From the moment we entered we felt like regulars even though we were four states away from home! The staff was so friendly and the other customers were as well! The owner cooked our food that was out of this world!! The best Brussel sprouts in the world, I'm still craving them!! I went there and ordered one drink. Ordered food . The owner let a non certified chef and a 16 year old kid cook my burger let alone a frozen burger. Then the bartender decides to chat with a guest and ignore my food at the end of the bar in a bag. I went to eat my burger and grease came spitting out and burning my face. What a hidden gem! This place is a dive bar on the outside but Gastropub on the inside (at least as farbas their food is concerned). I am normally a very particular about my Burgers but this place is a bang-up job! I had the Swiss alp Burger and it was one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. I can't wait to come back soon for another. Tuesday is Grey Goose tiki special day. My friend and I tried every cocktail on the list and they were all spectacular! Ok, so maybe I didn't have the greatest first experience here. Since this review, I've been back a couple of times. I must say, they have not disappointed me since. The Mushroom Swiss burger has been my go to here at the Blue Goose Saloon. It's HUGE, pacts a punch and is no nonsense. The drinks are great and Dave does a great job at bartending and making sure customers are having a great time and are taken care of ! They have Karaoke every other Saturday that's a hit ! We have stopped here several times in the last few months and have sat in bar and the dining room. The space is welcoming and the staff very enthusiastic about the menu and specials. First time to the Blue Goose. Waitress was very friendly and polite. We had the zucchini for an appitizer and was delicious. My wife got chicken fingers and I got a burger. My wife's tenders were very good how ever 6 was a bit to much. I would have rather her gotten 4 with fries included as the fries are not included. My hamburger came and was undercooked (which happens). I sent it back then the cook returned it and apologized. Overall very good and we will definitely return. read more

We were out shopping and wanted to stop for a bite to eat. My partner and I always make a game of it and stop at next restaurant/bar that we come too. We stumbled across this place and were hesitant on going in. On the outside it looks like it would be a typical bar food joint. It was one of the moments of "Don't judge a book by its cover" situations. The food was great. We got zucchini planks, a burger, and chicken. All was delicious. We were so pleased to find the Blue Goose Saloon open after the first viewing of my deceased father. Our entire extended family were warmly accommodated in the cozy dining room. The owner himself saw to our every need. We had a wonderful late night supper and the drinks were excellent. We were able to toast my father in grand style. Our entire group, including children, found something to love on the menu. The chicken tenders, pirogies and Italian wedding soup were homemade and perfect. I personally enjoyed my Pittsburgh Salad with NY strip steak. The meat was tender and cooked perfectly, the salad and fries were fresh and tasty. I live in New Jersey now, and that salad was the perfect taste of home. My family members all raved about the steak burgers. Each one was perfect. Bob and his team are doing a wonderful job with this hometown, comfortable bar and restaurant. Please do not miss the dessert. It was among the best I've ever had. The place itself is nothing too exciting, but its comfortable and the staff is welcoming. The chicken tenders were just incredible - almost tempura-like - and cooked perfectly. We were so looking forward to a revival of the Calibre of restaurant that the boulevard was with their homestyle cooking featuring outstanding meatloaf and awesome stuffed pepper soup. My wife and I couldn't find an online menu, so we just showed up to check it out. Unfortunately, we were greatly disappointed. There service was poor- i.e. had to ask for napkins and drink refills. The food was just okay, but worst of all, the grill the rolls in margarine and not real butter. My wife is severely allergic to margarine and got very sick. Hopefully they will expand their entire menu. No hoagies, wings, etc. We won't be back, that's for sure. read more
