I like the bar and the bartenders here. Amber is a sweetheart and really makes sure you're taken care of. My problem here is the food. Why is it every few months they have a new food program and you have to pay it separate from your bar tab? A friend and I went here and ordered food and it was overcooked. The cook gave no napkins, no condiments, and was annoyed when we had to ask him for them. read more

Good place... the staff is super friendly and welcoming. People that hang out there are nice and friendly. On Monday's they have line dancing and teaching with an amazing country DJ and the line instructor is awesome. I would recommend this little gem anytime. read more

This bar could be such a cool hangout & money maker if Amber & Tyler were the regular bar tenders and if the owners weren't bias to who they allow in their establishment... one person with that color shirt is okay but he has the same color shirt on and we don't like him so we won't serve him. Ridiculous. Also If I didn't catch Kimmy numerous times trying to take advantage of customers by up charging them for drinks they didn't purchase when she thinks they're to drunk to notice.. Not to mention how long it takes for you to even get her attention to get a drink because she's always so screwed off. Stopped in here a while back and the crowd was kind of rough. Lots of youngsters and lots of fights. I heard it was under new owners or managers. So I thought I'd give it another shot. They have definitely cleaned the place up! The crowd is more mature now. I'm no old man bit I'd rather drink with an older peaceful fun crowd then a bunch of knuckleheads. The place is clean, smells fresh, and the staff was very nice. The bartender when I dropped ins name was Kim. She was very nice and funny as all hell. The whole time I was here she was either serving or cleaning. Completely on it. It's nice to see hard working bartenders. Most bars out here have drunk, stumbling, lazy bartenders. Lol I heard they have live music on Wednesdays. I'll definitely be back next week to check it out. Found myself a new watering hole. read more

This bar is great! They have shuffleboard, pool, live bands, the drinks are cheap, and the food is better than the average bar without a full kitchen. All the bartenders are super cool!!! This is a must do Yelpers! If you are driving by on Highway 138 near Phelan, you should stop in and check out this gem. It's clean and fun! I walked in, was greeted and treated like fam the whole time I was there. Oh I almost forgot! The bar has an outside area for smoking, chilling, or just listening to some cool music and staring at the awesome sunsets. Really this is a spectacular place!!! Monday? Big Rock Inn is on Highway 138, about halfway between Edwards Air Force Base and San Bernardino. I've driven by this place countless times, but never stopped in ..... until last night. It's a classic roadhouse. Most of the customers were pretty rough around the edges, but relatively friendly. The bartenders were fantastic! I will definitely stop by again for a few cold beers! This place is awesome! My husband and I decided to go for date night after hearing about it a few times from a friend. We loved it! They have several pool tables and other games. The owners were there and their service was amazing. They mingled with almost every guest and made sure each person was well taken care of. They had a live country band playing the whole night! It was such a great atmosphere. We will definitely be going there again. Bartenders Randy and Jennifer made some excellent drinks for us. This is for sure one of our favorite places up here in the desert. We can't wait to go again! read more

I was so excited to try this place after seeing many advertisements on FB and pics of their drinks and specials. Drove from Apple Valley specifically to try this place. Not what I expected at all! The food was amazing. The only reason for the 3 star rating was bc of the rudeness of the bartender. She would rarely check on us. I had to keep going to request more drinks, food etc which by the way is literally her job. I understand that she was working alone but she was already overwhelmed just by 3 pm when they had just opened. There wasn't a lot of people there maybe a handful. What was more frustrating was the fact that during our visit she mainly helped one patron who I guess was a former employee. Not the best time to catch up when your running an Octoberfest special. Very disappointed in the service, no mention of all the cool drinks they continually show on FB. She didn't even offer us a menu but did to everyone else read more

I had been aware of this particular bar for quite sometime but I never had gone there before. That is, until this past July. Two friends of mine who are also brothers had played a show with their band(Desolate The Few) one Saturday night(July 12) during that particular month, so I decided to go see them perform. The bar was small but nice and the staff seemed friendly too. But the best part of the Big Rock are the bartenders who are very attractive(the female bartenders that is). One of the bartenders was a girl I went to high school(Serrano H.S. which is nearby) with around 1996-1998 and I also have her as a friend on Facebook too. But one of the bartenders that has caught my eye is a girl named Fawna who's also of Italian descent(I have a "thing" for Italian women). Not only attractive but very friendly and calls all of the guys including myself, "baby." Hell, I took a short trip to the bar last night just to see her too and it was also surprising and nice that she even remembered me after that first visit a month and a half ago. Overall, small but nice bar and I'll probably make more trips to the Big Rock for a show and to see Fawna in the future too. read more

I love this place. Moved here over a year ago, but just discovered this gem. Always friendly, awesome prices.The owner and bartenders are very nice. My wife is one of those girls who can never decide what to get, so the bar tender made her a drink and she loved it. Good vibes and everyone gets along here. I would recommend this for anyone wanting to have a great night out at a friendly drama free bar. Huge outdoor area, pool tables, beer pong, online jukebox, they even have a guy with a taco cart come out and make some awesome tacos. I have no negative things to say about this place. The first 2 times I went with my boyfriend for date night was AMAZING we even took a group a friends one night they had karaoke and it was great ! the staff is super nice and the atmosphere is great. The prices on beer and shots are really cheap, they have a patio and a few pool tables and other games. However after my 3rd time going it wasn't so pleasant. There was this bar tender who wasn't on her game, she wasn't very welcoming or up beat, she only served her friends before anyone else, she would stop serving drinks to go and dance with her friends. It looked like a tight knit community there that night where everyone knew everyone. She also opened the pool table for her friends so they wouldn't have to keep paying after every game and opened it for a cute older couple that walked into the bar a few moments after us. later on her friends offered my boyfriend the open pool table so we wouldn't have to pay either. As we were playing my boyfriend stepped away to use the restroom and the bar tender looked over and came and closed the pool table but left the cute older couples pool table open. My boyfriend came out and was very upset, we finished our last beer left. We felt very discriminated against and it just didn't seem fair. There was a lot of favoritism going on there that night and we didn't feel very welcomed or wanted, I am very hesitant to go back. I am also Really upset that I experienced this because I really liked this bar. :( read more
