I know they also visit some of the bigger condo developments like The Flats in Southtown. The two women who run it are great at what they do! Friendly and attentive. Last weekend, I ordered a chili dog, but they were missing Fritos (boo!), she told me and asked if I wanted a substition. I declined, and she said the next meal was on her. Sure enough, last weekend I visited them again with the intentions of buying my food, but she had remembered and gave me my order on the house without me asking at all. Now the food. I've got to say, the poutine fries and curds are awesome. The fries themselves are a little limp and not my favorite, but the cheese curds are spicy and to die for. Works well with the poutine. I wish you could order just the cheese curds with poutine and leave off the fries. They have a good variety of burgers and hot dogs including Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese, Guacamole, Mushroom Swiss, chili, Poblano, queso jalapeño burgers. I can't speak for those, but I have had the Frito and chili dog and the Cream Cheese Sriracha dogs, and both were pretty good as far as hot dogs go! Nothing to write home about, but decent! We placed a large order with 15 separate meals, which I know can be a challenge for any restaurant, but they handled it with so much patience and professionalism. The kitchen got pretty much everything correct, which honestly deserves recognition because large group orders are not easy. We arrived right before the lunch rush, so a lot of people came in after us and had to wait a bit. What I really appreciated was that Mark himself came out to speak with guests and explain the delay. That level of care and hands-on customer service stood out to me. Mark has an incredible story, and I made sure to share it with our crew. Everyone was excited that we were able to support a local Black-owned business while in town. And most importantly... everything was AMAZING. The burgers were bomb. I had the Original Fatty's Burger, and one of my coworkers did too with with bacon. Pictured here, another coworker had the 1LB Lineman Burger with fries. It's in an open air market area on the side of Bulverde road near Johnson HS so not much going on when no market is active. That snap on the dog, the toppings, the balance... it's legit. I also decided to try something different and went with the San Antonio dog. It was really good--definitely glad I tried it.
