INSANE- I really like supporting local coffee shops, but $6 for a basic iced tea is honestly outrageous. I understand that prices have gone up everywhere, but charging nearly $6 for tea, water, and ice feels excessive. I was genuinely shocked when I saw the price. I don't mind paying a little more for quality drinks and supporting a local business, but there has to be some reasonable balance. At $6 for an iced tea, it makes it really hard to justify coming back regularly. I hope Anthem reconsiders some of their pricing because I otherwise enjoy supporting local businesses.After trying the black iced tea it tastes rotten and old too. read more

I've had it with this place since new ownership took it over. They increased their prices at least twice, they eliminated the old perks like double points on certain days, the app now charges a service fee for using it, they secretly shrunk the size of their large size cups from 24 ounces down to 20 and the pastries aren't as fresh as they used to be. The new owner is playing a corporate numbers game on this once wonderful community coffee shop and must think the customers are suckers. So sad to see this place get ruined! read more

Ambiance is a bit more fast food industrial than a coffee shop feel. Plenty of tables/seating and cute that they have board games to play. Tons of drink options, cappuccino was fine but nothing to truly brag about. I prefer to judge off of typical coffee drinks rather than sugary specialities. Decently priced compared to how expensive coffee has become. Staff was kind and order came quickly. Nice that drive thru is an option. Ultimately great for getting a quick drink and would always choose over Starbucks. read more

I ordered a large daydreamer and they messed up my order they went to hand me a medium. I let the girl know that I ordered and I paid for a large they bring back my drink and they just dumped it in a large cup and just put more ice in it. Well for my first time trying Anthem Coffee it was very pleasant!! I had mentioned to the lovely lady (wished I would have gotten her name) who was taking my order that it was my first time. I was looking coffee recommendations she recommended the CREME BRULEE LATTE. I like iced coffees and she said she can do that. Coffee: 10!! It was really good enough sweetness and coffee taste. What really over did it and stood out for my first visit is the complimentary avocado toast! Which was great btw. I was just in aww with the customer service which I feel in this day and age is hard to come by! I really appreciated the sweet interaction and I definitely found my new coffee spot. Was in need of a little pick me up so decided to stop by, I ordered the crème brûlée latte. It was good but super duper sweet. I like my coffee pretty sweet and it was too sweet. I did ask the gal at the drive thru how sweet it was and she informed me it was really sweet and I could order it "half sweet". I left it as is because everyone's "sweet" meter is different. But it was definitely sweet sweet. Next time I will ask for it half sweet. I went through the drive thru, there was 2 cars ahead of me and the wait was a bit long about 20ish minutes. Even when I got to the window, the wait was about 10 mins for just my coffee. The coffee was around $7 and some change. Not the best but not the worst. read more

The ambiance! Anthem has this chill vibe and it's the perfect spot for a late morning coffee or a delicious treat. Every month they feature that month's themed coffee drinks. For February - Valentine's Day themed coffees were featured with pink foam in tow. March was St. Patrick's drinks with green colors. Their treats are also very delicious. I'm not the biggest fan of blueberry muffins but I tried theirs, and I could not put it down. They have different seating arrangements inside, with a community, high table and plenty of chairs to sit while waiting for your coffee order. There's also the many tables and chairs for two and the seating by the windows. The seating outside is ideal on cooler days and fit to enjoy the nice days in the West. The only downside to Anthem is their service can be hit or miss. The staff are always courteous but it may be some time before someone takes your order or even acknowledges you. Either way, I'd still choose to come here over the other places they've opened up nearby. read more

I stopped by Anthem Coffee today for the first time. I'd been fairly often when it was Ebb n Flow and was intrigued on how Anthem would fair. Service was good. While busy they let us know they'd be with us as quick as possible. After talking with one of the girls we decided to try a crème brûlée latte iced, a cold brew with hwc and sf vanilla, and a Red Bull with berry flavors...I can't remember exactly what they called it. Everything came out quickly and was so good! I typically stick to cold brew, but like to try new things once in a while to get a good idea of the coffee. The cold brew was amazing. It was very smooth and the flavor perfect. Not too much hwc overpowering it. The crème brûlée fantastic. We even ordered one to go as well. The location was clean. Anthem really impressed us today and helped us with our caffeine fix! Drive thru also available if in a hurry. read more

I've tried this specific location 10+ times before deciding to leave a review. The coffee is decent. My main problem consistently every time regardless of going inside or through the drive through is the wait time to order and receive your order. Both have been horrendous and I'm not sure if it's lack of staff or something else but at this point is wildly disappointing. I was so excited to have a local coffee shop and to continue to support small businesses but this last visit I waited at the counter for 10 minutes before my order was taken, the girl behind me actually walked out, and then another 15 minutes to receive my order which was only an ice coffee. It's never busy when I go so I'm not sure what the hold up is. I'm going to take a break from trying for a while and hope that in the future this is something that is improved because while I'm rooting for their success, I also don't think it's reasonable to have getting a coffee be such an ordeal when it should be a relaxing and fairly efficient experience. read more

$8.20 for a 16 ounce (medium) mocha is outrageous for Buckeye. Maybe if I was in NYC or the heart of Seattle and it was the world's best mocha I'd be ok with it, but not in the middle of Buckeye, AZ. I wish they still had the pitaya smoothie bowl and the normal avocado toast from their predecessor. I had to come on here and update my review because I believe in giving credit or credit is due. Today we were near anthem coffee and we both were in need of a pick me up and decided to give them another shot. We are both very happy we did! Everything has stepped up to a five star review, the service is great and the coffee's we had were amazing! I had the crème brûlée latte and my wife had the Nutella latte, they were both SOOO GOOD! The Nutella Latte takes an extra minute or two to make so if you order this, please be aware, but it is so worth it! They also have a gluten-free bagel option that can be made into the pizza or the avocado toast, I have not tried this yet, but will be back to try it! Both of them sound amazing. I've tried this place a few times. I like to make sure I properly judge a place before I leave them review because a one-time bad experience could be a fluke. But nope. It's definitely not. This review comes from the drive-thru only and 4 times (which is the max I'm going to try a place if I don't like it). EVERY TIME I drive through here, the woman that helps you sounds like she'd rather be dead than at her job. I've never ordered anything that wasn't already on the menu and I didn't even customize my drink. Just right off the menu, no change. So that's how easy my order should be, right? Nothing to make someone angry. But nah, having to listen to her take my order makes me feel like she somehow knows me personally and would spit in my drink. Because why so cold?! Next, quality control. All four times, I've ordered two drinks (one hot and one cold). The cold one is a new drink each time, the second (hot one) is their Honey something latte. I'd look it up and let you know exactly what it is but hey, their website menu link is broken. Great job, guys. -_- But that Honey drink. My god. Every single time, it's a different flavor. The first time, it tasted like honey. Great! The next three times... I don't know? I don't even know if I received the right drink the other three times because that's how different they all tasted. Why? Do they not have properly trained employees? Do they not have a procedure or set recipe for each drink? Does the lady taking my order at the drive-thru actually hate my guts? I have no idea. My wife went inside about 2pm today and ordered me a pumpkin latte and herself a mocha. She said everyone there was nice and courteous. But man, the pumpkin latte was the worst I ever had. I know they just opened up but very disappointing to expect a warm pumpkin latte and receive I don't know what. Wife said hers was "meh". Come on Ebb and Flow on Indian School. You can do better. Ebb + Flow has a cute set up! It was pretty busy when I went in, but I could see myself working from this location. The price seemed cheaper than a Starbucks. I did order a coffee, but I did not get any photos of the coffee. It was full or flavor, but also had an amazing coffee taste. The bagel sandwich was toasted well. It was really hot and I enjoyed all of it. I did also pick up a chocolate rice crispy treat. It was soft and tasted amazing. read more

I will start off by saying I reeeeally wanted to like them and for them to succeed. I can't say anything about other locations, but this location is slow and over priced. I come from the PNW and have been working in coffee drive through's since I was 16. I have been to this location 4 times. Extremely slow, can't take a simple coffee order without asking me the same questions I just repeated 3x. All I get is a black iced americano so it's not complicated. The taste of coffee is okay. I feel like the shots might have sat a bit because the coffee tastes a bit sour/burnt. Food is really good! Just be prepared to pay a lot of money for breakfast and wait awhile I'd say get new management and employees that care and can speed it up. Lower your prices to be at least competitive or this place won't last long :( read more

Atmosphere is warm, the people are kind, and the service is next level. Everything we were skeptical about was blown away the moment we walked in and ordered. The cortado was just what I wanted. Elote bagel and hot chili oil avo toast was bomb. the blackberry sage oolong tea was not just some store box tea, but real, high quality loose leaf. The women in this facility are rude and care nothing about anyone's dietarily restrictions my father came threw the drive threw to get me an veggie sandwich with NO AVOCADO He makes it all the way home and it has avocado. Then i drive back wait in the drive threw just for them to give me another sandwich with Avocado. I then drive back and go inside to ask for my money back and they tell me no. Mind you the entire staff is just hanging out in the drive threw area. Andrea is sloppy and lacks the ability to properly service clients. I had to use my epi pen and take my self to the er after leaving her location due to her lack of care and concern she pretty much forced me to take another sandwich which i definitely threw in the trash in her face because there's no way in hell i could consume any further food from her facility . I normally support local business and i started at the verrado location but his one is a mess and so is Andrea. Unprofessional and lacking any sort of business acumen. There's a certain privilege that exists to serve someone food knowing it will make them sick, TWICE and then force them to eat your food a third. I chose to give the second chance but to be force fed a hospital bill and poor service the Better Business Bureau is my next stop. read more

Every time I give this place a chance. It's a fail. Well at least the new Ebb & flow on Indian School & JackRabbit Trail. I go through the drive thru & takes them at least 5 mins. to acknowledge & say hello. When asked if they have any recommendations to try a new drink. The response I get "well what are you in the mood for" When I specifically ask for any new drinks. I'm the only one in drive thru from ordering to exiting 17 mins. It's ridiculous for an over priced cold medium drink mind you. Lack of sincere service and takes too long of my valuable time. read more
