Chicken fried steak with sunny side eggs and potatoes. There was also an egg under my steak which was awesome.

This place is great. The chicken fried steak was so warm and good. It made me feel hot! Eggs are great. They do poached eggs here but I forgot to ask. Whoops! Next time. Check it out though.

this was such a cute little diner. my boyfriend and i came and we loved that it was family owned. the decor around really gave the place the feeling of home. the ladies were so nice as they were handling all the tables on their own but we were more than patient and happy to wait. the food was different i tried their eggs benedict with their homemade sauce. love that the menu also has a bunch of homemade choices to choose from. love supporting family owned diners. thank you !

    Trump art saying "FIGHT!"

Food was acceptable and the staff friendly but my the pro-Trump art turned my stomach. I won't be going back.

Absolutely horrible food. My son wouldn't even touch it and I couldn't tolerate it. Service was slow and place is dirty.

Remarkably, it was a side dish--a testament to how Chef Rachael treats every single component on the plate with meticulous care. When community members ask for recommendations that deliver both an exceptional meal and an outstanding beverage program, this is always the first destination I suggest. The menu beautifully balances signature cuts of steak with a thoughtful understanding that other proteins matter, offering expertly prepared chicken, fresh fish, and dedicated vegan main options. I truly believe "the bites" and "the sides" are equally treated as stars, and I always go back for the seasonal salad and crispy potatoes. The beverage program is equally legendary, offering an extraordinary opportunity to try rare whiskies from all over the world and different eras, where every single pour carries its own unique story. When I brought my partner in for his birthday, the owner asked a few questions of his whiskey interests, and customized a flight for him. It is a nicer, upscale restaurant that remarkably retains a deeply grounded community feel, and in my experience local recurring guests are remembered with genuine hospitality.

Bread and butter, bread crust is over cooked and supper dry. Butter dip : the garlic had burned flavor and the vinegar in it was a bit too unpleasant. Pork belly very under cook and chewy. Clam was okay. Water: I took a sip of my cup and instantly spit it back into the cup, taste like fishy or eggy or disgusting unwashed cup ... Main dishes: supper disappointing steak , supper chewy , not pleasant experience at all for a $200+ single order Pork chop, the sauce was interesting but it was also very chewy and nothing special. We spend over $340 and if it was as low as $20 we would never go back and try it again. I strongly recommend you to not go there for food. Very disappointing and low quality food, nothing as it is rated

The black cod was not the center of the dish literally or figuratively: it should have been labeled a black cod salad because for 35 dollars it was a giant pile of salad with a tiny sliver of cod served on the side. It is offensive to call this a main course with how the dish is plated and portioned. The rest of the menu suffers from similar compromises: the lobster rolls are pretty good but very small for 33 dollars. Some of the other menu items were a lot better in presentation and value. The mushroom risotto and the cheeseburger were some of the better items on the menu. The oysters were also very good. There's some bright spots here but the overall experience is very compromised by some landmines on the menu. I would come here specifically to sample a few oysters and for the cheeseburger but not for any other items if you are expecting an actual meal. You can easily drop 80+ dollars and leave feeling like something was missing.

Short version: Well, my husband and I recently had what is easily the most bizarre experience we've ever had with a restaurant. We'd been to Atoma three times: once to check it out, and then for my birthday in Feb 2025 and Feb 2026. But when we tried to make a reservation this past July, Sarah, one of the owners, informed us that we had been permanently banned from the restaurant. What...? We were dumbstruck. We pleaded with Sarah to double-check our identities and consider the possibility that she and her staff had confused us with another party (read below), but she refused to engage in any kind of conversation. Her complete unwillingness to reconsider her accusation or acknowledge the harm she might be causing was as baffling as it was callous. Full story: As I mentioned, my husband and I had been to Atoma three times. I cannot overstate how uneventful, in a good way, our meals were. We have two young kids (7 and 4), so any night out is an excellent night out for us (no offense to our kids). The most eventful thing that happened was waiting 30-40 minutes for our table this past February because the party before us was slow to leave, but we didn't care. It was 8pm on a Wednesday, we had a babysitter, and we were happy. The staff felt bad and brought us two glasses of champagne, which was a nice birthday surprise. In July, I booked Atoma for my husband's birthday. A week later, I received this e-mail from Sarah, one of the owners: "After careful consideration, we have decided to cancel your reservation. Following your previous visit, during which members of our team were treated in a manner that did not align with the respectful environment we strive to maintain, we have made the decision that we will no longer be able to accommodate future reservations for you at Atoma." Huh? My husband and I repeatedly asked Sarah to confirm that she had identified us correctly, and if so, to explain what we had done so we could take responsibility. The only information she would provide was: "The decision was based solely on the way two members of our staff reported being treated during your previous visit." Sarah would not say anything else, nor would she agree to a phone call. We were so confused. If they were 100% certain that we were the culprits, what on earth did we do? Did we laugh too loudly? Did they dislike hearing about our in-law drama? Was it because we're Jewish? I know all that sounds ridiculous, but this is where your mind goes when there is genuinely no other explanation. And if they were not 100% certain, why wouldn't they try to get more information? Why risk banning the wrong people, unless they simply don't care about the harm it could cause? I can't understand how anyone could treat people this way. It felt, and still feels, horrible. Our best guess is that we were confused with the party seated at our table before us, who stayed past their allotted time. There really isn't anything else that makes sense. Unfortunately, based on other reviews, Sarah's refusal to have a constructive conversation appears to be a pattern. So, while we were once happy customers who chose Atoma for special occasions, we now strongly recommend avoiding it. What happened to us could easily happen to you. There are so many other wonderful restaurants in Seattle with owners who will treat you humanely. I would spend your money somewhere that values not just your business, but your basic dignity as a person.
