Lenox has some really cool spots and Ombra is one of them. Recommended by a local, we stopped here on Valentine's Day after our dinner for a nice glass of wine. The place was crowded but luckily a few people were leaving so we scored some seats at the bar. I ordered a glass of Nebbiolo from Italy which was good. My husband had a beer. The place is so cute and very romantic with dim lights, a great wine selection and their food looked so good. Unfortunately, we were so full that we did not end up ordering anything. Although, the french fries were calling my name. Ombra is a place that I could see us coming to almost every week and not getting tired of it. We met a local who is very nice and told us how Ombra is very popular. I think we will have to come back in the spring/summer to get those french fries :) If you are ever in Lenox definitely make your way to Ombra for a nice glass of wine or try a cocktail. Instead of marsala forward it tasted of mushroom gravy, chicken dry with hard edges and polenta you could cut and chase chunks around the plate. Not a bit like polenta should be. Dessert was warm ricotta cake with gelato. Gelato was essential to this dessert as the lemon sauce was so intensely tart and sour it was near inedible without some buffering by the gelato.
