The best quality matcha drink in the area from SLO to Santa Maria! My new go to boba place in town! The last time I visited this location was almost 2 years ago when it was still the old boba shop with a different owner. According to the new owner, they're not associated with the last one in any way. Chapter 25 has its own theme that I love which is "kindness". You'll see stickers, art works, and signs both inside the store and outside that promoting kindness. I am obsessed with matcha drinks and matcha anything! If the place offers matcha drinks or desserts, I'd have to try it. From all the pictures on Yelp, their strawberry matcha seems like the most popular item, so of course I had to try it my first time here. The matcha is ceremonial quality, whisked and made as ordered, then pair with fresh strawberry puree pieces and milk. I have tried matcha drinks/latte from pretty much every coffee shops around that offer them, Chapter 25 is hands down the best one! Glad Chapter 25 is here. I just have to control myself and not come here more than a couple times a week lol. read more

With new flavors coming in all the time this boba tea shop is always popping! I've been here a few times and all the drinks are so good! The owner Jeff is always so welcoming and reassuring that if you don't like your drink just let him know. I've liked everything that was made. I will be back! I tried this place this weekend, and honestly, I wasn't impressed. We had to wait almost 20-25 minutes for our drinks. It seems like they're training employees on the spot. As a new business, this should have been done before the opening and not during on the first few days. It sets a bad precedent for what you can expect from them. I got the classic boba milk tea, the peach black tea, the strawberry matcha tea, and the tiger milk tea. The peach black tea was nice; it had a light, refreshing flavor. However, the black tea tasted over-brewed and kinda burnt. The strawberry match tea was fine, the tiger milk tea was sweet but also just fine. The real issue was with the boba milk tea. The milk tea was so plain, it had literally no flavor. And it wasn't sweet either. The boba also had no flavor, and it was just bland. The tiger milk tea was okay, just a sweeter version of the regular boba milk tea. Each drink was around $7 which is also crazy expensive for a classic milk tea with boba and the other drinks we got. However, I will say that the customer service was great. The people working there were so nice. I wouldn't come back, but I wish this business the best. I know it's not easy to open and run a new business, but I hope the feedback they receive helps them flourish. read more

January 1st and you know how difficult it is to find an open place to have a boba after a nice hike at Bob Jones? Nigh impossible. We called to check if chapter 25 was open and Jeff was kind enough to answer. They were closed but was willing to serve us. We ordered the lavender tea and it was delicious. Just for the service I would've given 5 stars. But lavender milk tea is one of my favorites and they did it very well. Jeff is in the new owner of Chapter 25. LOVE everything about this place, from plenty parking to the ambience of the interior to DRINKS was all 5 stars for my bf and I. I am very picky with how my Vietnamese coffee is made and since we are from the bay area I was skeptical if this nice town would hit my cravings. The guy who took our order explained how the coffee was made and if I wanted it sweeter he can add more after I try the original recipe which sold me to ordering freely without feeling bad to let them know I needed more sweetness. It was perfect and knew from one sip this was IT! A lot of other places make their Vietnamese coffee either too light or too bitter and this spot has a nice smooth taste every sip without that bitterness so it was enjoyable and just hit the spot. I would go back here again if ever we are passing by! My bf got the taro ube smoothie and it was the perfect sweetness for both of us, adjusted to Oatmilk as well. I just wish more places would offer non dairy drink's without having to charge extra(but totally understandable for a small business) but overall it was a pleasant experience. read more

Dropped by here while we are out camping. Ordered ube taro milk tea, banana coffee, and strawberry matcha. All three drinks were PERFECT. Perfect sweetness, boba texture, and flavor. High quality drinks. Very happy we found this place and will be our go to boba spot while coast camping. Our barista was friendly, offering any adjustment needed (none because they can out perfect). Horrible, rude customer service. Girl at the front appeared & sounded bothered by me asking a few questions about the menu. Very flat affect. Very bad attitude. It was super hot in the establishment. Zero air ventilation. Floors were wet & dirty (not a rainy day today) behind the counter. It was gross. Drink mediocre--skimpy on the leche. I miss the old boba place. My daugter and I stopped by Sunday and tried the tiger tea with boba and the Mango Mango with boba. They were delicious the tiger tea was not overly sweet and the Mango had fresh mango chuncks chamoy and tahin spice that gave it some punch without being spicy it was very good ! I've traveled throughout the central coast in search of a good boba shop, this has been a staple in my family and extended family. Has far been our favorite spot since opening. First off, shout out to the owner, what a chill guy. Second, the drinks were amazing! Grabbed the crème burle iced tea and the strawberry matcha. Phenomenal flavors. The strawberry matcha competes with the likes of lalaland and other famous matcha places. Crème burle felt like an actual crème burle was mashed into the drink, very delicious and rich. Very high quality flavors. Ontop of everything, the owner will make it right, if you want to change up your drink after taking a sip (ex: more sugar or toppings). No other shop does that.
