I'm pretty disappointed with the service I received. I brought my bike in because the pedal crank kept falling off. One of the service workers recommended the mini tune-up, saying it would cover the fix. When I picked it up, I was told the bike needed a new crankshaft because mine was bent. Fine -- I paid for it, assuming that would resolve the issue. Unfortunately, shortly after, the exact same problem happened again. I wasn't able to return the bike until this month (the original repair was done in August). When I brought it back, I was charged an additional $20 for parts, again thinking it would finally be fixed. But the crankshaft came off again mid-ride while picking up my kids. I took it back immediately, and the service employee told me the crankshaft was broken. I explained that I had just purchased it from them. He seemed frustrated, went to the back, and said that if this repair didn't work, I would need a new bike. At this point, I've spent about $120 on a repair that never actually fixed the issue. It's really unfortunate because I like the shop and thought it was a cool place, but this experience was frustrating and disappointing. read more

All I needed was a nut for the front tire of a kids bicycle. Just wanted to say the young lady at the counter was friendly and helpful. A while back I used the shop at the south end of Front Street for installing training wheels on another kids bike. I feel they grossly over charged for what they did. I had been to every bike shop in Temecula, looking for a new bike after mine gave up on me. Wrench and roll basically laughed me at the door, cause I wasn't anywhere near their price range. Jax's customer service was here miss i either got really nice or really pissed off. And they didn't have any bikes in my size to try and said they couldn't give me a bike until July or August to even try. From the first call, the bike shop treating me with dignity, respect and just overall superb service. Kyle and Brian were all stars. They not only had one bite for me to try. They pulled out a second. It was an older model was on sale in my price range and had literally everything I had inquired about over the phone. When I bought the bike, they replaced my saddle with my preferred one and then when I came in two days later, having tried to adjust part of the bike myself and not done a superb job they fixed it within 10 minutes for free. My first visit to the store I brought my bike smart trainer in because the chain broke. I was pushing out some serious wattage. :) I let them know about the chain and I also wanted them to try and get all the gearing tuned in. All the other stores failed. They fixed the chain and also fixed the gear so I can go through every gear seamlessly. I couldn't believe it since all the other stores gave me a story why some gears wouldn't work. This week I brought my son's bike in because the brakes and gears were skipping. I'm sure he was putting on the wattage (like father like son). They fixed things perfectly. This is great bike shop. Fully staffed front show room as well as the back room for repairs. Located on a small strip of businesses off Temecula Pky. Not much parking but you'll find a spot. Been in several times over the years. Whenever I blow a tube o bring my bike in and they change it on the spot. No leaving or picking up next day. Most small repairs are treated the same way. My 6 year old son crashed his bike into his sisters and busted his tire. Honestly, I went to The Bicycle Warehouse originally because that was the first place I knew of. There was a line to get in and no way in hell was I going to wait in that line with 6 ruthless kids in my car. Because of the line to get in I googled other bike shops in town. The Bike Shop came up, I called them, talked to John. John has great phone demeanor. He was friendly, easy to talk to. Made it simple. Told him my problem and he told me he would put me in que for repair and it would be done the same day. Walked in to the store with no problems and was greeted automatically. Asked if I was Erica and sure enough...smooth sailing from there. We got the bike back a few hours later. Not only did they fix the tubes and replace the tires, they fixed something else my son covered up in electrical tape. I didn't ask for this but they knew it was janky and just fixed it for us. I don't even write reviews, but I would definitely give this store 0 stars. My girlfriend and I had both got our bikes "fixed"at this store, at different times/months.When we both got our bikes back from the bike shop,the wheels that were perfectly fine and didn't need fixing,needed fixing when we got it back from the bike store. Both of our inner tubes to our bikes were messed up .My girlfriend went to this Place two times and her inner tube was still messed up or more messed up when she got it back after it being "fixed".Then when I brought my bike in for the first time, I rode it to work the next day and as I was riding it to work the wheel and inner tube that got "fixed",was completely coming off and I couldn't ride it back home. I thought it was a coincidence that at different times we've brought our bikes there, the tires that didn't need fixing were messed up and our wheels that needed fixing was much worse after coming in the shop. I don't know if theyre tampering with the perfectly fine bike wheels to get more money or they just suck at their jobs but damn. read more

They took my bike in and in ten minutes had it working true--no charge. My previous go to shop was JAX in Murrieta--half the distance. Called and they want to inspect bike first for two days to see what's needed. Then you pickup bike and bring it back in two or more weeks for needed repair. My Mother bought me a used Schwinn bike when I moved to downtown San Diego. She took it to The Bike Shop to be serviced, prior to giving it to me. The first time I took it for a spin, I immediately noticed something was wrong. I felt so much resistance in the wheels. I think I rode it two blocks before turning it around in defeat. It was exhausting riding this bike, I felt like I was in a cycling class. I informed my Mom of the issues I was having; she called The Bike Shop to relay my difficulties. It was suggested that I make sure the brake was disengaged. There was no offer to re-inspect the bicycle. Of course I disengaged the brake. I finally broke down and took it to another bicycle repair shop in San Diego. Come to find out, the FRONT WHEEL WAS PUT ON THE BICYCLE BACKWARDS. How unacceptable. The bike rides great now. It wasn't operator error, it was The Bike Shop's error. Get it together! read more

I am so stoked! I'm picking up a new beach cruiser for myself. So I could ride with the family in the evenings while on Quarantine. These guys are so helpful and patient even for a beginner cruiser. Good guys. I had a stripped nut firmly embedded on a threaded end of a screw that holds my foot pedals. I couldn't get it to budge. The Bike Shop tried to get the nut off, but they couldn't either. Great customer service!! My dad and I were both in the market for new mountain bikes and were shopping around. We both ended up buying here, mainly because of the great customer service. I also like the fact that they let you test ride the bikes before purchasing. I feel like that should be a given before buying a bike with a price tag of over a grand. I only say this because two other bike shops we visited didn't allow a test ride. Not sure about you but I wouldn't buy a car without test driving it, why should a bike be any different?
