Me and my boyfriend went to the bean tree for the first time this year and ate. We were absolutely amazed by their breakfast it was amazing! This is the second year we have gone and absolutely love it! The server we had is an amazing server I believe she said her name was Val! Val your doing a great job! Ordered the three cheese panini with bacon and got a hoagie roll cut in half, not toasted, with a bit of melted cheese and ONE piece of bacon. I wish I had taken a picture but I was just too irritated. A panini is pressed and toasted on both sides. If I hadn't pulled the bread apart I wouldn't have known otherwise what was inside, that's how thin it was. The 12 fries in my order were average. My son asked for chips which ended up being just Ruffles dumped out of the bag, not the house made chips I see in other reviews. Our beers were served in a can, not very cold, which was just funny and of course they were. The outdoor seating on the river was great and we would have enjoyed it more if multiple people were not allowed to smoke cigarettes at their tables. Walked in at 2:50 on 4th of July weekend on Saturday. Seating looked empty inside, however the outside seating must have been filled to the rafters. The ac was tepid at best. We got our drinks fairly quickly, however after 35 minutes we had to ask "where the food at"?. Starving and relying on years of built up fat stores to carry us thu, we waited with baited breath. Almost an hour later food came out and was not worth it. Ran across busy street and grabbed some gas station fried chicken which was phenomenal. Super tasty. read more

Not sure how my burger master husband has not thought up incorporating from-scratch pimento cheese on a burger, but now we know, it's awesome. Hand formed, good ground beef patties. This place is magical! After a long day of adventuring outdoors, stumbling into The Beantrees Cafe was perfect. We were greeted right away and shown to the outdoor patio. It was busy, but there was plenty of seating. We choose a bar style spot along the river. The views seriously can't be beat. It was like a little oasis. Our server was very helpful with their beer menu. I was pleasantly surprised at the selection of craft beer. at the suggestion of our server, I ordered the burger special. It was a magical combination of pimento cheese and jalapenos. The burger was seasoned perfectly and the bun was soft and sweet. It was one of the best burgers that I've had in a long time. A neighboring table ordered the nachos and they looked insanely good. The menu also consists of several vegetarian options. If you have the chance, I highly recommend stopping into this little shop. Great little find! I had started early from near Knoxville searching for photos. After nosing around a few places and the light turning lousy, I decided to head home along I-40. This is a local gem that I never knew about until recently. I went on a coffee date with my sister and we both had a great time! The cafe is on the river and has outdoor seating with great views and vibes! I got an iced americano and my sister got a lavender vanilla latte. Both were great! We also shared appetizers of the pickle chips and hummus. The hummus was okay but we both loved the fried pickles the most! This is definitely a place we will go back to! read more

Found this little spot on the way to Sevierville, Tennessee. My husband and I enjoyed a great lunch with a wonderful view. It was so peaceful sitting by the river listening to the water running and watching fish swim by. The waitress was really sweet and gave us a free piece of cheesecake since we are newlyweds on our honeymoon. She told us the cheesecakes were homemade. We had the Oreo cheesecake by her recommendation and it was amazing! Overall, it was really great and I'm sure we'll stop by again our next time through! read more

Love this happy hippy mountain find! Most of the restaurant is a beautiful outside deck with games music and overlooking the Pigeon River. The food selection looked great and homemade with mostly burgers wraps paninis and appetizers. Chili seems to be popular. They have yummy coffee treats and milkshakes. One of only 2 places to eat in town. Nice staff, nice location, but is well known for pathetic food service from the kitchen. How so? Over 35 minutes for a pimento wrap. Seriously? A wrap? If you have time to kill, then yes, this is a great location right about the river. They were fast with the drink orders all around, but food... notsomuch. In fairness, there is a sign asking that you notify them if you have a rafting or Zipline reservation soon. Maybe we should have lied, but that's just not cool. read more

My friends and I tried this little gem after we went white water rafting next door. Our raft guide recommended it to us. The food was literally SO GOOD! They have lots of vegetarian/vegan options which is what most of our friend group looks for in a yummy food spot! We tried the veggie burger, the regular burger, the hummus, and the nachos. The nachos were my favorite. They come loaded with delicious, fresh toppings including fresh jalapeño, onion, lettuce, salsa, and vegetarian chili. We were recommended to eat here by our rafting guide. The restaurant is located on part of the river - so it has a nice view. I would say about 70% of their tables were occupied. It took us an hour and a half to get our food-- which was because of the outdoor seating and thunderstorm combined. Some of which was slightly overpriced and somewhat overwhelming. Waitress went missing for long periods, food was just "ok". Pricing is slightly elevated. No way this place would survive if there were more choices than it and the gas station across the street. It just took quite some time to get to our table, and I don't know if they were just waiting for our whole order to be made up but by the time our food got to our table, it was lukewarm. Not completely complaining, because we had to be out by 230 so it made for fast eating. While we waited, we had been sitting outside and we watched rafters go by.
