Great atmosphere, excellent service. The food like the pierogies was good, the stuffed peppers appetizer was a little spicy. I ordered my steak medium, but it came out medium well too well done but it didn't want to send it back because I was with friends for a special occasion. Probably won't order the New York strip again if I go back as I've had better at regular steakhouses. Broccolini that came with a steak was stringy unfortunately. read more

This is a great place and food so good . Been here several times . We come up to Gervasi for the week end once in awhile . Have stayed in the villas acouple of times . So nice but expensive. If you like wineries you have to come here. It's the most upscale winery I have ever been to and has so much to offer . You have to check out the wine cave for tasting. Such a neat place . Always make reservations for the Bistro . It's a beautiful restaurant with rustic charm . One of my favorite places but acouple hour drive for me . We have been coming to Gervasi for almost as long as they've been open and it's always been fantastic. I have a little more experience with the Crush House and the Piazza, not so much with the Bistro. Last night was only the second time I've eaten there, but it was great as always. Everything on the entire grounds is laid-out and decorated so well and the Bistro is no different. The service is always excellent as well. We ate up in the balcony, the eight of us. I just had a coke and a Bianco flatbread, was more just about enjoying the ambiance and companionship this night. Will be back for sure for the Piazza is soon to open up and it's always great out there. Check this place out. read more

My hubby, son, and I had a 3:45pm reservation to celebrate our son's 19th birthday and Father's Day for my husband. We arrived at 3:40. The hosts were very welcoming. I must inform that we have been to Gervasi's several times. We live just over an hour away and often spend the night in a close hotel to enjoy our staycation on the beautiful property. We have never had quite the experience we had today. We were seated on the top floor. Tony was our waiter. He was not kind, we had to ask for more of everything (except water). He never asked if we wanted a glass of wine, more bread, etc. We felt rushed and disregarded. My husband has generally ordered the same meal and he did today. We are gluten free and my hubby is also dairy free. When my husband ordered his chicken piccata he adds extra veggies as he normally does. My husband was in the middle of ordering and Tony interrupted him and informed him that there would be an up charge. If we paid an up charge previously we are unaware but he was very brass and interrupted him in the middle of him telling him his order. The meal came and had a beautiful presentation. Once my hubby began to eat the veggies were hard, almost raw. My hubby brought it up to Tony and he almost made my husband feel like it was his imagination although I tried them and they were raw, almost tossed in as an afterthought. The gracious chef brought my hubby's remade meal out and agreed and apologized about the raw vegetables but it was NOT the chef we are complaining about at all. It was Tony. We ordered a flight and once finished we had to flag him down for a glass of wine to eat with our meal. He brought one slice of bread for my teenage son. My son is 6'3" and over 200 lbs. He visibly looks like an athlete and of course wanted more bread. We had to flag him down to request more bread. Each time he came to the table as of we were a nuisance. This is definitely not the experience we are used to at Gervasi's. The young man whom brought our food out was such a delight as well as the chef whom remade my husband's meal, which was delicious by the way. They embodied the service we normally encounter at Gervasi's. Thank goodness it wasn't our first time here or we would never come back. Tony was not good, not welcoming, we felt rushed, and we had to ask for everything that we needed. Not a great Gervasi's day and definitely not worth the over two hour trip that we made to dine there. We will be back because we know Gervasi's but if Tony is our waiter we will request another. read more

Visited The Bistro at Gervasi Vineyards with my wife for our 20th wedding anniversary. We made a reservation and were promtly seated in the basement in a room full of wine racks and wine. The ambience was terrific. Our server was friendly and attentive. As an appetizer, we requested bruschetta and my wife requested a caeser salad. Warm bread was also served with olive oil and black pepper. The bread was absolutely delicious, even if it didn't have a crunchy crust. I'd eat this stuff any day of the week. My wife's salad was served with poor presentation and it was lacking the proper caesar ingredients and didn't have much flavor. The bruschetta was tart and sweet. It was very different from the bruschetta served at Buca Di Beppo, but it was tasty and we polished it off, nonetheless. For dinner, I requested Housemade Mushroom Ravioli and I added a grilled chicken breast, per the server's recommendation. My wife requested Tuscan Beef Short Ribs. A good while later, our dinners were served. My ravioli had an amazing sauce that made it an excellent choice. I could taste that the pasta was scratch made fresh. However, it was a little tough and chewy. I wish it were a little softer and less chewy, perhaps by boiling the pasta slightly longer. Overall, I'd order this dish again because it was delicious. My wife's short ribs tasted like a fancy pot roast, which was rich and amazing. This was an excellent dinner. read more

It's a bird... NO, it's a plane... OMG, it's BRAD PRESTON!!! Seriously, this past Friday night this employee at Gervasi's Bistro swept in and made a nice evening into a Great Experience that we will never forget! I cannot say enough about how he saw a situation that could use a little "help" and took ACTION. He dove into his little phone booth and when he emerged we found ourselves at the best table in the house. He topped it off with a pro bono dessert that helped to celebrate my daughter and her husband's 5th Anniversary! And true to his Superman persona, he disappeared into the night without an opportunity for us (mom & dad) to express just how much we appreciated him "SAVING THE DAY"! read more
