Found out about this place two weeks ago while walking around the mall with my family. It's a little hidden and located on the side of the mall that isn't crowded, a plus! Had no thoughts about getting my nails done today but since I had time, I figured why not. Walked in and they took me in for a gel pedi right away. Although booking an appointment would be best, I got lucky! My nail tech was so sweet and kind. Real gentle with her hands. Very satisfied with my pedicure. Full disclosure: I am posting this 3wks after my visit, but began typing parts of the following while still at the salon being worked on. I am adding onto it before posting. I did mention that I was dissatisfied before I paid and was offered a smol credit towards my next visit. I feel terrible writing such an awful review of the place because they are very highly rated (which is why I paid a visit) but I have to speak my truth. And the aim of this is to bring an awareness. I've been going back and forth about leaving a review this whole time. I'm disappointed. I expected more. I'd like to return because I AM impressed by their lineup of services offered/the cleanliness and everyone is friendly. With that being said, why wouldn't they have an exclusive lineup of highly & dynamically trained/skilled nail technicians performing services that will uphold the caliber of business The Beauty Plug aims for, on hand, for walk-ins and appointments alike... especially on weekends. thank u, love u. I received a Gel X Full Set w gel polish + "a design" - which was airbrush ombré with an outlined tip & a Gel Pedicure. - Gel X application glue was left with a lot of space where my natural nail was exposed under the gel x nail. If you know gel x you know what I mean. - Blotchy clear coat; not one nail has a smooth clear application. - Crooked nail application on my thumb. - No blending of the nail extension edges to my natural nail. - No consistency in size and placement of the extension. (Some are further over with my real nail exposed.) - After one week most started lifting from my nail bed. - Another tech had to pull away from her client to do a part of the service mine wasn't educated on. *COMING BACK TO MY DRAFT TO SAY THAT A FRIEND TOLD ME IT LOOKED LIKE I HAD PRESS ONS* I wish I took pictures. But I had to get them thangs off. Those pedicure stations are very aesthetic but not made for luxurious comfort. I asked for her to trim my toe nails during my pedicure and she butchered them so short when she got to filing it started to be painful. Ending to say that I don't think this place is worth avoiding altogether, but I wasn't impressed enough to make it somewhere I frequent for nails because of my experience. Well wanted to try something offered and the one in charge of my partner's nails didn't want to do the service. Rushed the whole royal treatment. I got paired with a newbie that messed up steps and didn't know what they were doing. Quality was not that of a royal treatment. Offering an alcoholic beverage will not offset the experience of this trip. Definitely not recommending based off the first impression. The vibe is ok but too focused on the glam that the service is lacking. Best part of a pedi is the massaging chair not esthetically looking bench with "golden" accents for the pedi. There's a lot that went wrong in the visit. Betting the 20% off advertised on yelp won't even apply. Just finished paraffin and that was extremely rushed. Wax wasn't even fully done molding nor did they do a good job of putting the bag on my feet. 100% don't recommend a pedi from these 2 techs. I can add a pic of them but I don't want to get in trouble and I respect people's privacy. Also if looking for location it's in Plaza Bonita Mall under champs. Shanelle's customer service and execution was amazing! I hired the team to do my bridal party's nails for my wedding this past week and it was such a great experience. Everyone was assigned an appropriate tech who knows what they were expected to do in terms of nails. We were greeted with champagne and charcuterie. The place was decorated with cute little balloons and engagement/ wedding decor and of course they went the extra mile to give me my own "wifey" cup to drink from. My tech Christina took my inspo pictures and brought it to life. I always pic complex designs and she kicked it! I got the inkless stretch mark removal service and I couldn't be happier with my results! I have had deep wide white stretch marks for decades and didn't think anything could actually remove them until now. Just after one treatment my results were insane.
