This was a very interesting experience because it isn't often that the service at a restaurant is so kind and accommodating that it totally makes a less than wonderful meal truly fantastic. I popped into this ex-Italian turned fusion style pub while I was working in Oakville. The staff was friendly from the get go and I ordered an appetizer that seemed interesting. Well, once it arrived it didn't thrill me, but being hungry I ate away anyway. The staff there were very attentive and noticed I wasn't enjoying the meal, and they were kind enough to replace it with a main that suited me much better. I had the Strawberry Salad and left very satisfied. Unfortunately, the lettuce wraps had left something to be desired (I'm convinced it was the pineapple. Never trust the pineapple). Regardless the pizza looked amazing and the ambiance is really great. Worth checking out for a pizza and a beer. read more

Pretty good pizza! I ordered the funghi pizza and swapped out cheese for a pesto and olive oil base with honey and chilli flakes on top. I was a little disappointed that we had to get the pizza to go as we were denied patio seating with my dog. So please note that the restaurant is not pet friendly even on the patio! read more

We're a family of 4, with teens and big appetites. The pizzas came out quickly and were cooked perfectly. We had the Feisty Fig pizza, which was very tasty, and the Honey Badger- spicy and delicious. Our daughter had the gnocchi pasta which we dipped our pizza crust into (the sauce was so-o good). Highly recommend for a casual night out. Service was awesome. We'll be back! read more

By far the best pizza in the area. Where else can you get wood stone oven pizza? I've only ordered take out from here and am very impressed every time with the quality. You definitely get what you pay for! I've tried 7 of their pizzas. My favourite are the kerr street and my cousin vinny. If you like your roasted garlic whole, cousin vinny's got your back. My least favourite would be the pizza with a chance of meatballs. The spaghetti makes it a little too heavy for me. I like to keep my pasta and pizza separate. Eat here. read more

I love love love pizza and ordered a Mangiacake pizza (salami and mozza cheese) with speziato (spicy) sauce. It was a good pizza. The sauce did have some kick to it but it was okay. This is a cute little spot part of Kerr Village in Oakville. It's located in the same strip plaza as Organic Garage. This is truly a local spot, unique to other pizza restaurants in this area. Their bread and butter is definitely the thin crust pizzas. It's interesting but their pizza menu is split up into price range. You can make your own for $15 with a variety of topping options, or select a pre-determined pie like the "600 degrees" or "Kerr Street Special" for $22. For the value and size of the pizza, the range of price actually makes total sense to me. You can also turn any of their pizzas into a Stromboli, Calzone, or Panzerotti! They also offer other Italian inspired plates, snacks and sides to choose from. We had the calamari which was great. One of my favourite dishes in general is a gorgonzola and pancetta gnocchi pasta, and I hope to try this next time I'm there! I wish this place had more room for the amount of people that were in the space. It's a quaint spot but can sometimes feel overcrowded. One time i was here the AC was down and it may have been the hottest day of the year! Food was still great though :) read more

Way overpriced for the portion sizes that also take 30-40 minutes to arrive even when there's more people working than customers. Cute little restaurant on Kerr Street. Got the Fun Guy thin crust pizza, and it was delicious! It's not like the pizza you would get at Pizza Pizza or Domino's. It's more like gourmet pizza. Certainly a great variety of pizza's to try but one has to favour the thin crust type. Our starter of calamari was tough and chewy so probably to be avoided by some. We did not select any other starters so can't comment on those. The pizzas were quite good but took close to 45 minutes to arrive after ordering with the excuse it was a weekend, However on our arrival at 6 pm the place was not particularly busy. The service and waiters seemed pleasant and efficient. Having experienced pizzas in Italy and numerous other countries my group (included a 13 & 15 year old ) we rated them around 6.5 to 7 out of 10. Wine, like many places now, per glass, was expensive. Stick to beer, I suggest. I would add..the pizzas are big ! You won't go hungry! I shared mine. Worth at least one visit! The Boot is a great little spot if you're looking for fresh, tasty homemade pizza. I went with a small group, without a reservation on Saturday December 22nd. We were able to be seated right away, but it was the last table available. The menu is more tapas style, smaller plates to share and lots of pizza options! Our table ordered the seafood risotto and a pizza with fresh figs, caramelized onion, hot pepper, arugula and lots of cheese. It was absolutely delicious! The seafood risotto was yummy - lots and lots of garlic. The service was top notch. Our server was extremely chatty and friendly. He made great menu and drink recommendations. He told us that he makes the best Caesar in town and he was right - it was so good! Great experience at The Boot, we will for sure be back. read more

A great little gem we tried out last night based on a recommendation from a friend. I've driven past this restaurant many times but the location (strip mall next to Popeyes) didn't tempt me in. They do a great job in using the small space and the atmosphere was buzzing on this Friday night. The pizza was fantastic. We were in Rome last summer and this pizza comes real real close! We also shared risotto pescatore which was good but have to say it was the pizza that took top prize. In the words of Arnie, we will be back! read more

We went for lunch. Just ordered a plate of "bad boys" (grilled lamb skewers) and a pizza to share. The lamb skewers were small but really flavourful. I could eat them all day. The pizza on the other hand, was below average. Given that this place is actually a pizzeria, shouldn't it be the other way around?? Atmosphere: Great! It felt cozy and reminded me of a pub. Service: Attentive and helpful. I was also super impressed with the service at the bar - when I asked about Italian wines he ended up giving me a tasting of 5 wines and a lesson about wine to boot! Food: Just so-so. The pizza has a very thin, crispy crust and I thought it tasted dry. Some people at my table liked the pizza though so I think it's just a matter of opinion. I also wasn't a fan of the caponata - the onions in it were raw and I didn't like finding out there were raisins in it after I ordered it. The lemon cheesecake was delicious though! read more

Great little spot for fresh homemade plates. The pizza and panzerottis are above average. We had amazing homemade mozzarella sticks. Service is great! Went with a friend for dinner, we both had high expectations as we had heard good things about the place. Firstly we thought we were going to an italian restaurant, but when we walked in and saw the TVs and the bar, we realized that it is a sports bar that has a pizza oven. We ordered a couple of pizzas, they were okay, a bit lacking in flavour, but seemed fresh. Place was extremely clean, staff was great and we were pleased with the customer service. I personally wont be back because of the "sports bar" atmosphere, but if you like that sort of thing, it is nice to have a new place to try. read more

Great Hype ... Great disappointment. Went for lunch with a group from work and experienced the slowest service ever ,,, people actually left after 60 min to go back to work. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded ... some of our orders were even over-looked. Went to the Boot last night.The garage doors were open and dust was all over the black benches and plates. Disappointed with pasta portion sizes and the sodium levels were very high. Pizza crust was burnt on the bottom and lacked flavour. To bad as parking is great. They need to get Gingerman staff over to fix it up. pricing was fair. read more

Nice little spot. The atmosphere is unique with inspiration of a traditional pizzeria with a twist of English pub. The food is just ok. The pizza crust is razor thin and very crispy if you enjoy that style of pizza. The other options we tried were the pasta and meatball hoagie. The only downside of the restaurant is the entrance as it is almost a part of the main dining room. Everytime new customers walk in they seem to be right beside you while they are waiting for thier table. Also with the weather in Canada the cold draft everytime the door opened really put a "chill" in our experience at this restaurant- try eatting spaghetti with your winter parka on.. I would almost suggest to build an entry doorway outside of the building for people to wait and or break the draft when is cold or stormy. I would go back only in the summer though. Price is a bit steep for what you get. I did notice promotions though which is always awesome. read more
