I emailed and called Tranquil Moments requesting my money back and was ignored for 2 weeks. Today I called my credit card company and requested a chargeback. I do not care how good Tranquil Moments is at massage if they cannot keep an appointment, and then ignore phone calls, emails and text messages about the missed appointment and requests for a refund. My belief is that this business planned to keep my $110, and hoped that I would just give up. I will never ever attempt to book with this provider again. The landlord told me that he has seen a number of other customers show for appointments only to find the business closed.

To this day, I have not had any kind of response from them, and I have not been refunded for the service I never received. Don't try to book an appointment here! They will take your money and you'll wind up having to negotiate with your credit card company to get it back.

I've taken a while to write this review as I wanted to be as accurate as possible. I started going…read moreto Trisha a year ago and as someone who had never gotten a wax I looked for someone close and the best pricing I could find. She always had deals going on and was about 30 minutes away. From where I live almost everything is 30 minutes away so I didn't mind too much. I went to her for about 5 months before switching to another place as I continued to have problems. The biggest problem anyone who books with her should know is "her method" that she came up with is ruining your skin. She lays one large strip across your pelvis and rips. Now going to a new place I learned that's the entire reason my skin was reacting the way it did. I was never prone to ingrown hairs or irritation until she touched me. Then she told me it was essentially my fault and I was not exfoliating correctly. She sold me her exfoliation scrub which truly I might as well have grabbed a handful of dirt and rocks outside and used that. The absolute harshest thing for your skin. Only used it once a week trusting her and it still had me looking messed up. My pelvis and other areas looked like the Rocky Mountains. Next problem I had was that anyone getting waxed knows the worst part is when them tweezers come out. Now I had no clue about that until going somewhere else because Trisha never once tweezed me. This led to me having to come back to her as a follow up appointment because she would miss whole strips. I'm not concerned about writing this review because truly she doesn't know who I am. Not because I haven't gone there for a while but because even in the months I did she had no clue who I was. Never made it feel like a comforting spot to be in when I went 5 months in a row and most of the time had to come back same week to get touched up and her never knowing my name unless she looked at the appointment. My conclusion with more experience I have now with other aestheticians is that she cares about the money 100% and that's why she can go "so quick" with her appointments. She wants to fit as many people in on her books to be able to get the most amount of money and in this industry it's creating people to walk away with ruined skin and damage because she doesn't follow the hair growth patterns. Just one strip and done on to the next. I've gone somewhere else for a long time now and my skin has never done better. They don't suggest any products just simple exfoliation glove and non scented lotion and I only get a few ingrowns here and there now. Please shop around and don't fall for the deals like I did.

She proceeded to scream at me over the phone about how it was rude to get a refund because someone spent time on my hair already. (um...WHAT?!?) she also told me that my hair would grow back and then she screamed that I was not a good fit for the salon when I had frequented for years to have Hannah color my hair (Hannah was the best and did not do this haircut). Avoid Shear Design at all costs. A word of advise to the owner, Jean - the managing director of the salon - should probably be put through SEVERAL customer service trainings. Will be sure to spread the word.
