Well over that 20-year time period I can probably count on one hand how many times I walked out of there with something worthwhile. For one thing the store is always in a fair amount of disarray. The racks are overcrowded. Too many items where they just have one or two things and it's really hard to find what you want in your size. A lot of stuff on the floor and if you do find something you love you have to wonder if it was stepped on or rolled over by a cart at some point. The prices probably are more reasonable if you do find something but you really got to dig. The thing that really burns my hide is the line. It's been long often in the past but it could be worthwhile if you found something. This most recent time I went the line was ridiculous. I would guess there was 35 or 40 people in line and three cashiers. The people were lined up all the way to the dressing room. I expect this if I go in Ross or the Goodwill. Not Nordstrom rack. Never again. But I want to give credit where credit is due, the cashiers despite the crushing workload where personable and did not display any stress despite the obvious frustration of everyone staring at them doing their job. I was able to see the product without having to dig through everything making it a pleasant experience. Overall, I felt like through out the store everything was neat an orderly. I felt at peace to be able to browse at my leisure and shop. Shopping at these types of stores hasn't always been this comfortable, looking at you all Ross's. I had a pleasant experience with the greeter/security at the entrance. I felt welcomed and valued. The colognes and perfume are a great value if you find what you're looking for, comparable to the online discounters.

Three woman stood near the back door shooting the breeze, as well as a person with a "Loss Prevention" vest on. I had been there about 20 minutes earlier, when one woman at the door stated where I could find what I was looking for, at the opposite end of the store. Unable to find the item, I walked around looking for an employee to help me, but no luck So, I went back yo the back of store and saw a young man exiting the back room. When I asked for help he pointed me towards the same area and said I would have to look through all that is scattered. What? There are now the women I mentioned chattering away. I was pretty upset and asked for the manager, when he seemed to page. The women were now smurking,, including the one with the vest. I don't think she was doing her job as she was facing the door. As I waiting for the manager I said, "Apparently, you are all off the clock and if someone doesn't help me soon, I will be leaving my cart where it is and walking out. One stepped up to help, but could hardly contain herself. I suppose the entire nonsense was a source of amusement for them. I had about $200 in my cart at this point. I decided to take two cheap items out of the cart and checked out. As an aside, they are not the nest price in town, other places are cleaner, more helpful, and fairer priced

I understand they are combating theft. I've seen the stats on the losses Walmart as a company have taken from theft. So I don't mind the glass cases and having to find someone to open them for me. However, I do mind when Every Walmart employee I ask says they don't carry the key to unlock it. Or nobody shows up after pressing the button for the tools. OR no longer having a button at every case. Or nobody showing up to unlock it after a different employee told you they would get someone who could open it...etc... One time I waited to get some tools that were behind glass for 8 minutes. I was the second person to join in on the fun, someone else was already standing there waiting for the case to be unlocked. Another time I went to this walmart I was with a lady near the supplements/vitamins next to the pharmacy. I needed a pre-workout container behind locked glass. We both waited for a while before someone showed up to unlock it. And another time I shopped there, I was gonna buy my father in law some pants for his birthday, but those were locked up too. I asked a Walmart employee to open them for me, but she said she didn't have the key to open them for me.... I waited for a few minutes, then went home and bought the pants online. Hopefully Walmart Corporate is reading this review. They think they will be okay implementing this solution for theft because the losses are so great. But they must realize that they are alienating a dwindling demographic of shoppers that still go to stores to shop. With that demographic already getting smaller due to Amazon and other online shopping, they are only speeding up the process of their customer base shrinking.

The only problem is that their priorities are out of balance here. The number one thing people come to shop for at Walmart is groceries, yet this store's grocery section is too small. The aisles are narrow and crowded, and you can barely get your cart through if other people or carts are in the same aisle as you. This Walmart tries to compensate by making their grocery shelves taller, but how does that work for shorter customers? Since groceries are the most popular purchases, this particular Walmart location needs to reduce the size of some of the other sections, and expand the grocery section to achieve better traffic flow (and more satisfied customers).

Since I didn't shop much that day, it didn't feel necessary, and I had to say "no" twice. Parking was easy, as there is a parking lot.

It is not right to use safeway bathroom if we dont buy anything, and why she suggested "safeway bathroom." People shop to the store and we suppose to get comforted at list to use their bathroom even just for children.
