Been here twice - once for a late night drink and a second time for happy hour. We actually wanted food the first time but didn't realize that the kitchen closes 2 hours before the bar. The place was pretty empty the first time and moderately packed the second. Service was slow on both occasions. We ordered 2 entrees and an appetizer during happy hour and all came out lukewarm. It probably wasn't just us because we sat with a direct view to where food comes out and watched another order sit on the counter for 10 minutes. Drinks came out at the same pace. The one item that was pretty delicious was the buffalo cauliflower. The taste was great but could be even better if it was hot. Everything else was mediocre. In a crowded scene of great restaurants and bars, there are definitely opportunities for improvement for the Brass Tap to stay competitive. read more

Don't ask why I only took a picture of my food!‍ The interior was nice, as in there was good space between each table. So patrons were sitting on top of one another. The bar was Beautiful all the different options to choose from on tap! (hence the name) I opted for the lunch special All-American Cheeseburger and crinkle cut fries. Everything was nice and hot. We stopped by The Brass Tap for lunch while working on our Nevada Craft Beverage Passport, and overall it was a great stop. We ordered two lunch specials: six wings with fries and a chicken salad. I went with the salt-and-vinegar wings, and they were excellent--nice and crispy, and the dipping sauce paired perfectly. I also tried their signature house beer, Brass Tap Golden Truth, which was crisp, refreshing, and an easy drinker. They're currently in the middle of a grand reopening with poker machines and an additional room, so there was still some construction going on during our visit. The power saws were a bit distracting, so I'd probably wait to return until everything is finished. That said, I'd definitely recommend The Brass Tap and plan to return once the construction is complete. read more

This was my second stop by the Brass Tap, both times on a football Sunday. The vibe is good and the servers are attentive and quick. The specials for football days are pretty good! Both the cheese curds and the fried pickles tend to hit the spot. This time around I got the Asian BBQ Crispy Chicken Sandwich and it was pretty decent, probably a 7 or 8 out of 10. The only bummer I've had both times I've gone is that we are surrounded by tvs, but only the main tv shows the Sunday night game. Both times there have been 3-4 TVs just showing a DirecTV screen. Not a huge issue but seems like it could be improved. read more

Our group chose this location to watch some football this past Sunday. Really impressed with the amount of tvs with various games airing. We sat inside, but the outside area looked like a fun vibe. They appeared short staffed, but that didn't delay our orders. Our server was attentive and helpful. Even busy, she stopped by on multiple occasions to check on us. They have a lot of beer on tap and offer samples. I ordered a spicy bloody to start off with and it was just the right amount of spicy. I ordered the southwest burrito off of their brunch menu. It was good, I'd rate it a 7/10. We later ordered fried pickles that were good and hit the spot. My first time to try The Brass Tap, its seat yourself. I love that in a resturant. We sat outside and watched the cars go by. It's a great location out in South Reno. It has lots of TVs to watch all your favorite games. We had an awesome server named Drew, he was super personable and listen to all my stories. We wanted to order off the Brunch menu, but the kitchen said it was too late. I'll have to go back & try the Chicken & waffles another time, so I got the fish & chips! The fish melted into your mouth and the fries were crinkle style. My husband had the Ribeye Steak sandwich with a fried egg on it, Lucky for us the kitchen came through. The steak was super tender and the flavor was amazing! We tried the light beers and super flavorful and we did share a flight of mimosas for $20. I'll stick to the beer in the future. What a bummer. This place went downhill really fast. Service is still great. Always has been. But something is going on with management and the cook's. Both of us got the wrong food delivered and my wife's chicken was like leather. I don't even know what they brought me. I searched the entire menu and whatever sandwich that was on my plate was nowhere on the menu. The last two times we went it was cruddy. Pleasant modern digs with tons of screens attracting a wide age range but mostly late 30's on up. The bar is semi-open air on one side to the patio, with peekaboo views of the Sierras and Virginia Range. Huge beer selection, duh. Slightly better-than-average menu in terms of variety and quality for most beer pubs (full bar and wine too). Service can be spotty during busy periods, requiring patience. Loud DJ music on Friday was a bit too loud--like they are underestimating the average age of their patrons? (He turned it down to a more tolerable level after the HH crowd dissipated.) Happy Hour deals are a bit stingy, but probably because there's not much competition East of the freeway and South of Meadows. Damonte residents too lazy to drive farther should find the place satisfactory. Pizza is probably the best value. I'd say the slightly premium price point for a pub is acceptable for the peekaboo views, especially when the weather allows opening the giant windows. If you are looking for a place for an extended stay to watch a game on a budget, or want something with more character than a new/modern So-Cal vibe, keep driving. First, I'll say our server, Maryann, was pretty good, except for taking my fries before was done. Atmosphere is pretty cool for a sport bar type place. Would be a cool place to watch large sporting events. I will say though that they had rerun sports events on rather than live sports events (like the British Open) The bar looks like theyre preparing for bartop slot machines. Came in for lunch and ordered the wings basket, half sweet heat bbq and half garlic parm. Per the menu, there were supposed to be 8 wings with fries. When the food arrived, I had 6 wings, all teriyaki flavored. Our server noticed almost immediately and talked to the kitchen to fix it. When the correct order came out, the garlic parm lacked the garlic, and parm flavor. I got more of the runoff bbq flavor from them. And they all looked different than the original order. I had pushed my plate back just a little bit to have a few of the wings, amd the server put a plate on top of my fries. Fries were good. Sweet heat and teriyaki were good. Wouldn't get garlic parm again. On the fence about eating here again. If I do, I'll steer clear of the wings. There are several better options in town. read more

Their pizzas are baked to perfection, their wings are nice and crispy, and their French fries are fried just right. Don't forget to ask for their off-menu Lemon Meringue Martini! We visited Brass tap for the first time last night - primarily for a cocktail but decided to try their food as well which looked delicious. Upon entering this lively bar with large TVs everywhere - (a true sports fan dream) we weren't sure if we seated ourself or how the seating worked. We ended up doing just that out on their dreamy patio that was a bit quieter on this warm summer night. Their open air patio had several seating options low and high top tables plus a long granite countertop that faces into the restaurant /bar with large windows that opened up into the bar. TVs were plentiful also outside as well as their menu options. We ordered two Moscow mules with Tito's, a Caesar salad with shrimp and some boneless wings with teriyaki sauce. The food here looked like not just your typical bar food and we were envious at the pizza that was ordered next to us which we will have to come back and try. The shrimp Caesar was very flavorful and large - had a nice blackened seasoning, while the wings were just OK, but I'm not sure what we were expecting. They seemed frozen and more basic and not quite as hot as they could've been. All In all a great experience and a great atmosphere and did I mention how quickly the food came out and the server attended to us ? Great place to watch sports as it can get loud with the passionate fans. Seating is all table tops with a patio area (pet friendly). Came in on a Saturday noon (6/21/25) with our baseball team taking up 2 large tables, about 20 of us. We were happy they were able to accomodate our group with boys at one table and adults at the other. We had the best waitress and wish I could recall her name. I can't speak for every dish ordered. The consensus was food was overall good, not anything extraordinary, but it hit the spot. I ordered the Caprese pizza with cauliflower crust. The pizza toppings were fresh and balsamic made all the difference on it. The crust was okay, but honestly, most of the cauliflower or GF crusts are too thin and overly crispy, so take it for what it's worth. My two boys each also had pizzas with regular crusts and ate every last crumb, said they were fresh and flavorful. Two of the other guests ordered the cauliflower appetizer and said the sauce had a bit of zip to it, but both complained it was cold. Seems it should be a warm dish and one didn't eat hers because it was cold. I had a Tito's specialty drink which was refreshing, though a bit sweet. I ordered two because it was such a treat. What we appreciated most was our wonderful server took the time to separate bills for everyone, into 7 different tabs, so we could pay separate. She was so friendly and accomodating. No real complaints. We headed here to try something new. And it definitely was something new. We came for bunch and tried the brunch brunch burger and some of the interesting cinnamon roll flapjack. The interesting part is that it is just a smashed flat cinnamon roll then fried like a flapjack. It was of course super sweet as expected. It came with blueberries and a glaze. Not bad, just not something I would make a special trip for. The burger was pretty good. You can tell it was a chain burger, more likely than not from a frozen patty. The space had the biggest Gen X vibe I have ever seen in a restaurant. Early 2000's music over the speakers and all the people were of that particular age range. The tables are packed in and unlike most bars in town, there is a TON of natural light, wich is a wonderful change of pace. Our server was checking in regularly and really friendly. A real pro with years of experience. We never needed for a water refill or anything else, she was ahead of anything we could think of. We probably wont go back on our own, unless it's for their happy hour. One major disappointment is that they have 60 taps and only 1 sour beer. So very disappointing to see this many taps and not some adventurous choices for the beer geeks. read more

We've been here a few times for dinner, and I think the food has gotten better each time we've been. There's spacious indoor seating (can get super busy if there's sports on), and then an outside patio that was really nice (and warm) on the cold January night that we came in. We ordered fish and chips and a chicken bacon ranch sub. Both were delicious and came with some very tasty crinkle fries. My only recommendations would be to make sure everyone has waters (we were never asked) and to leave the condiments/salt/pepper on the tables so that patrons don't have to ask and wait for them (especially on a busy night). We will definitely be back (I want to try their brunch), and are so happy to have this new restaurant in south Reno! read more
