We called to place a togo order, which they said they didn't do togo orders after 5pm. That was totally fine, but then the lady on the phone was incredibly rude when I tried to ask if we could bring our dog to come and eat, and then told us we can place a togo order but we'd have to place it at the restaurant and then wait for our food. She said it would take 30 minutes for the food to be ready. I then asked to clarify that we can drive there, order food, wait 30 minutes, then pick it up, but we couldn't order it over the phone, to which she replied "yep" and when asked why that was the case, she replied "policy." I am incredibly disappointed by the costumer service, and how rude the person on the phone was. I'm so glad a friend of mine introduced me to The Woodshed. I've lived here over three years and did not know this place existed until about six months ago. You can't see the restaurant from the road, it's up a semi steep gravel driveway so it's easy to pass on by it and not know it is there. It's definitely a hidden gem away from all the tourists and hustle bustle the area is known for. They are only open a few days a week and the days they are open they are pretty busy most of the time but it's well worth the wait. There is not one thing from here that I've tried that I haven't liked. If you come here, you definitely have to try the woodshed burger at least once. It's a massive 1/2 pound burger topped with bacon, cheese, BBQ pork, and crispy onion straws with all the fixin's! You better have your appetite ready because this burger does not play around haha and it also comes with a side of your choice. I've also have gotten their loaded baked potato skins, chicken club sandwich, which has to be my favorite from any place I've ever gotten one from and also their NY strip which is seasoned to perfection, comes with two sides and a homemade fluffy sweet roll. I introduced this place to my parents, and they absolutely love it and now come every Thursday for prime rib night. They have a good amount of seating areas and also waiting areas inside and out. Amazing barbecue. The locals however said it was very expensive, but being from the Pacific Northwest I found it to be reasonably priced.

This is a hidden gem and we were delighted by this meal! I had the best hamburger I've had in years - thick, high quality meat cooked to perfection. My side was baked beans and they were delicious. My husband had the pulled pork sandwich and he loved the woodsmoke flavor of the pork! His side as Mac and cheese with bacon - so tasty! For dessert, the sticky toffee cake was so moist and perfectly rich. The decor is rustic cozy and the service was friendly and efficient. And the price is so economical. Tucked into the woods in what seems to be the middle of nowhere is a spot that will take you by surprise. (Slim was a bit of a hoarder) Even though the aesthetic is rustic, it does have a modern flare. I was a bit surprised by the number of people in the establishment because, as I mentioned, we were in the woods. Our wait wasn't long, & our server was excellent with her recommendations. My husband ordered the sirloin, which he said was grilled to perfection. One of my daughters got the chicken tenders & bacon mac & cheese, which she loved. Our other daughter who is a bit more "extra" got the shrimp cocktail & the loaded fries. We are from the gulf coast, so I did not expect to be impressed with the shrimp from some barn in the woods, but I. WAS. WRONG. These shrimp were BIG & the loaded fries were enough to make your eyes roll back into your skull. I had the pulled pork sandwich, which is strange because I do not like most BBQ. I'm sure for most BBQ lovers, their BBQ is exquisite just like everything else on the menu but, I was just reminded that I don't like sweet BBQ. The only downside to this establishment for my family was there was no alcohol served. My husband is a Bud Light man & there was no beer to be found.
