My husband and I went because the name made us laugh, but we ended up having a great time. I had the stud muffin mule (if you like blueberry I highly suggest you get it) and we split a tenderloin, it was amazing, truly do think it's Cedar Rapids' best. Second time here and we were not impressed with the place overall. Seemed to be plenty of staff, almost too many for the size of the place. They continued to trip over boxes laying on the floor as they went to/from kitchen. Looks messy especially in customers view. One male came out of kitchen (with his finger in his mouth) to show other staff his cut finger (no bandage or gloves) He returned to the kitchen which made it very unappetizing as we hadn't yet received our food. The sandwiches are definitely low end bar food. The bathroom had a filthy heater plugged in an outlet next to the sink which didn't feel very safe considering all the water there. The bill has 4% if you use a credit card so I used cash. I was given dollars back but our server shorted me the coin change- not a big amount but makes me wonder about their bookkeeping. Heard good things about the Blind Pig and finally made a visit. Happy to say it lived up to the hype. Sat down and ordered almost right away since we were starving. Kid got the spicy mac burger & fries which she devoured. I got the rueben thinking the menu prob hyped up the slow roasted hand shredded corn beef but holy hell it was not hyped up. Easily one of the nest ruebens I've had. Hubby got the Philly cheesesteak which he stated was amazing and the bite I stole makes me agree. Would def visit again. read more

I ordered a take out meal, Tenderloin with French fries. The tenderloin was huge with a very adequate size bun to compliment it. I hate large sandwiches with tiny buns. The tenderloin is very good here not the best I have had but close. The French fries were cooked as ordered and they have a very good favor to them a small order compared to the size of the tenderloin. Everything I ordered was included and cooked to my order. I had never been to The Blind Pig before and my boyfriend took me there after my dog passed away and it is a nice little bar in Cedar Rapids. The wait staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about their menu and drinks. I had their pickle fries, and a BLT sandwich and they were delicious. I also had a 16oz of Bubba New England IPA from Backpocket Brewing, which was tasty. It was a cool little spot to go. With Covid-19, the staff was wearing masks and signs were posted for customers to wear masks when coming in. The jalapeño infused corn bread(sandwich style bread) was a perfect compliment to the meat. My son got the pork loin sandwich and to say it's big and cooked perfectly is an understatement. We tried The Blind Pig for date night this week and it was good. I had the firecracker shrimp tacos and my partner had a house salad with chicken. The chicken was fresh but warm (not my fave on a cold salad), and the tacos had plenty of small shrimp on them to make it a meal. Came here for lunch on a Thursday afternoon just after they opened at 11:10am. Parking lot already had 3 cars and a guy picking up food. Was already a great sign! Walked in and we received a warm welcome. We were able to seat our selves and chose one of the 3 booths in the establishment. The rest of the seating was either at the bar or a high or low-top tables. They had decorated some for Halloween and the place seemed very clean. There is also a pool table in the back and karaoke machine. We pondered over the menu after hearing rave reviews about their tenderloins. My boyfriend ordered the breaded tenderloin and I ordered the Pig Out Loin and opted for the breaded tenderloin instead of the grilled loin. Definitely do this if you get the Pig Out Loin! I would highly recommend. The regular tenderloin was $11 and came with lettuce, huge pickles, onions, tomatoes and a side of mayo upon request. The curly fries were a $2 upcharge and came with a sweet Thai chilli ketchup that was pretty darn good! Had just a slight kick to it that went great with the curly fries! The Pig Out Loin was $12. It usually comes with a smaller grilled loin, but I opted for the larger breaded tenderloin. It comes with with cheddar cheese, pulled bbq pork and coleslaw. This was absolutely amazing. The bbq sauce gave it just a nice sweet/spicy flavor that paired well with the creamyness of the coleslaw. There was no upcharge for the breaded loin over grilled loin. I chose the fries for my side, which were crispy and delicious! By the time we were done and ready to leave about 12pm the place was packed! The only two seats left were ours once we were done. I can now see why! The service and food here was amazing. Definitely worth a stop if you're in the area! read more

I was pleased with the food and atmosphere of this place. Me and a couple of friends came out to have a bite to eat and a few drinks, turned out Thursday (and possibly everyday) is free pool night. So, we played several games and had a pretty good meal. There were drink specials during happy hour which worked out good for us. The crowd appeared to be mostly after work crowd at 6:30 ish. the younger kids started showing up after the dinner time. The food was not too greasy and tasted good. I've been here for lunch so I knew it was good. My sister and her husband were in town and they don't have any place that serves a breaded pork tenderloin sandwich we're they live. I took them and my spouse who is always skeptical about a place she hasn't been to yet. Bam, she loves the Blind Pig! It was a great afternoon to try the patio, the server was amazing, the Bloodies were great. Everyone had the breaded tenderloin except me, I got an amazing Cobb salad! I did sample the tenderloin and it was outstanding, I was the man for taking them here, but the waitress and cooks made it easy.
