Every drink I ordered tasted zero alcohol mind you I haven't had alcohol in 90-100 days. Also I asked for medium rare and it was well done. But the food was tasty just not what I asked for, I also saw the table close to us didn't get what they ordered so I think the kitchen needs some help. We decided to eat at Bone and Barrel after a really fun evening watching Chico play at their outdoor venue. I ordered the ribeye with asparagus and mashed potatoes. I have to say, it was awesome! However, I asked for grilled shrimp and it came fried. The waitress did apologize for the error. The sandwich would've been better if they did not split the role in half, causing the shrimp to fall out. I had to eat it with a fork and knife and not as a sandwich but that was OK. Stooped in from a motorcycle ride from Mobile heading back to Ft. Morgan and ran across this little local spot. It's tucked in with some other interesting places that I want to go back and try out next time im in the area. Queenie and I both had the Burger and I was very impressed. The fries were good the drinks on point and service was exceptional for a very busy evening. So I would say if your in the area it's worth a try. Had to drop some stars here. I ordered 2 of the blackened snapper specials over The weekend and it was pretty bad. Way overcooked don't much so it was like trying to eat and cut through rubber. They tend to overlook everything from onion rings to the French fries. I really wanted this to be good since I always see snapper on the specials especially right now, but again very disappointed, especially with the overall price. My wife and 16 year old (budding food aficionado) daughter decided to check out the appetizers tonight. I have had the burgers here before, and they are legit. We ordered the pork skin nachos, Thai spring rolls, fried ribs, hummus and onion rings... The favorite was the hummus for my daughter and it was probably the best thing overall... not necessarily a sign of good things to come. I was very excited about the house made pork skin nachos. They came with queso, jalapeños, tomatoes, lettuce and the rest for nachos, along with pulled pork. Not great. The house made pork skins were soggy from condiments and soggy pork skins are not really what most people want. The fried ribs came with a good sauce, they were VERY fatty and chewy... even the fry on them did not make them more tender. The Thai spring rolls appeared to not be made in house and were typically what you would expect. The onion rings were definitely not made fresh and my daughter commented that she could not taste any onion at all. The hummus with toasted bread always good. Bone and Barrel had an extensive appetizer selection. You would think that since these are the first things people will experience, extra care would be taken to make sure they are exceptional. We have walked by so many times and decided to stop in for a late lunch. We found that this hole in the wall is the locals diamond in the ruff. We were greeted by the sweetest lady. You just want to give her a hug! It was busy, local Mardigras parades, a beautiful Saturday...like I said it was busy. A cold beer in hand and some recommendations from our waiter. Never did get his name, remember it's busy. Wow what an incredible meal. My Ahi was perfectly cooked and complimented by a wasabi aioli. My wife's Pork rind nachos were covered in barrage of flavors and colors. The girls shared and my daughter chose the Grouper. Light, tender and crisp. They have the coolest patio out back that has a stage, lots of vintage decor and awesome picnic tables (not the usual type) with lights strung above the whole patio area. We tried Fried Ribs for a starter, they were excellent. We shared a burger as we watched them bring several out at the table next to us. The bun had been dried out and toasted and was just hard. The meat seemed to be two types just kind of heated randomly and thrown together with some garnishments. I had 3 beers waiting for the sandwich. Salad was good. Seafood bisque was warm, not really hot. I'm sensing kitchen issues and if it's BS COVID related I'm over it. Reduce the menu and cook what you can in this environment. Do it well. This was a rough showing for a total :30-45 minute wait for lunch fare at dinner and a modest holiday crowd. My husband is the type to kid around with people and I could hear him teasing the hostess while I was in the restroom, turns out she was an older lady with a wonderful sense of humor.
