I love the food and their blended drinks. Make sure you say blended. You will be passively educated with blended heightened in the surprise drive thru location on cotton lane. I have taken a month break from my weekly visit. I'm not one to keep up with drink terminology and with the amount of choices in a three mile radius I think about going back and decide I'm not feeling like being belittled today so I go to Spenser's place instead. This employee works at both surprise locations when she over corrected I brought it to her attention and said every place is different in terminology and she knew I was asking for by her using the animated belittling tone. Then I got a lesson on why it's called blended. A simple ok would have worked. Here is where my family said they would have been fuming and complementing my mannerism. The next line was ok let's circle back you wanted... and of course it was wrong and repeated few time no coffee shot. She was thinking about educating me over proper drink order. Then I get to the window the eyes oh boy the intense eyes with the customer service smile. My order rings up to average $20ish each visit I order a treat, drink and breakfast item. My daughter joins me most of the time at Litchfield location with a higher amount purchase for her family. She hasn't gone back since the aggravating situation. I'm sure we will go back and I'm only one person for this busy popular coffee shop so my break won't make any statements. Hubs and I were out Christmas shopping and ran into The Boyer Bakery at Tanger. They have a nice little menu and we pretty much bought one of everything lol. For drinks we got a jingle juice, cold cocoa and lemonade. We also got a cherry chip sugar cookie, Christmas vanilla sugar cookie, 2 holiday chocolate chip cookies and a cookies and cream brownie. The drinks were all fabulous. The jingle juice was like a strawberry or raspberry lemonade, it was tart and delicious. The lemonade was great as well. The cold cocoa was like chocolate milk. Refreshing but nothing out of this world. We're perfect to wash the cookies down with lol. The cherry chip sugar cookie was probably my favorite flavor of all the cookies. They were all good size and soft with a little crumble. The sugar cookie was made well and a basic sugar cookie with frosting. The chocolate chip cookies were soft and huge with good flavor. The cookies and cream brownie was fudgy with chocolate chips throughout and a delicious layer of cookies and cream on top. It was perfect! I am so glad that we ran into this place while shopping as we love to support small businesses especially right now. It is so cool to see how far Boyer has come! I worked in a coffee shop years ago that had their baked goods prior to them having their own store front and cafe. Seeing their success is not surprising. They had great product then and have been able to expand in so many ways. The pastries are top notch and they even will have my favorite one that is harder to find in the valley (going to gatekeep which one that is since it's hard enough to find already.) I figured I'd try the coffee while I was here and that was amazing too! The inside is so cute and inviting. They have such cute items from other businesses to buy so I picked up some towels and candles too. The staff was so warm and patient with me as I asked for recommendations on items and looked around. This is a hopping place! I'm not sure how long they have been here but apparently long enough to get a good following and I bowl next door every week. Haha! Tried some actual sandwiches. He the chicken salad on a croissant and a ham and cheese croissant. Both were very delicious. We had a blueberry muffin for dessert as we had to try one. The perfect balance of sweetness! They also have lovely coffee and tea drinks. My fiance had Christmas in a cup and for me not being a coffee drinker, it was still pretty good. He really likes it. How in the world have I not wrote a review yet? I don't even know where to start. The Boyer Bakery is my favorite place to go, PERIOD. My favorite drinks are, Dipped Strawberry Foam Coldbrew, Carmello Latte, Red Velvet Chai, Lavender Chai Tea, Cardamom Foam Chai, and some Rum flavored Coffee drink they had in December. My favorite sweets are, coconut cream croissant, almond cream croissant, cookie dough cheesecake, cherry pop tart, fruity people rice crispy, and the new açaí bowls! Everything is GOODDD! I think I've tried almost everything they have and I've never given something less than 10/10. So that's about it regarding the food and drinks, you can't beat them. Support local' Anyways, the family is just darling. Some of the sweetest people. So welcoming. And the bakery itself is so "studio McGee" haha if anyone knows what I mean. It's light and airy and just so inviting and cute inside (even the restroom!) My husband and I go here once a week. When I was pregnant with my daughter I craved an almond croissant, but a very specific one that I had years before that at a bakery in Bend, Oregon (The Sparrow Bakery) because ya know...pregnancy. I spent my entire pregnancy trying to find one that compared but sadly, I never could. I even contemplated spending $40.00 for shipping, but could never bring myself to do it lol. The best bakery you'll ever encounter! I love that we have this gem in Surprise. The inside is just so beautiful, a modern take on farmhouse style and just feels like home. The employees are always so friendly and helpful, they really make you feel like you're their family. They have a huge variety of baked goods and now serve breakfast items like quiche and lunch items like a chicken salad sandwich. They also serve a variety of different coffees. Thought I'd pop in for a quick coffee and pastry yesterday, it was a lot busier then I was expecting it's a lot smaller then their first location on bell, so line was out the door! The cinnamon bun fresh, tasty, flavorful, and topped with the perfect amount of icing. The chocolate chip cookie with soft, and loaded with chocolate chips, so delicuous. I woke up Saturday morning thinking that I may want to take a trip down to this award-winning bakery. I saw on the website that they make everything fresh daily and it runs out quickly, and that they offer gluten-free items. They even have fresh breakfast. I took a road trip to this place, the sun shining and my sunroof open. When I got there, the feel around and inside the parking lot was relaxed and full of excitement about this bakery. The line was very long but it moved quickly. The service was friendly and very helpful. There was a good selection of things, ranging from about $3 to $5 in the bakery case. I set my budget at about $20 so I could take some things home. Since I'm "supposed" to be on a special diet, I ordered the gluten-free coconut lime muffin and the gluten free fudge oat bar. But also, I got the birthday cake scone and the strawberry pop tart to share. They were happy to suggest a number of gluten-free items and offered to separate the gluten-free items from the regular. The coconut lime muffin was unbelievable as it was fresh and the bakery did something I could not do. They made it super large and fluffy. My boyfriend said the birthday cake scone was a mix of dry and moist. It wasn't his favorite thing. Don't listen to him though, he dislikes about 99% of food. I had the fudge oat bar Sunday evening and it was very delicious- very much like a 7 layer bar, except that it was chocolate in between a ground oat crust. I probably should have eaten half of it, it was so large. When I ate the pop tart, I admit, it was a bit old by the third day. I wrapped it in a moist towel and heated it. It's not really my style. Having it with coffee resulted in a 45 minute commute and work full of stomach twists and turns. I don't think I will ever have the pop tart again. I wasn't sure if I was sick but it turned out to be a really bad case of indigestion. Way too much sugar for me. Otherwise, everything else was great. I just can't eat the pop tart with a mocha drink. read more
