I've never been a really big review guy, but I had to make a point on this platform. With how smoothly this business operates it's hard to believe it's family owned and only been open a little over a month!! My wife and I waited a long time for this beer bar to open and let me tell you, it was worth the wait!! Some reviews on here are so far from the truth I had to set some things straight. 1.) The Brass Tap is a craft beer bar - not fine dining and really not a place to be complaining about not having a kids menu.. It's a beer bar, not McDonalds. 2.) Name one bar that has better food; and also serves 60 rotating craft beer, craft cocktails and wine.. Hint: There isn't one!! They even have Don Julio 1942 and Clase Azul Repo, which are personally my favorite. 3.) The entire staff is friendly (especially Emme). The owners seem very involved and their General Manager Christopher is one of the hardest working people I've ever seen. Every day I'm here, he is here. The man doesn't stop working; he talks with guests, he bartends, he's in the kitchen, cleaning tables and floors. So, I popped into The Brass Tap on August 30th, ready to dive into their great selection of beers and maybe indulge in some tasty bites. The beer list is on point! They've got more options than a kid in a candy store, and the food hits the spot as well. Seriously, whoever's in the kitchen deserves a high five--and maybe a raise. But then there was the bartender... Let's just say she was more interested in what's trending on her phone than what was pouring from the taps. If there were an Olympic event for ignoring customers, she'd take home the gold. Every time I needed something, it felt like I was interrupting her one-woman text-a-thon. I get it--keying in tips is important. But hey, so is serving the people who are giving them! It's a shame because this place has the potential to be a top-notch spot. The food and drink are solid, but sometimes it's the people who make or break the experience. Here's hoping they can iron out the kinks behind the bar. Until then, I'll be sticking to self-serve. My wife and I recently visited Brass Tap in Gilbert, and we had an amazing time! We shared the Hatch Chili Burger with fries, which was pretty good - juicy with a nice kick of chili heat. The fries were crispy and paired perfectly with the burger. We also tried two standout beers: the Fox Hell Hound Hazy and the Imaginary Penguin Berry Lemonade Sour. Both were refreshing and unique - the perfect drinks to go with our meal. For appetizers, we went with the BBQ Pork Queso Mac & Cheese Bites. These were seriously delicious - crispy on the outside, cheesy and full of flavor on the inside. To top off the night, we shared the Hot Honey Pizza. It was fantastic! Sweet and spicy, with every bite packed with flavor. If you're looking for great food, a variety of craft beers, and a relaxed atmosphere, Brass Tap is the place to go! I use to like coming to this bar, but the experience keeps getting worse and worse. I didn't post a negative review because you were new, but now it's been almost 3 months. Every week I come in you have new employees which is concerning. The lunch time bartenders you have are boring and nearly non existent. I don't mean to be rude, but the woman looks like she just rolls out of bed and into work everyday. Takes my order and then spends her time chatting with the server. If I wanted to eat crappy food and not talk to anyone at lunch, I would just sit at home and eat.. I guess I shouldn't be wasting my money here anyways. We have been living in Gilbert for about 5 years and absolutely dying to have this place open. Watching this place develop has created a lot of anticipation and boy did they deliver!! This location is far different than the one we experience in Mesa. Our server Rachel was engaged, seemed happy to be working here and the food was AMAZING!! The layout and design is very attractive with a beautiful patio, plus heaters if you get cold. I've been coming to Brass Tap for years. While turnover was quick in the beginning, the crew and management have really kept this a go to place for every occasion. It really is laid back. The tap selection is always revolving and delicious, and no shortage of west coast IPAs or hazy in a standby. They have all the weird and off the beaten path breweries too, and it's for sure a good time. Food is always delicious and they keep a solid menu with seasonal and rotational items. The experience at The Brass Tap is always 10/10! The food was great, the music was great, and our server this last visit Emily was extremely sweet as well as helpful! During our visit, the manager Cole stopped by to introduce himself and made us feel welcome from the start and asked if there was anything additional we needed. I likely won't revisit this place. During our initial visit, my wife ordered a Caesar salad, and to our dismay, it arrived at the table with a lengthy strand of hair. I approached the staff to inform them of the issue, and the lady who came over dismissed the concern by claiming that nobody in the kitchen had long hair. Ironically, she demonstrated this by turning her head from side to side with her own long hair. Although they replaced the salad, they didn't even extend the courtesy of offering it at no charge. The energy in this place is night and day different, compared to the old Mesa location.. Our bartender let us know that this location is under new ownership and new management!! Stopped by the Brass Tap while on vacation with my girlfriend. I'd highly recommend! The aesthetic of this place is super comfortable. Brass Tap Verde is in my wife and my favorite place to go for craft beer. They have a big selection and it's updated regularly. Alex is very knowledgeable and recommends beers based on what we say we're in the mood for. In addition, the kitchen does a great job at cooking really good food! Their pizza is our go-to.
