I explained that I wanted the nova sandwich style but without the tomato, onion, or capers because I still wanted it closed-face with extra lox instead of the open-face version. He told me, "that's just a weird way to order it," which honestly felt unnecessary. The bagel itself was huge and heavy with a thick shmear of cream cheese. The lox tasted good, although I wish it was layered in slices instead of smaller pieces. Still, it came pretty close to that NY bagel taste I was hoping for. The jalapeño cheddar bagel was actually spicy and packed with jalapeños. We had to take some out, but the sandwich overall was really good.
