies, crackers, jalapenos, & those Greek peppers added bonus. One of the better fish dips we've tried. For some reason my bland drinks of lemonade and the ginger ale were really watered down. I guess it meant just drinking water with lemons. I had the conch chowder and that too needed a little more tomato paste it too was rather watered down. My husband had the onion soup and he stated his was fine. Must be my night to get things watered down. The main entree outdid itself, it was the Parmesan & herb encrusted grouper on a bed of spinach Parmesan risotto which was delicious. A note to the chef is that he should have waited the spinach on one side in olive oil and a little garlic then added to the risotto because it shows that it was added and tossed as the risotto came off the stove. Hubby had a tuna sarachi salad with cucumbers, grape tomatoes over a bed of seaweed in a bowl and that awesome and very tasty. Something new for me to try on my family at home. The portions were really large and completely satisfying. So the drinks may have been watered down out of the machine but the meal made up for it in spades. Glad they were in their off season so there was no wait for a table and we went there early enjoying the atmosphere on the water and taking our time savoring the food as we went along. I guess you could say we were celebrating our anniversary a week later just the two of us because usually we're with one of our kids. Mia our server did a great job.

This is an excellent option for a nice atmosphere with a great variety of food and good service. We visited here twice and ordered everything from nice entrees to the burgers. The grouper sandwich also earned wonderful reviews as it was huge and delicious. The Mediterranean bowl was my favorite with a slight hint of spice and a light sauce it complimented the ingredients perfectly. They do add a 20% gratuity but the ser justifies it. The only downside was we walked in on Mother's Day and group of girls working the hostess stand were unable to answer if they were taking walk ins. They kept saying they had reservations. They were very confused and no manager ever came to help them. Two customers yelled at them because none of the five hostesses could answer questions. Other than the lack of training for the hostesses everything was great.

This place never disappoints I live in Boynton, but when I'm up in North Palm Beach working I always stop here with lunch or dinner. The only thing I'm not a big fan of is the automatic 20% gratuity because when it's not crowded, you get great service if it's busy, and I've been here before when it's busy for dinner that would be a problem.

We stopped in for a couple of drinks by the water. We also ordered the crab chowder and key lime pie. Everything was great! If i lived in the area I would probably be here a lot! Very heavy on seafood (my favorite) and the ambience of a sea side town.

Bad foto but the absolutely delicious food.

The food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the chefs special. It was a fish cooked in lemon butter and the gravy was delicious and the fish was cooked perfectly. I ordered the Parmesan encrusted grouper it was very good but my husband's dish was so good I wish I would have ordered it. The sangria was made to perfection. For appetizers we ordered the fish dip and conch fritters and both were delicious. Definitely a place we will go back to.

First visit 5/1/25 Lesley & I enjoyed an excellent dinner, outside on their patio. Service was great. I went with fish & chips as our server (Hannah W) recommended it. She described it perfectly, lightly breaded and delicious. Lesley went with a grouper sandwich and was equally impressed. I enjoyed a couple draft beers as well. They were cold and tasty!

We love the food at Frigates. I came here the other day and ordered the crusted fish sandwich. It was probably the best I've ever had and I always get it with sweet potato fries and a lovely maple cream sauce. Absolutely love the view.

Frigates Waterfront Bar & Grill is a must-stop in North Palm Beach for fresh seafood, fabulous drinks, cool island-vibe music, with waterfront views. Pull your boat up to their dock and dine. The service was awesome -- I described the kind of drink I wanted, and our server, Victoria, had the bartender craft it perfectly. The coconut macadamia-encrusted grouper sandwich was absolutely delicious, and served with sweet potato fries... yummy! Great atmosphere, great food, and great service. Definitely going back!

We wanted a seafood dinner for reasonable prices. We ordered fish and chips, and a cesaer salad with chicken and shrimp. The food was delicious. We ate outside and it was so nice the set up out there. Service was lacking a bit, but overall a good experience. Our server didn't fill our water and seemed to go MIA for a while at a time.

Can't say anything bad about this place! It's a very nice atmosphere with a big outdoor deck for outdoor dining with heat lamps and an outdoor bar as well overlooking some small body of water. The staff is very friendly and the food is good and it's very fair pricing, so what's not to like! If you're in the area, check it out. They have a big menu with a lot of options. They also have self & valet parking.

From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a smile and seated right away. Our waitress was on it--super attentive! The lunch menu had so many good options, it was hard to choose. We kicked things off with the conch fritters and cracked conch--so good. The Spicy Mediterranean had just the right kick, and the seafood risotto? Creamy perfection. The New Orleans Jambalaya had the perfect balance of sausage and shrimp. Add in the refreshing breeze and a nice view...I'd definitely come back.

Have they redone their menu to include more gluten friendly items? When we were there a year ago our server told us that they were in the process of creating a whole new menu.

I don't remember seeing any gluten-free items on the menu when I was there a few months ago. I could be wrong though.

When does this restaurant actually close?

Sometimes the best restaurant discoveries aren't planned. They're the result of hunger, a long…read moredrive, and a Google search that happens to get it exactly right. On our drive home from Miami to Jacksonville, we traded Interstate 95 for the slower, more scenic A1A. It made for beautiful views, but after crawling through one coastal town after another, lunch became a priority. A quick search landed us at Stage Kitchen & Bar on PGA Boulevard, a restaurant I later learned had earned a place in the 2025 Michelin Guide. After one meal, it was easy to understand why. We began with two appetizers that could not have been more different, duck confit egg rolls and a grilled cheese. Calling the grilled cheese "just a grilled cheese" would be unfair. Brie melted between perfectly griddled bread kissed with white truffle oil already sounds luxurious. Pair it with a bright mango jam and suddenly a childhood comfort food becomes something unexpectedly elegant. Richness met sweetness in all the right proportions. The duck confit egg rolls were equally memorable. The duck was deeply seasoned with Middle Eastern spices, giving each bite layers of warm, savory flavor. The accompanying peanut chutney added sweetness, nuttiness, and just enough contrast to keep the dish from becoming too heavy. These egg rolls packed far more personality than their modest appearance suggested. For lunch, my wife ordered the grilled black grouper sandwich. The fish, sourced fresh from local suppliers, was flaky, moist, and clean tasting. Lettuce, tomato, onion, and a malt vinegar aioli gave the sandwich brightness without overwhelming the fish. It was simple, balanced, and exactly what a fresh fish sandwich should be. I chose Stage's signature burger, two Certified Angus Beef patties topped with aged white cheddar, caramelized onions, sunflower sprouts, and their house "fancy sauce." This is the kind of burger that reminds you why burgers became America's favorite sandwich in the first place. Cooked to a juicy medium, every bite was rich without becoming heavy. The caramelized onions added sweetness, the white cheddar delivered sharpness, and the sunflower sprouts provided freshness and texture. The fancy sauce contributed just enough heat to keep everything interesting without stealing the spotlight. Dessert continued the restaurant's habit of taking familiar flavors and giving them thoughtful refinement. My sticky rice ice cream, finished with mango sauce and toasted coconut, captured everything I love about mango sticky rice while transforming it into something lighter and more playful. It was creative without feeling gimmicky. My wife ordered three macarons from local pastry maker Macaroner, S'mores, Passion Fruit, and Lime Coconut. Each shell was delicately crisp before giving way to a soft, airy center, exactly as a proper macaron should. Stage Kitchen & Bar takes familiar dishes and quietly elevates them through technique, quality ingredients, and restraint. Nothing feels overcomplicated or designed simply to impress. Every plate feels carefully considered. Sometimes trusting Google is a gamble. This time, it paid off. Great restaurants don't always announce themselves. Sometimes they're simply waiting for hungry travelers willing to take the next exit.

Now I've been in and around the PBG area for a long time. I've gone to Angry Moon Café and never, not once, did I notice the cigar lounge located pretty much right behind the café. Go figure. This is an old-school place. Lots of dark: dark wood and dark leather and a dimly lit back bar with just about anything you can thing of up there- exactly what I expect at a cigar lounge. Since this was a snap decision for us, we had to hit the humidor to grab some sticks - humidor was very comprehensive with just about anything you culd wat, and all price points. We found some that worked for us and got them snipped and lit in short order. There are clippers and lighters available at the tiny bar - this is a service bar - not a sitting bar BTW. Young lady working there was very sociable and witty. We grabbed two after-dinner type drinks and found some cozy seats outside. The wonderful thing about this place is that there are a lot of options for seating. Inside / outside / semi-outside - you should be able to fins something that works for you. We chose the semi-outside option where we could look at the boats in the marina. The cigars and cocktails went down smoothly, and a good time was had by all. Prices are what you might expect for PBG / Jupiter. There is a piano and live piano music - just for reference the crowd is definitely on the older side- so not the best place to let it all hang out is my guess. Restrooms are spotless and the place is clean. This one is definitely going on the regular rotation of places to hit when in the area. Parking in front.

We came here on Motown night, so the music is very loud and the dance floor was popping. So, it was great in that aspect. We decided to go with the $40 3-course meal. My friend got a hibiscus margarita, which she said tasted like straight tequila with water. We both got the dynamite shrimp ($20 on regular menu), and it only came with 4 shrimp. $5 per shrimp for it just to be okay seems pretty steep. You could get better at Bonefish or Cheesecake Factory. Additionally my friend makes lifestyle content, so she was recording. A guy (looked like a cook possibly or another waiter) stopped by our table and said "I hope you're not giving us bad press." Which I would've taken as a joke, but immediately afterwards he went to our waiter whispered something, who then looked at our table. Then the waiter immediately whispered to, presumably the manager, who then looked at our table, which kind of made us feel weird about the interaction. Next was the main course, my salmon tasted so fishy and not fresh. Even if it was good, the sliver of salmon given was not worth its price point on the menu ($32). The Brussel sprouts tasted like the bottom of a burnt pain. It was not edible, and I nearly spit out my food. The waiter did not come to check on us or ask us how the food was. Just to put into perspective how bad the food is, this is first time I've ever sent food back. When we finally got another waiter to track down ours, my waiter just said "okay" and walked away when I told him about the food. He was walking around for about for about 5 minutes before coming back and asking if I wanted something else. I went with a Caesar salad, which is priced about $18 compared to the $32 salmon. I got no discount on my meal despite downgrading the entree and not having the best service. Our waiter talked to the manager, but the manager never came to our table. The last course was cheesecake, which was just alright. I ate half of it and left hungry. I made a stop by Wendy's on my way home. I have never had food this bad, and the fact that no one was apologetic about the experience was just the cherry on top. Do yourself a favor and do not waste your money here.
