I like the drinks here but find the oolong milk tea and boba to be inconsistent. Sometimes it's amazing, sometimes it's lacking. The crepes and popcorn chicken are really good. Overall it hits the spot on a hot day!

Lowest prices - so that college students can afford to come daily!! Fruit crêpe is addictive!! Packed with students in the evenings after school. Chinese buns and pop-corn chicken prices can't stay low for long. Open Sundays now!! Open earlier as well, at 10.30am. Close later now - 11pm - when all the other shops are closed.

A phenomenal California Burrito…read more There's dozens of dozens of dining options in downtown SLO. I looked at various menus and online reviews. Every item seemed to be priced 25-50% more than I wanted to spend. Walked past Kreuzberg and initially thought it was only coffee and pastries. The whole layout is immaculate. Outdoor seating, indoor group seating and even a few private seats in the corner that give it a VIP ambiance. Hidden inside was a narrow lounge area with turntables with a bar area at the end. A DJ was set to start at 8pm. The music genre schedule varies. I will return. The burrito was top tier. Side of chips added to the filling satisfaction. Only downside was the price but if you add the quality service, cleanliness, vibe and atmosphere...the value is there.

It was past 7pm and the place was still hoppin' with groups on the outdoor patio, back room lounge and main area. It has more of a restaurant/club vibe than a coffee shop which gives it a special charm. When asked about their chai the friendly barista was happy to share that they don't use dry powder, they use a spicy concentrate. That's one plus!! But, it's not a house brew, it's basic Third Street Chai you buy off the shelf at the local grocer, chef supply, or natural foods store :( To their credit, they heat it up well and top it with a fancy cinnamon design on the milk foam. When asked if there is a local chai, the barista (who is a chai fan) couldn't think of any. This explains why the local reviews were so good for mediocre concentrate. While the chai quest was a miss here in SLO, Kreuzberg is still a pretty cool spot, with a fun, social vibe, friendly, helpful staff, and some tasty looking items on their menu (just not a stop for chai).

The chai, however, fell far short of expectation. While I appreciate the effort of a house blend, it sadly lacked any spice or uniqueness. It was liquid, it was brown, and it had some sweet to it. But didn't get any hint there was spice. That may be what they were going for, but it definitely won't make my list of chais to come back for. On the plus side, the egg tartine was tasty and well prepared! And we had a wonderful conversation with a local at the outdoor seating area. Overall, pleasant eating experience, but not my cuppa chai.

I ordered the banana matcha latte and my bf got the Vietnamese cold brew. The Vietnamese cold brew ended up being sweeter than my matcha but that not a problem for me because I do not like my drinks sweet. A good hint of banana in my drink but mostly matcha. The banana matcha latte is available for a limited time only unlike the Vietnamese cold brew. SERVICE: We were the only ones at the store during our visit but the service was quick. There was only one person taking orders and making the drinks at the time but even then I thought she did it in a timely manner. AMBIANCE: Plenty of space and a cute instagrammable install photo-op against the wall. Plenty of seats available and some games available for groups visiting the store. There is free wifi available as well. The music playing in the background was not playing too loud. I feel like the store is still pretty empty and needs some more decorations but otherwise a good space to get some work done while enjoying your drink. Will definitely come back and try the other drinks!

If I lived here, this would be my GO TO spot for ALL my coffee needs. The space is thoughtfully designed with many furniture pieces from repurposed goods. It is spacious with a light, bright airy feel. All the "baristas" were so welcoming and friendly. They seemed to enjoy their job and their coworkers. They set off a very cohesive vibe. I wish I could have spent the morning just being there but had to leave for a funeral. So many things caught our eye! The baked goods were devine. The T-shirts were super soft and I would have bought one of they had our sizes. The roasted coffee beans were priced fairly. I haven't even gotten to the coffee yet! There were so many iced coffee/cold brew options it was really hard to choose. We ended up selecting the Lemon Pistachio shortbread cookie, a Ginger Molasses cookie, a seasonal scone: Honey Cinnamon, an iced Latte and an iced Vanilla Bean Latte: 1/2 sweet and a bag of Classic Espresso beans. My only sadness was I should have gotten a large latte instead of a regular. We saved the desserts for after the funeral and enjoyed the yummy coffees on our way. The Ginger Molasses cookie was perfect. Moist and chewy and not too much ginger. I should have bought more! The Lemon Pistachio cookie had a lovely balance of lemon zest and fine pieces of pistachio in the cookie and a not too tart lemon glaze and pieces of pistachio on top. It wasn't dry or super dense either. Someone making these is an experienced baker! The Honey Cinnamon scone was the best scone we have ever had. It was messy but so worth it. If you want an entire coffee experience, you have to visit Scout Coffee on Foothill Blvd in SLO. You will not stop thinking about what a beautiful experience it was after you've gone.

It did take a little bit for my drink to get made but I honestly appreciate baristas taking their time with each individual drink instead of batching everything. Drink: Iced Vanilla Bean Latte (7/10): This was good! I tasted hints of the vanilla bean with every sip but I thought it was too milky. It was still delicious and had some coffee taste with each sip!

Drinks: Coffee Cream Top Matcha (7/10): The coffee cream top was very delicious! I tried a little bit before I mixed it and yum! I was sad when I mixed it in because I couldn't taste it anymore. I did wish the matcha flavor was more prominent after mixing. It tasted like straight milk and brown sugar to me. If you ever had brown sugar milk with boba, it tasted exactly like that.
