I ordered from this place on UberEats and...it was probably the worst food I've had in a year or so. Seriously, just get McDonald's. I just kept imagining Gordon Ramsay saying "IT'S DRY" with every bite. The burger first of all had no toasted bun, you can buy a pack of these brioche buns at the supermarket for like $6. It's not asking too much to just throw it on a griddle for 1 minute. The meat- oh god, it's like eating a sand patty. The whole burger tasted like someone had a backyard barbecue last year and just rediscovered that some ingredients were left over. Idk what's so difficult, a burger literally only requires you to grab some ground beef and press it down on a grill. Seriously. The taco is somehow worse. The tortilla was pretty stale, it hadn't been heated at all. Like it just tastes like paper. This isn't Cali but I'm expecting you to at least make a taco that doesn't taste like Lunchables. The meat, again, dry and stringy as you can see in the pic. Pretty inedible. I doused the whole thing in the Tostitos salsa they packed with the taco to try to regain moisture. The roasted peppers weren't even chopped all the way LOL like... come on. This isn't that hard. All in all a complete waste of money, UberEats is a horrible service, I should have just cooked. Can't comment on their drinks. I was ordering food to take back to work. The employees here are very friendly and social. Very down to earth. The overall place was very clean. Tables blocking the dining room to comply with the "Social Distancing" policy put in place by the government for all bars and food places. The bar area has a ton of LED HDTV's with news & sports. Another PLUS while waiting for the take-out food. There is parking out front on the street. Also the general area is not bad. UMB is right down the street. The overall general crowd around the restaurant seems to be middle-class. Mostly families walking their pets. The outside area was also clean. The food was nice & hot. Also very very generous on the amount of nachos & meat too. Overall once the world is back to normal and everything opens. This place is definitely on the list for good food. read more

We came after a show at the Lyric Opera House (along with a bunch of unknowing other people) and were SUPER-DISAPPOINTED! The beer selection was amazing; however, the bartenders were either not knowledge or disinterested in being helpful. When we asked if any of the expansive list of IPAs were West Coast IPAs, they showed us a NEW ENGLAND IPA and said they had a Hazy IPA (actually, the opposite of a West Coast IPA! The food menu was less than impressive, and the bartenders' response when asked what they recommended was pretty lackluster. . They also automatically include 18% tip. . Good beer selection and atmosphere. But the bartender was deceptive. Ordered two beers at the bar and wanted to pay cash. When she told me 20 bucks didn't cover it, I said I wanted to see the tab. She wouldn't give it to me. I insisted and said I needed to see it before I would pay. After the third time, she finally gave it to me, and I could see why she didn't want me to see it. I went to The Brass Tap for happy hour recently, and it was okay overall. The beer/draught list was great, and the food was better than I expected (I had their steak tacos)! The service was good. It was a good experience overall, but it isn't a place I'd go out of my way to visit. Still, a very decent place to spend a happy hour, even if it doesn't stand out from other places! I had visited this place a few months ago and was so impressed by the quality of the tacos, they were some of the best I had had in Baltimore! But I visited again tonight and ordered the same tacos that had been so amazing a few months ago, and was so disappointed. They must've changed their recipe or something, because the tacos lacked flavor, and were so dry. One of the chicken tacos had a huge piece of chicken that was so stiff, I couldn't even bite into it. +1 star for friendly staff, but I really hope they change their taco recipe back. Cute establishment, with lots of seating, dim lights and good music. Understandably quiet on a Monday night. Ordered the All american burger and tater tots. There was an EXTENSIVE beer list from fruity, to traditional flavors, but I went with soda. Anyway the burger bun was good, soft, and not at all too "bready". There were thick slices of bacon, fixings. The patty was thick, juicy, flavorful and well done. The tater tots were one of the best I've had. The flavor reminded me of mini knishes, I tasted the subtle flavor of onion or shallots, but there were not bits within. The outside was crisp. I definitely recommend them. They list ablut 6 sauces under the burgers section and I requested the peri peri aioli on the side. It was good on both the tots and burger. It's hard to describe, but it tasted like mayo, but then had the flavor of spicy mustard. Overall it was a good dining experience and I'd definitely give it another shot. The beer selections are fantastic as is the location. It's got outdoor seating which is perfect for people watching as people leave the light rail station. They're intorducing some new menu items and the brussel sprouts are AMAZING. I went back twice in one day for some more. I come here with my friends every Wednesday for Trivia night so I am part of their loyalty rewards club, which gives me $10 off my next purchase after every $200 I spend. The servers are always amazing and attentive. They have a huge selection of different beers, ranging from IPAs to Sour Ales, for about $7-8 and some cocktails as well. I usually order the pretzels, which comes with a white queso sauce and mustard, and the sweet potato fries are great as well. I've walked or run past The Brass Tap a number of times and have been a little turned off by all the TVs and apparent sports bar atmosphere, but I visited The Brass Tap this week and really realized I had misjudged the vibe. Yes, there are indeed TVs but their volumes aren't overpowering and the seating area near the large windows and patios has a cozy feel to it. My friend and I had already eaten, so we just got beer and chips and salsa. I was impressed with their on-tap beer selection (particularly with the holiday Belgian beers). The chips and salsa were alright, but the proportion of salsa to chips seemed a little off. I decided to give this place a try because I was having drinks at the dive bar across the street that doesn't serve food. My expectations weren't too high after reading the reviews but I still gave it a try. I got Buffalo wings and fries. The wings had a lot of potential to be good because the sauce was great but I specified that I wanted my wings fried extra crispy. That's the only way I like to eat them. When I opened the box the skin was so soft, almost as of they hadn't been fried at all. Needless to say I couldn't really enjoy them. This is a cool spot near the University of Baltimore and the Baltimore Penn Train Station. I like the vibe of the establishment and the energy of the place. It's clean, and so are the bathrooms. One downside is it's loud, and at times hard to carry a conversation. They have a pretty cool system where your server brings you the tablet with the credit card swiper so she puts in the food order right on that and you pay on the spot, without your credit card leaving your hand. You pay and swipe at the table! My friend and I got the sliders and the burger. Solid food presentation, but the food is nothing to write home about. They have many taps on hand, living up to its name. I got the Antietam 1605 Red from Hagerstown, MD, it's basically a better version of Yuengling. With that, Ive seen cheaper happy hour prices, but the food is good and so I pay for it. I also like the atmosphere of the place. Whether you sit at the bar, a high top, or a small table off to the side, there is a nice vibe all around. I come with my gf and we load up on apps and drinks and share everything. I can usually run a $50 tab here. NOTICE- When there are events at the lyric, be mindful. Everyone headed to the show will try to come here and it can get really crazy.
