Brisket Grilled Cheese with bacon jalapeño and tots! $16

OH MY GOSH! This is a gem in the heart of downtown Round Rock. The prices and bar food, were exceptional. Their service was good despite only having one employee, the owner. He helped with any questions hand delivered or food and drinks. It looks small from the storefront, but has deep sitting to the end of the bar. It's Across the street is lamppost coffee. I've driven and browsed through shops. Their tater tots are hands down the best you will ever have. The perfect crunch and softness once you bite in. My jam, cheese onion brisket sandwich was a delight and the burger was delicious. Make sure you stop and enjoy some amazing selection of beers on tap and yummy food to go along.

I sat at the bar this time. Service was phenomenal from all of the bartenders. I ordered 2 cocktails off their specialty menu, and both were very well made. (And I am picky about my cocktail quality.) I was excited to see the new food menu as well, and decided to try the pickle chips with buttermilk ranch. The chips were fried perfectly, and had a little kick to them which surprised me but was enjoyable. The buttermilk ranch tasted freshly made. You could taste the herbs in it. The bar wasn't overly busy for a Friday night, but I was there on the earlier side of the evening. It was nice since it allowed me to chat with my friend without yelling. I'm definitely going to come here more often now.

    Cheers!

They have like 60 beers on tap, what's not to like? Nestled in downtown Round Rock, Brass Tap is a great place to drop in, swig a beer or dozen, have a bite and catch the game. Is it fancy? Nah, not really. Is it clean and well-kept? Yessir. Good service, friendly staff and ample seating. It has a sort of coziness to it that makes me feel like they have a lot of regulars and I dig that.

Live music is always fun on Saturday night! Indoors is always lively and a good time. Back patio is so nice especially after recent renovations in downtown. They have fans in summer and gas heaters in winter. Along with a really cool fire pit area. Great beer selection and staff is always really friendly. Parking garage basically directly behind makes it so easy to get to. Food could be better though, pickle chips were very greasy.

This is a pretty cool place to visit if you find yourself in the area. We came in here and decided to get some drinks and grilled cheeses. My friend was ranting and raving about the burger. He said it was in the top 5 best burgers he has ever had. The drinks were alright, I got the pineapple cider which was the best tasting drink according to everyone. The vodka seemed a little off but it was fine. The service was alright also, they were not the most attentive but they also realized when they had to bus our table. I would come back here if I were to be in the area. I should have taken pictures of the food. What a wonderful visit to this bar!

The best part of this bar is the many great local beers on tap, in a great location. We were able to sample a few before we decided on our pour which was very kind of the bar back. The interior is pretty memorable, all wood and feels comfy cozy. There are a few different rooms, the bar is more length than wide and you kind of have to weave down the hall to find people at tables or outside. Great place to have conversation with friends as the tvs are usually on low of muted for music and the different seated areas, like booths, help block out others conversations. We did have to find our waitress/just go up to the bar instead a few times to get what we needed and had to wait a long time for our pork sliders when there wasn't many patrons in the bar and the food was okay, but not memorable.

Excellent! The only problem is, they don't always mark your credit for beers you've drank.

Newer staff. And things have improved a lot. Still pricey. But a good addition to downtown RR.

How do you go wrong with an establishment that specializes in craft beers? This is a fun place to visit, sit relax and enjoy a cold one.

Ticked away in a little complex without 79 visibility along with a couple of other places that don't seem to get much traffic either. Finally made our first visit so we could try "the best fish & chips" in the Austin area. I was surprised how big it was, they have a patio, a bar area and lots of tables I was shocked as from the outside it looks tiny. Service was fantastic which was shocking with them closing soon. The service was enough to want me to go back hopefully for us in this area they end up somewhere close by as I know how hard it is to find good workers. Pretzels were good! Onion rings were our favorite! Their version of the Philly was just okay, was very plain with not much flavor hubby didn't even finish half. But the star of the show was the fish and chips. My son was over the moon! Couldn't even finish half of it and he wanted to haha. Sad to see they will be closing their doors but hopefully the owner has something else up his sleeve as they were onto something with this place.

It was cooked well, if a little too much breading for my taste. The chips were really good. The tartar sauce was different than I am used to, a little runny and pink tinged, but it was good. The mushy peas were yummy and added an authenticity to the dish. I didn't really use the curry sauce that also came with the dish. To me it doesn't go with fish or chips. I did taste it, and the flavor was great.

We ordered the turkey club sandwich with waffle fries for the side. The sandwich was pretty yummy but the fries were a bit over cooked but still ate them. Plenty of outdoor tvs and you can hear the sports on the tv so much appreciated to get a good drink and watch sports. The venue is clean, large open spaces, big drink menu so any beer and cocktail they got it. For me the location, how clean the inside and outside was, the fun factor is a solid 10/10. Great overall atmosphere. I will say the let down is some of the food items, it needs help. I only took pictures of the fish n chips meal but I ordered fried pickles, had a few wings, chips and dip, and egg rolls. The egg rolls are nice and crunchy, it had a corn and bean interior, nice warm with the extra crispy exterior. Good ranch dipping sauce. The wings are also good, crispy exterior nice fluffy chicken interior, it's not the best wings I've had but also not the worst. The flavor menu is a little short so you're not going to get a ton to choose from. The chips and salsa, the queso is amazing. Nice creamy, thick, cheese flavor, the salsa is nice and semi chunky. Both hold on to chips but the chips we got were ultra stale. I mean rock hard. We asked for new chips and luckily the new chips were fresh. The let down had to be the fish and chips. The batter was too thick, the batter also was still raw. The cod is nice and semi thick, still cooked all the way but since the batter was soo thick, it didn't have that crisp factor the crunchy flavor was gone, it didn't have the crispy exterior. In the pictures you'll see how thick it was. The waffle fries were ok, not the best not the worst just in the middle, still crispy but it was semi cold when we got them.
