My boyfriend and I walked in here on a Saturday and were able to get in so we were very happy about that. They gave us the lowdown on their specials and we started our massages right away. My masseuse was amazing! I've had many massages in many different places - from chains to high end spas - and this one was the best! I wish I remembered her name but I will definitely find out and make sure I see her again next time. She listened to exactly what I wanted and she made sure I was happy throughout the massage. If you want a serious massage and an educated esthetician, go to The Body Spot!! I can't say enough great things about this place; first, it was super clean and inviting. The woman at the front desk (she is superb and knows the treatment of skin well), whose name I did not get - my bad - immediately made me feel at home. I had never had a facial before but wanted to try it, and my poor little body needed some deep tissue work, so she examined my face and gave me recommendations I could ponder while getting the massage. Let me tell you about Kathy...WOW!! I had not received a deep tissue massage like that in ages - if you are an athlete and you need some kinks worked out, ask for her when you make your appointment. When I finally came up for air and saw her for the first time I was amazed at how tiny she is!! But strong and very diligent - Kathy is AWESOME!! As far as the facial went, since I never had one before I can't rate it against anything. But I can tell you that although it was a little painful here and there - which I'm assuming is part of the extraction process anyway - overall my skin looks and feels so much better!! And every step was explained while she was performing the facial too. The products felt tingly and smelled wonderful also. Next time I go, I'm going to treat myself to a fancier brightening or collage facial. It was just so nice to take some sorely needed time for myself and get a great massage and facial in a place that was professional, reasonably priced, and super clean, and where the staff made you feel at home and always asked after their care of you while they were working on you. After my first experience, the owner of this shop called me and offered me another massage at no charge to try and change my mind about the service. I finally got a chance to go back and I specified that I would prefer a female massage therapist (because I couldn't remember the first guys name so I played it safe). This time was SO much better. Still a little too hard at times but when I told her, she lightened up and kept checking in with me about the pressure. The next day the owner called again to follow up and make sure I was happy and had a better experience and even told me that the first guy was no longer employed there. Price for the time is good. We chose the one hour foot massage. It was nothing but quick rubbing all over the body. I would have been at least happier if solid technique was paid to my feet. Honestly I could have just told my kids to rub my feet for an hour and Id give them ice cream. Every time I've gotten lashes done here, they last and the atmosphere is nice and relaxing. You get a private close door room unlike other places I've been to where you're in an open station cubicle like with noise around you. This was my first experience EVER getting a massage. And by the stars, you could tell it went well. My sister and I called around 4:00 on a Sunday to schedule an appointment for that day. We found a deal on their website that was for february only, and it was 20Minute chair massage and 30Minute foot massage. The price offered for this was $30 which was AMAZING. We arrived right on time, which wasn't really okay with me I like to arrive early but that's my fault (lol). When we walked in the receptionist area was very peaceful with a cute little fountain and relaxing music. She asked if we wanted to pay before or after, and upon reading a few bad reviews about payment, I chose to pay before. I don't believe this affected how the massage went because the staff didn't seem to speak about money. Although, they did speak a different language, which was expected. After about a 5-8 minute wait we were told they were ready for us and we were led into the back. I was expecting multiple room, but there was one giant room with sort of "sections" of different chairs and set ups. I hope if I ever get a full body massage I get a private room lol but that wasnt the worry this time. I had a man and my sister had a woman, and we discussed at the end that we both got the same treatment which was nice that it was consistent. They were very knowlegeable of where my pressure points were and how to make me relax. I am VERY tense. He rubbed my shoulders in a way I didnt like, but he asked if it was okay and I told him no, so he said sorry and did it differently. I really appreciated this and how many times he asked how I was doing. Very good communication!! After the back chair we went to the foot massage chair which was VERY soft and plush and soooo comfy. They brought hot water for our feet to soak while they got stuff ready, which was relaxing. They rubbed my feet in ways I didnt even think were possible!!!! Great way to end a long day. I tipped generously. Overall it was a very very relaxing experience and I would deffinitely recommend my friends. It was supposed to be a 50minute massage, and they took 10 extra minutes. This was great because I felt it made up for the wait time and time between getting stuff ready. I never felt rushed and that was my favorite part of the experience. The special price was perfect (we even thought we wouldve paid more) for what we received. We left and immediately shouted at eachother about how much better we felt. So rejuvinating! read more

I just wanted to share my awesome experiences I have had here. I use to go to another spot in town but wasn't able to get in and was no longer happy with the service. I searched and I found this spot. My husband who had never had a message before braved a chair message and he didn't regret it. We purchased a pack of 5 and will be back for more. Tonight I tried an hour long reflexology treatment. My girlfriend and I were pleasantly surprised when the foot message included much more. They started on our head and shoulders and worked their way down to our feet. I was fully relaxed and thought the treatment was over and then was asked to roll over face down. The owner really cares about her business. She works very hard and so do her employees and all of the great staff at the front desk. Her prices are fair and reasonable. Took my bestie and my daughter to get foot massages on Sunday. They were able to schedule us at the same time which was great. I've been to Relax Avenue Day Spa several times and this was my first time at The Body Spot so I was hoping for a similar experience which we got. Pros: Excellent massage of feet, legs and especially neck and shoulders at the beginning and end! The gals that did our massages were very kind and accommodated any requests for more pressure or less pressure. Con: Only con is that it could be a bit darker, but they do cover your eyes with a cloth (my daughter didn't particularly care of that). Bottom line: I'd go back to The Body Spot anytime! read more

I was extremely disappointed with the receptionists rudeness. Went in for a foot/shoulder massage. The first thing asked upon arrival was not hello, or happy Mother's Day, but are you paying w/ cash or card? After finishing up the massage, I ventured to the reception area. The receptionist asked when taking my credit card, whether I would pay the tip w/ my card or cash? She did not hand me my receipt for me to add the tip, but again blatantly asked when she took my card. I said I'd pay cash. After handing her 20% to give to the masseuse. She rudely reached for a printed sign and told me that THIS was their recommended tip amounts and continued go on... I shared that I would not be giving a 50% tip, that I gave a generous tip and that I would consider that next time (NOT!!). they keep raising their prices but not the quality. It is still a pretty good (non spa) massage place. You can get in last minute and its a good way to kill an hour if you are bored. I had called and left them a message saying how disappointed I was and irritated! gave my contact number and asked for an explanation as to what happened. As soon as I walked out the room your NEW front desk person approached me and asked if massage went good and I said yes then she started telling me that the price is $79 and not $60 from which she told me as we walked in the door. She even offered to give me discount next time I comeback for the next visit but it's $79 each for that day. Get your facts straight before replying. Went to get the Early Bird Special with friends which I thought was just a foot massage with some neck, arms and shoulders but after the foot massages they had us lay on our stomachs and we got a great deep tissues neck and shoulder massage! I started seeing Maggie since September 2014. She did my eyelashes for a couple of special occasions. They came out really well and she took her time to make sure that I was satisfied. After about a week, some eyelashes fell off and she told me to come in and she would fix them for me. She really wants the customer to be satisfied with her products and services. I started talking to Maggie about my dry skin and fine lines. She recommended the D Collagen facial and I have been seeing her about every five weeks since November. I have noticed an improvement in my skin. I also like how Maggie is honest with me about my skin and gives me tips for improvement. The prices are high up there, but comparable to what other high end skincare places charge. I would highly recommend the Body Spot for their professionalism, cleanliness, services, knowledge, and location. OMG, I just had the best 2 hour massage with Nicole. I was skeptical because I was afraid I was going to get a Thai massage where they twist you into a pretzel, slap you all over, and make you feel worse than you walked in. The rooms are clean, no frills. The massage table was heated, which felt good since it was cold outside. I had a Swedish massage and needed some serious shoulder work. Nicole massaged the knots on each shoulder for at least 30 minutes each. Then she massaged my legs. I had just ran the Hot Chocolate 15k in SF so it felt like I just rolled my legs. She totally listened to how I wanted the pressure and asked me if the pressure was ok throughout the massage (not excessive though). I loved it so much that I booked another session. read more

Looked online the next day at noon, made an appointment and by the time I got there at 3pm the prices had changed! My husband and I visited for the first time this morning. Rarely do massage therapists do Deep Tissue massage as deep as I'd like, but Josh did a fantastic job. He was friendly, too. I highly recommend their facility. My husband had a Swedish with Julie and said that she did an excellent job, especially on his lower back, which tends to bother him quite a bit, since he commutes and sits at a computer all day. I am kind of a massage snob due to the fact that I am disabled and massages are one of the best types of therapy for my spinal condition. The Body Spot was a pleasant surprise. It was clean, professional, comfortable and relaxing ambiance and had a very friendly staff. Without sounding like a racist, I also must admit that I was very happy that there was an English speaking staff. In order to properly convey my injuries and sensitive areas to a massage therapist I appreciate being able to do so in English. I got a 60-minute Swedish massage by Don and it was awesome! I feel better today than I have felt after a massage in a LONG time. I was also glad that the staff wasn't overly pushy about trying to up sell or pressure new customers into membership programs the way Massage Envy and other clubs do. read more
