We did the whiskey tour and I was bored out of my mind. The owner is a nice man but he really needs to hire someone with more charm to give the tour. He speaks very slow and softly. I felt like I was in a boring college lecture that I couldn't escape because it was a required course we had to suffer through. 90 minutes of absolute boredom until we got to the whiskey tasting. I'm shocked with all the positive reviews here of people enjoying the tour. If you can somehow skip the tour and get to the tasting I highly recommend it. He was very generous with the tasting and my friends purchased a couple bottles to take home. read more

I booked this tour for my husbands birthday. He's a huge fan of whisky. The location was easy to find and the owner was very nice and knowledgeable. He answered everyone's questions. It was very difficult to hear him though. He had a very soft spoken voice where you have to really pay attention to hear. When we got to the actual tasting he was very generous with the pour. At least on our tour I don't think there were enough seats. I was squished on a bench with another gentleman who I didn't know, which made it a little uncomfortable. We ended up buying a couple bottles to take home. read more

We did a tour and tasting here and it was so fun! Very informative about the distilling process throughout and cool to see all the machinery and barrels used here and learn about them. The tasting at the end was definitely the cherry on top, getting to try a lot of their whiskeys and vodka, rum, and gin for anyone who wanted it. My personal favorites were the rye whiskey and a double cask whiskey poured directly from a beaker. The tour guide was the BEST, making the whole experience top notch. Would recommend! read more

My friend & I took this tour and whiskey tasting to learn more about whiskey. Parking is very easy. Either on the street or park in their parking lot. Louis, the owner, gave the tour. He is very knowledgeable about his craft. However, his voice is not very loud. There was only six in this group. If there were more people, it would have been a problem hearing him. The room where the tasting was held could use some ambiance. The whiskey is not inexpensive to buy, and the tasting room could use some help. If you attend, bring a jacket as it was very cold inside. read more

I took my boyfriend here for his birthday. The tour is informative but I wish there was whiskey tasting throughout the tour not just at the end. Like if at each spot he stopped to talk he gave another sample of his whiskey not just at the end. We did enjoy it overall and my boyfriend wanted a bottle at the end so his taste samples were good. Great tour with the owner which was super knowledgeable and accommodating to our large group. Got to walk through the warehouse and see all the equipment while also learning about the process. Not to mention being able to sample all the amazing whiskeys. Was fun and recommended for a fun experience. read more

Can not recommend this tour enough. Our guide, Blake, was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, accommodating and laid back - the perfect host for our afternoon. This is a great activity for a group of friends, whiskey aficionados and novices alike. A few tips... - Come curious! The tour is pretty informal and more like the distiller is gladly taking a break from work to show you around. So ask tons of questions! Blake can tell you all about the company's history, how different alcohols are made, how their elaborate machines work, and lots of funny anecdotes about being the sole operator of the country's largest craft distillery. - Come thirsty but fed! You will get to taste enough unique whiskeys, bourbons and rums to truly make the $50 ticket price well worth it. But there's no food and you're going to wish there was. We ended up strolling to downtown Culver for a much needed dinner after. Thankfully the parking lot is patrolled by 24 hour security and we could safely leave our car there for a few hours. - Tickets sold out? Give them a call! We learned that the booking site locks out any additional ticket sales 24 hours before the tour, even if there are still spots available. So give them a ring if you're hoping to make a last minute booking. read more

Incredible. Beautiful selection of whiskey, and such a unique walk through! Had just the heads (pre casked) bourbon, then post 18 month bourbon, rye, single malt, tripled married, and his first single malt. It was a beautiful selection. Highly recommend! read more

We live walking distance to the distillery and had never been before. So to start our holiday celebrations off right we decided to get tickets for the tour and tasting. What a gem to have in Culver City!! We learned so much, met great people and tasted some truly lovely bourbons, ryes, whiskeys and even gin. I highly recommend signing up for this. Who knew we had a craft distillery so close to home, that produced not only scotch but bourbon and gin and rum, and with the exact variations of each that I somehow have to try without getting too toasted. I wasn't able to visit and tour in person with the Covid-19 quarantine and all, but Blake answered all my questions on the phone in a mini virtual tour about the bourbons and scotches I was looking to buy. Never rushed, knowledgeable about every aspect of all whiskeys, Blake assured me my order would be processed for delivery the same day: it was and got to me the next day! I started with the LA Beach Straight Bourbon and the Glen LA Single Malt. Both are excellent, being anxious to taste them upon arrival! Next up for me will be either the Hi-Rye or Hi-Rye Straight Bourbon and the Triple Cask Scotch. Awesome place and great whiskeys! read more

We found this place while my dad and brother were visiting in town. It's a farther drive from Burbank to Culver on a Saturday and I can tell you my family had a blast. The owner was entertaining and a very slow speaker so kind of had to buckle in for that ride however the tasting they give you is a plenty. A distillery tour at LA Distillery was so much fun (even though we had to group with a few Bears fans!). The tour guide was actually the "do everything" guy at this distillery, from driving truck to running the stills. So much knowledge and he loved to share his stories. I left with a bottle of the high rye whiskey as it was my favorite of the day. Very tasty, very sippable. I love it! read more

Needed to buy a gift for an associate and wanted something other than whiskey from the average liquor store. Yelp showed me this place and it was a 5 minute drive. I thought, "why not?" This place is legit. The modest display room, with glass cases that hold simple presentation of ryes, bourbons and malts, fronts their distillery. Gleaming stills matched with wooden aging barrels in an impeccable space. Check this place out and ask for Blake. We had a great tour and tasting with Lewis! It was really special to learn about the distilling process and details about the spirits from the owner himself. We were able to taste a variety of spirits, including single malt whiskey, bourbon, rum, and even vodka and gin. It was definitely worth the price. I would highly recommend this place to any locals looking to experience something unique. The only thing I would suggest is a little more organization to start the tour, because no one came out to meet us when we arrived or checked our tickets. Besides that, it was a great way to celebrate my husband's birthday :) read more

There's also a counter where you can order a limited amount of drinks they have at any given time. The menu is located above the counter area. And on Friday nights I think they have food vendors that rotate. They even have a limited amount of grocery items for sale, but I always get distracted with the whiskey and beer - I look past the food items except for the doggy biscuits I bought for my friend this time. Definitely a great shop and a great spot for that stretch of Washington Boulevard.

It's not too bitter or grassy. Their hojicha lattes are also yummy. Specifically, their hot black sesame hojicha latte is a treat on a cold day. It tastes a lot like the Chinese black sesame soups that I grew up eating, though with a bit more of a roasted tea flavor. Service is quick, so if you wanted to grab and go, this spot is awesome. The snow top does contain dairy, but not as much as a latte. I also have enjoyed their Hojicha Latte Snow Top at 50% sweet. Good, but a lot of milk. I haven't tried the soft serve yet, but will soon!

From the moment I stepped in, I was welcomed with warmth and passion--but what really made the experience exceptional was Lewis, the founder and owner. Lewis is a master of his craft. His knowledge of bourbon, vodka, and whiskey is as deep as his dedication to quality. He walked me through the entire distilling process with such clarity and enthusiasm that I left not only impressed, but inspired. The spirits? Absolutely top-tier. An incredible new addition to the Las Vegas experience. I highly recommend you bring a friend to the lost spirits venue. Not to give too much away, it's a fun ride, a mixture of adventure mixed with knowledge of the spirits world with a taste-testing journey. I've seen their Los Angeles location and again am blown away as they have outdone themselves with a fun way to experience spirts. Congrats to their opening and much success. My brother and I gifted our dad a Tour & Tasting for Father's Day and we had a great time! The owner himself gives the tour and he's very knowledgable. You can tell he's very passionate about his craft. The whiskey and bourbon are well crafted, but my husband's favorite was actually the gin, which he claims is the best gin he's ever had. If you're looking for a good distillery tour, this is it. It's significantly larger than other craft distilleries I've seen, and the spirits are very tasty. Best gin I've ever had, the rum is amazing, and I'm not into whisk(e)ys, but I enjoyed each of those I've tried. They've got something special here, and the owner/head distillery is awesome and has some good stories. read more

This distillery opened about 4 months ago, they are located directly across the street from Hollywood Forever Cemetery, and the space was previously occupied by a mortuary. The building is gorgeous, spacious, and welcoming. Manager Molly couldn't have been more friendly and knowledgable. We truly enjoyed the time we spent with her. Since we were the only ones there on Super Bowl Sunday she gave us a tour of the facilities and explained in great detail where they source from and how they distill and bottle everything. It's all done by hand here and they truly care about what they are doing! We did tastings of their vodka, gin, and bourbon. They also have rye, and they graciously gave us a tasting of that as well. I honestly loved the vodka (made from dates!) and gin so much. The gin is so fragrant! They locally source all of the herbs that go into it, they call it their love letter to Hollywood, and it's obvious good care was put into making this spirit. After our tastings we both had cocktails, and they were delish. My Oasis Rose with vodka, rose water, date syrup, and lemon was phenominal! I ended up purchasing a few bottles to take home, and I would love to come back here next time I am in the area. So happy we checked them out!

The small warehouse packs a huge punch of information you receive. You get to understand how everything works and everything that Greg makes which was fun to learn about. Google maps will take you to their warehouse area, pull into the parking spot but keep going. The storefront is a little bit off center from the distillery. I went on a weekday so it was quiet, like in an eerie way. The front door was locked and I ended up going around back through their warehouse. That's where I ran into someone finally who told me to go around back, no just follow him. Their showroom is nice-in need of a little dusting but nice. I asked what was good or popular and he said everything was, not super helpful so I ended up buying two bottles of their bourbon. I got to try it after I presented it to my friend-it was ok. It definitely needed some more mellowing.

Those place has whiskey, whisky, rum, vodka, etc. I left with a bottle of Glen LA and High Rye. The High Rye had to be tapped from the barrels and bottle and came with a bit of a wait, but is some of the smoothest stuff I've ever tasted. Highly recommended spot.

I'm truly invested in putting beautiful West Adam's on the map, I love and purposely made an effort to move into this neighborhood. Maybe next time I'll learn more about what they'll be offering at this new location. They have a cute interior plus a small outdoor area with string lights. I was a bit surprised the glass of wine was $20 which isn't competitive for this area (the area is not nice enough yet) but I know costs are getting high. I do want to support businesses moving into our community but I'd like them to take into consideration that this is still south LA and a lot of people who grew up in this neighborhood isn't a fan of the gentrification and pricing the businesses charge I do feel for them, people like me moving into the neighborhood hasn't helped but even for me I thought it was a bit much.
