This is a quiet coffee shop with a great atmosphere! There is a good amount of seating along with moody green and black decor. There is plenty of seating, but only street parking. The building itself is handicap accessible as is the restroom. Again, parking close by may be a challenge. The pastries look delicious and had a good variety. The atmosphere is classy and chill and we were able to catch up. There is also space to do some work too. The coffee was great quality and not too sweet. The pastries were perfect and not too sweet too. What a great pairing. The service was awesome and we got a plate and cup for our pastries. It made me want to come back. I truly love this place. I learned about TBTB in 2016 when my pet food store and I collaborated with their Redondo store in 2016. I tried the coffee and realized they were doing something special. They don't just emphasize quality, the OBSESS over it. The staff is always immaculately trained on the equipment, technical notes of the coffees and provides super professional service. I've been meaning to visit all their stores and this weekend's Emerald Series Tour was the perfect catalyst to finally visit all their stores. There only two I've never seen and Pasadena was one of them and holy smokes is it nice. The decor is on brand and beautiful and the space is ample and comfy. I love the coffee, I love their stores and I'm thrilled to see them continue to grow through quality and honoring the farmers and product so much. Keep it up, guys! read more

A gorgeous, well lit establishment serving delicious drinks. The tall windows bring in natural light and the seating creates an inviting setting. The hubby and I swung by post lunch to grab a drink. We both ordered an iced vanilla latte with almond milk and thought it was very good. It was smooth, not packed with too much ice, and drank nicely. I'm not sure why this place has such mediocre ratings, but we enjoyed it. Watched the barista dial in the beans for the upcoming day. I like it when they care enough to do that. The bakery items are held up beyond a basic standard by some crazy creative twists on classics. From savory to sweet the unique combos made me want to try everything. I had a cortado which was silk perfection. I had a second on another day...still on point. I was walking after my appt and saw this coffee shop on the corner. Had never heard of it but the name was interesting and there were a lot of people inside. I decided I needed to do a little work so I went inside and decided to ask the person behind the counter any recommendations. She was very nice and I decided to get a Tea drink called Stockholm Fog which is Chai and Mocha Latte. I wanted it hot. The ambiance of the restaurant is very relaxing and there are a lot of tables and chairs to sit at. I was able to do some work while having my hot tea. The chai was very good and I liked the mix with the Oat milk. It came out in a mug with a cute flower design. This is a nice place to sit and have a drink. There was street parking so I didn't have a hard time finding a parking spot, although on same days, it may be challenging. I look forward to coming again and trying something else. read more

I love the ambiance of this coffee shop here in Pasadena. They call this the Green Shop and most fitting as i looks chill and kinda tropical. It's quiet and perfect for an early morning coffee if you want to be left alone to savor your freshly brewed cup of joe. Service is excellent. This gentleman (who is in the photo - should have asked his name) who was at the counter was gracious when I said it's my first time in the shop and he right away welcomed me with a little intro on their specialties and products. I've been going to TBTB since they opened the first store in my hometown in 2012. When they started out it was amazing 3rd & 4th wave coffee. Now, it leaves much to be desired. The green store is beautiful and aesthetically pleasing but the vibe when you stay for a while is not it. Neither are the prices. I paid upwards of $9 for an iced oat matcha. Nothing else added to it. (It's a great matcha, which is why I do it but I can't really justify that often.) I stayed for a while to do some work, and the store is lined of people working remotely. So it's nice for people like me, I guess. Unfortunately, it was stuffy as heck in there and the music was so so distracting and loud. It's good background music if you're ordering and leaving, but definitely not if you're staying in. I actually started feeling overwhelmed and left due to the stuffy air and music. The girls working today were super nice! So that was a great plus. Anyway, overall not impressed with tbtb over the years which is sad. Came here for a little quick coffee reading break before work and grabbed myself a Salted Carmel Iced Latte. I personally really liked it, definitely woke me up and was on the sweeter side which is how I like my coffee. Interior is modern and very spacious however not much seating availability so you'd have to stand and wait for a spot if you're looking for a seat to study. I'm on a quest to try small coffee shops in the SGV and came upon this one on my walk to the bank this morning. Super cute and has a rustic feel. Lots of regulars getting some work done while enjoying their morning cup. For full disclosure, I ordered a sea salted latte and a carrot cake pastry. The coffee is good. 8/10 from me- smooth flavor, not too overpowering. The pastry was not palatable. 2/10 from me- way too sweet and had the consistency of a cronut. I had to toss it after two bites because I just could not. Service was fine, I didn't exactly feel welcomed upon entry. Rather, I felt like I was at a conference where I know no one. I've been to all the boy and bears and each has its own sense of class and charm. Today I had the silver needles tea which is my favorite at BB. Service was fast, which was surprising as they usually take more time to steep the tea. Today was "toss the bag in and pour the water." Done. Such a great spot in Pasadena! The coffee here is next level--smooth, rich, and never bitter. You can really taste the quality in every cup. The space is beautiful and super clean, with plenty of natural light and a calm vibe that makes it easy to hang out or get a little work done. Came here on a Friday morning as a friend picked this place to meet up for our coffee date. I would describe this location as a moody, eclectic coffee shop. Clean and modern. I wouldn't not recommend this coffee shop but to me, it's nothing special or out of the ordinary. If you are looking for a place to study or work, it is not the place for you as it is a little more on the darker side, tables are all small, and the wifi is slow. You should go to copa vida if you want to study. My friend asked if they made their chai as she wanted their chai latte and appreciated the employee saying no it was just powder. The employees were super helpful and patient with the long line and 1st time customers like us. I got the nordic cold brew for 5.50$ and it was good, but I wouldn't come out of my way to come here to get it. Parking is street parking only, which can be hard on Green street. read more
