We had a busy day and not in the mood to sit in traffic at 5 o'clock. This was a nice stop after Settlers Cabin and running errands. The food delicious and belly warming. Parking is easy since it's right before getting on the highway. 10- 15 seats around the bar and tables are open too, comfortable and convenient. read more

Fine dining, it's not. Good local for drinks and good food, it really is. A friend of mine has been telling me about this place for a while, he kept recommending the Italian hoagie. That's what I had and it was worth it for sure! Damn good hoagie. What I didn't take note in was other people's conversations like Alicia N. Did. And she took the time to degrade a place she's clearly been to before for some ridiculous grudge. Just silly. Point being Bishops is a roadside bar and it doesn't disappoint if that's what you're looking for. Give it a try and decide for yourself!! read more

This small family run bar and restaurant on Campbells run road is sure to impress with its cozy vibes and excellent cocktails! Everyone here is friendly and they always have great music and something going on here. Their food is also great, home cooked comfort food! We saw this place tucked off the Parkway West and mentioned how we had been wanting to try it for a long time. So we finally did! The O'Bologna sandwich with fried egg was out of this world as was everything else we tried. Simple, no frills bar with some side tables and very friendly service. Not overpriced. A refreshing hidden gem amidst all the chain restaurants around Robinson. We will definitely go back. read more

My experience here was mediocre. The staff were really friendly and service was prompt. I went for lunch on a rainy Tuesday at 1. I was super excited to try the turbo turkey. I don't think that is what I was served. The cook came out to apologize for not using ciabatta bread. He said he could fix it, but I was hungry so I didn't have him switch the buns. As I kept eating, I became a little disappointed. No pepper jack cheese and no avocado. What I got seemed like just a basic club sandwich. It was really good, don't get me wrong. I was just a little disappointed. The fries were good, but you have to pay extra to have them instead of Bishop chips and you don't get that many. Overall, everything was just ok. Hopefully if I visit again the experience will be different. read more

Ham & Bean soup to die for! Served with a side of thick, soft buttered bread. It was all that, trust me. We started with zucchini strips which was a generous serving and an equally generous side of very flavorful marinara. Hubs had the Pork Chop Special: one chop + side of potatoes and some very colorful, super flavorful Corn & Black Bean Salad. I had to steal some of the latter and it was very yummy. I also had the Caesar Salad. Meh, it was ok. Also served with the thick, soft buttered bread. The place is small, only a handful of tables. The parking lot is a challenge, small and packed. The service is great and the food is fabulous home - style cooking, served hot. If you're sick of the chain eatery experience and looking for a great casual meal, this is it! read more

I was little torn about writing this review, as I hate to talk bad about small businesses, but I came here for lunch a few weeks ago, and from my vantage point at the bar, I could see into the kitchen, and watched the cook make my food, and I could see that she never washed the produce that went on my Italian Sub. I saw lettuce and tomatoes that went straight from the plastic packaging, to the knife for slicing, and then onto my food. It grossed me out, as those things should've been washed before prepping. Also, I overheard one of the employees say they needed to purchase some meatballs from one of the food service companies, so that means they are not freshly made, but frozen. My lunch was O.K., but it wasn't the same Bishop's Hoagie that I used to eat here back in the day, when this place still sold ice cream, those hoagies were awesome. So, sad to say, no cheers for this place, which is unfortunate, because I wanted to try the turtle soup one day, but I most likely won't be coming back. read more

Duuuuuuuude, what an awesome place!!! I had been here a few times when it was the American Cafe, and I really enjoyed it, but now it's on another level. It's been spruced up a bit and the food is top notch. We came here and they were short staffed and their cook called in sick, so their menu was limited. We had a BBQ chicken pizza and stuffed peppers, and both were Fantastic! The lady wasn't comfortable grilling chicken so she used chicken tenders instead and it was awesome! The stuffed peppers were served with buttered Italian bread and in a bowl with plenty of sauce for dipping. Charlie, the bartender, was great, and their prices are very reasonable! This place is a small corner cafe off of Campbell's run. I've passed it for years -- never went in. The other week, I gave it a shot. I got an order of Wings, onion ring, had a yuengling while I waited. First; the beer was so cheap -- good Lord! The wings were good sized and delicious, onion rings were generous -- for the price, it was awesome!! Remember this is a bar, so expect bar food but being that it is -- if you live nearby this is a solid stop. Price and quality is good! read more

Saw this place as we drove by on our way to our hotel. Took the packed parking lot as A good sign so looked it up on yelp. It definitely lives up to the positive reviews! It's a nice clean little pub. No smoking inside. And the food was great! Had the Ruben and it was truly spectacular. Not a fancy place but if your looking for a good sandwich a beer and some sports on TV this is a great choice! read more

I have only tried their fried chicken salad. It was absolutely delicious but for $10 it's not enough. Its a veryyyyyyy thin layer of greens (lettuce, spinach, arugala) with a variety of toppings. If the portion sizes were a little bigger i wouldnt mind paying that price. It's a convienent location to my job, thats why i gave them a try, but I'll have to go elsewhere for salads. read more

Due to the hard pieces in the burger I had to constantly spit out and the cold fries I'd say probably some of the worst food I've ever had not to mention it was completely overpriced. Really enjoyed stopping in this place after stumbling upon it a couple weeks ago. The food here is awesome and fast, making it a perfect place for a quick bite. I ended up ordering the vegetarian omelet with mushrooms, spinach, and sautéed onions - delicious! It's a dive bar as well, homey environment, where a few locals appear to frequent. Closer towards evening time, the place will play classic hits such as piano man by billy Joel for a fun overall ambiance! Definitely will be checking this place out again. read more

Entertainers beware! I have filled in karaoke here now a few times. Even though I've started early at past shows, stayed and played late at past shows, and last night kept people dancing and having fun with noone there wanting to sing, Johnny the owner was upset last night that business was slow. He began to tell me that he lost money and should have had me leave. He complained about having to pay me, the lowest paying show I take fyi, so I offered a little less as an act of kindness to which he threw the amount I offered to take on the table and told me how he should have had me leave an hour after starting. He's been drunk Everytime I have filled in here. I strongly suggest not doing business with the owner of bishops. read more

Bishops Cafe is a family owned business, run with care and quality. It is a great place to stop in for a quick lunch and is fast and easy for takeout. Their Reuben sandwich is huge and delicious! They really care about what you think and are always working to make great food even better. Beautiful wooden bar and tables! Is fast becoming a great local favorite. read more

Have been to this restaurant/bar several times to eat. The hamburgers are big and good and the soups are to die for. If you are really hungry and the pork chops are the special, be sure to get them. Had the cheese ravioli and it tasted like home made. If they have none of the above, settle for the Pittsburgh Steak Sandwich, (fried baloney with cooked onions, egg and cheese)! AWASOM! read more

An oasis in this suburb's chain-restaurant h-llscape. Imagine lingering over a generously poured cocktail or beer without screaming on order to communicate with your companions. Rather than being run by an algorithm out of some distant home office or an insecure 20-something who equates hip-bit-deafening background music with an appealing destination, Bishop's is a owned by a local family that actually cares about the experience of its guests. And you do feel like a guest here; even other patrons are friendly and welcoming. Great food, especially weekend breakfast. Some kind of ventilation etc. that would better confine cooking scents to the kitchen would be welcome, but either way this is terrific place. read more
