Second time we have been to the restaurant. I ordered the filet of Minion Mignon medium and it was very tender and full of flavor. I ordered some coconut shrimp but it tasted bad and not fresh . My wife had barbecued chicken and her onion rings were not too great either . We both orders a wedge salads which were odd looking with two small wedges crammed into a bowl but it was real blue cheese so okay . The service was fine and I can see why the over all rating is 3.5 . They need to work on some things oh and the fries are great too so I give them 3 stars . read more

We've been dining in at the Beehive since moving to the Logan area. We were told to make a reservation as it gets very busy. In all the numerous times we've shown up there has only been once that we left due to it being packed. We've yet to make a reservation. If you show up before the dinner rush and after the lunch rush you should be fine. The food is excellent as is the service. The prices are within normal range of similar establishments. We've never had a bad experience yet! Definitely my favorite spot to eat in Logan, UT. read more

Sat at the bar and got served by the really friendly and very cute -- and very married -- bar keep. Tried the following Moab brews: Moab Especial, Over the Top Hefeweizen, Red Rye IPA, Deadhorse Ale, Nut Brown Ale, and Coffee Porter. The Red Rye and Deadhorse I think we're my favorite. After that it just started tasting like plain ole beer. $1.50 per 12oz glass is a steal where I'm from. I chased it down with a Beehive BBQ Burger which i thought was meh at best. I guess I've been a little spoiled when it comes to burgers. The burger looked like the kind you get from the frozen foods section at the grocery store, so it's kind of hard to get excited about it. Two reasons why I am so generous with my stars: One: The veggie burrito was the best Ive ever had. It actually had veggies in it instead of what most places fill them up with (rice, beans, and a ton of fillers)...No sir! Theirs had squash and zucchini and a bunch of other stuff which made it amazing! Two: Super waiter Nick! I came in with a big group, and we had all kinds of crazy requests. Nick had a great attitude, was very polite, and did everything possible to make sure everyone was completely satisfied. I have horrible luck in restaurants, and my order almost always comes to me wrong. So I was given a veggie burger instead of a veggie burrito, and without hesitation, Nick brought out the burrito instead very quickly while my group heckled me about how this sort of thing happens to me every time. Our entire group was very satisfied, and very happy to have stumbled upon this restaurant with such great selection and service. i ordered the steak oscar with Hollandaise sauce, asparagus & lump crab, soup or salad and one side (i chose onion rings - they were delicious). at most there might have been one asparagus stalk cut into small pieces & certainly less than half a teaspoon of lump crab. i asked about this and was told "It's in the Hollandaise sauce." i asked for a medium steak; blood ran out of it. the steak had several pieces of gristle in it. they added mixed vegetables which we not listed on the menu nor did i request them. the salad was ok, though several lettuce leaves were tinged with black. there was a survey code but no access to use it. read more

I dined at the Beehive while visiting Logan. The atmosphere is typical of a gastropub. Very clean and welcoming. The menu has numerous options with a perfectly complimenting craft cocktail list. Service was a bit slow out the gate, but they were short staffed so it's forgiven. Once dunch got on the way everything was enjoyable. Appetizer of Bang Bang Shrimp was great. I used to love Beehive Grill but today was a disappointment. We were seated and got our beverages quickly and at that point, our server was nice. 4 salads took a long time to come out of the kitchen but we finally got them. 3 out of the four salads had very wilted greens to the point of some pieces of black slimy lettuce. My salad was ok, not great with not too much of the really bad greens. Then a companion found a fly in her salad and he wouldn't move. At that point, no one had an appetite. We talked with our server and she deducted half off the 2 worst salads. Not even close to 50% was eaten though. We were not satisfied with that and asked to speak with the manager and the server gave us a snide remark. We waited but the manager never came. A companion asked again at the hostess station and the manager did come out and apologized. I can't imagine coming back. Too bad, because I've always liked this place and recommended it highly. I was looking forward to eating here because I ate here years ago and remembered it was good. But today it wasn't. I ordered the loaded nachos. The description on the menu sounded really good. It said they would be covered with vegetarian chili but I could only find a few beans here and there. The cheese was very bland. It seemed like the chips were flour tortillas--you can't make good nachos with flour tortillas. The salsa tasted like vinegar and was not even edible--and I love salsa. The only thing that was really tasty was the accompanying little dish of cheese sauce. I took pretty much the whole order home and doctored it up with my own spices and salsa and then it was good. REALLY enjoyed our Saturday 12:30P lunch. Gammon was extremely attentive but not hovering. Walked us through the specials, especially the spicy ones because our accents said "Southerners" which interprets in most people's minds as "likes spicy food." :) Beer cheese soup was as good as a memory I have from Baby Doe's Matchless Mine in Birmingham, AL. Reuben was very tasty, onion rings pretty and good, and husband's Greek pasta with chicken was a large portion with nice flavor. Food arrived in good time. House brewed root beer was good - thank you for not putting Ice in it - and my "Naughty Root Beer" with Smirnoff Vanilla was good, though I truly couldn't taste the vodka, even with the extra shot I ordered. They need to update their menu. I ordered their prime rib, as well as three other people in my group. It was very chewy and had a lot of gristle, and was not tender. The menu said they give rolls. I asked for one. They said they no longer did that, but could give me bread. I asked if it cost more. They said yes. I said forget it. I went here recently and I was so happy to see that their quality and other standards have held strong since I've last eaten here. I ordered their signature original cheeseburger that completely exceeded my expectations. Their presentation of it is what first surprised me, and let me tell you, they do not skimp you on the amount of meat on the burger! The fresh glisting buns entrapping a thick patty lightly cloaked with bright yellow cheese topped with medium green lettuce and deep red tomatoes. The taste was immaculate! The perfect balance of meat and vegetables made my mouth water for more. It also came with a side of fries which were perfectly cooked. A glowing golden color that got deeper around the edges. They were nice and crispy. Our waitress was soooo nice. She always was ready to help us with anything we needed, refills, more food, ect. She really made us feel welcome there. We have been to this place in Logan several times; This last time we went on 4/22 most of our friends food was horrible. The chicken Thai Noodle looked like the noodles were over cooked (eaten and spit out several times), the individual that ordered it got sick; The chicken wrap that another individual in our party ordered got sick; The hamburger another individual in our party was undercooked; Two other individuals had the Philly Steak and Cheese type of sandwich the meat was not thin sliced, did not taste very good overall appearance was not appealing. The food is SO good & the prices are great! We got an incredible dinner salad-like the nice greens & such for only $2.49! The skillet cake with gelato only $4.79! So you can support a local place with better prices than the chains & better food! The kids' penne pasta is worth noting, it's Italian restaurant worthy on a kid menu! This place used to be my favorite. But then, they switched owners. I am honestly upset, I loved the home-made root beer and I work at a Taco Bell and the root beer tastes no different than the soda I get for free at work. I love how they have vegetarian options! The girl who served me I believe was new. She was nice, she looked terrified. I hope you guys are treating your workers mentally O.K. She didn't look happy but other than that, the service was OK. Tried it for the first time yesterday and everything that we ate was great. The clam chowder was so good. We also had the prawn fried shrimp with homemade batter, it's super crunchy and the best fried shrimp I've had. My husband had the shrimp lobster ravioli, they were amazing and my son had a hamburger that was good and loved the fries. The chocolate caramel pecan cake dessert and vanilla gelato were amazing! Both were made in house too. We loved it. The gelato actually tasted like the kind we had when we lived in Italy. We will definitely go back. Last evening (May 14) our extended family had a 5:15pm dinner reservation. The good news first. We were seated at 5:15 and our server was a vary friendly, and attentive, young lady. Other that that we did not have a pleasant experience. First, my wife's Asian Stir Fry vegetables were actually more soup that salad. Her sister had the patty melt, which which she called tolerable, and my juicy hamburger was actually very good, but my add on bacon? only one small strip. As I mentioned, we were seated on time at 5:15 and the server took our drink / appetizer orders in very short order. It was almost 5;45 before she returned to take our dinner order, which was not delivered until just after 6:15. That as an hour after our arrival, there we numerous parties around us who arrived after we had, and had completed their meals and left before our dinner even arrived. All in all, we have seldom had a good experience, in the last five years, and it is doubtful we will give the Beehive grill another chance, which is unfortunate, as we have enjoyed the food and experience in the past. read more
