Tables on tile floor, art painted on wood trimmed walls. Feels comfy and familiar to me. My first go around, was late in the evening, and I was feeling breakfast, so I strolled up to the counter and looked at the menu. I'm a sucker for a good omelette, so I went with the Western omelette, and smothered it and the hash browns both in country gravy, so that's what I ordered. One of the things I love about truck stops is the large portions for a good price, and in today's economy, there's nothing wrong with that. I paid for the omelette, and found a table, and a few minutes later the girl who took my order brought it to me, with an exceptionally large glass of water. I dug into it, and while the egg was a little thin and not quite fluffy enough, it was stuffed with enough peppers, onions, sausage, bacon and cheese to make it filling enough on its own. The toast and hash browns were just a little something extra. But I ate every bite on that plate. That gravy was worth the extra cost and tied the whole thing together nicely. I was sated, and perhaps a little food drunk when I left. Today, I tried the Chili Cheese fries. Again, I paid at the counter and again they brought it to me, with that large glass of water accompanying it. The chili was obviously homemade and was of the beef variety without a bean to be found, there was plenty of cheese on it, and onions too!
