Exact breakfast I was looking for. My wife and I took her parents and niece here while they were in town for the holidays. The place was pretty busy, but that was to be expected. Definitely make reservations ahead of time if you are planning to come by for the holidays. We were sat in the back area with multiple groups pretty close, but not uncomfortably so. When we were seated the server asked if our niece would like a child menu (colorable) along with some crayons for coloring. Very nice to see that some places still go out of their way to make children a bit more comfortable. I ended up ordering their lemon lavender stuffed blueberry pancakes, with a side of eggs and bacon, and my wife ordered a custom omelette. My niece ordered chocolate pancakes. We all loved our food and would definitely come back again!

If you want amazing pancakes, these guys kill it. With saying that the food is good the service is off. I've been here several times and what's weird, it seems like the help (waiter and bus) are ex-cons. The way they walk around with out a smile and their conduct is very odd. I asked for a coffee refil and the guy didn't even acknowledge what I said, but turned around and two minutes later came with a refill. Just weird behavior.

What a cool place! I loved all the vibrant colors, and funky vibe. I don't think I have ever seen so many friendly employees in one place in my life! Hands down killer customer service and their food was bomb too! We could not decide on one meal each so we threw in a few extras! I loved my croissant sandwich, my daughter loved her create your own omelet and she doesn't even like eggs... lol, my husband also loved his omelet. The holiday peppermint pancakes were also a hit. I also really loved the crème brûlée stuffed French toast. If I had read the description I would not have ordered them, so I am glad I did not. I think a different name might be better since they were stuffed with cream cheese a berry compote. I was picturing cream brûlée filling, but apparently that's just how the French toast is made. But hey they were delish! I am so glad we stayed an extra day while staying in the area, so we could try this place!

Thanks to some great Yelp reviews, I found this breakfast spot in Sarasota. This restaurant which is a former house, is decorated with a beach theme and is very cool! We dined inside on this hot morning, but the outside dining area looked great on a cooler day. Our server was excellent and the owner made sure to say hello. I started off with a Bloody Mary, then had the skillet special which was delicious! Other entrees we had included an omelette and pancakes. It was a fun breakfast with my wife and in-laws! If you're looking for a great breakfast spot in Sarasota, I definitely recommend The Breakfast House!

The quirky, kitschy atmosphere is packed with personality--plastic flamingos roosting on planter displays, colorful stained-glass fish hanging from the fence, and seashells crunching underfoot. Tiki umbrellas scattered around the outdoor dining area gives it a tropical, Trader Joe's-meets-beach-shack feel, with 80s hits and country tunes playing overhead. The small yellow house holds a few indoor seats, but we opted for the breezy patio, where fans kept the air moving. We went with the blueberry pancakes instead of the island version (filled with coconut and roasted pineapple) since blueberries are in season. They were good, forgettable--about a 3.5 out of 5. They don't serve lattes, so I had black tea with milk, which was a bit of a let down for me personally. My husband had coffee, and they were generous with refills, which was a nice touch. For his meal, he ordered an egg sandwich on a croissant with cheddar cheese (vegetarian-friendly). Nothing remarkable, but it was warm, quick, and again about a 3.5 out of 5. Service was super efficient but a bit brusque BUT understandable since the server was clearly juggling a lot. Free parking is just steps from the entrance. For $35.50 for our meal without tip., not too expensive. Overall, come here if you want quick, easy, kid-friendly, and predictable fare in a fun, beachy setting.

This is a cute breakfast house! Very Florida! I love watching the owner be very hands on. The food was delicious. It was very big! I got the stuffed crème brulee French toast. Honestly, could have done the normal one because this one was overcome with berries. But other than that, it was delicious. The service is fast and this is a great local spot to support!

So we walked to this place it was about a mile from the hotel. All I can say is don't pass this one up. It gets very busy after it's been open for about an hour. We went on a Sunday and we arrived just as they were opening the doors and there were already people out back and inside. It was a little chilly for Sarasota so we opted to set inside. The food is just as good as it looks. There's nothing bad that I can say about this place. We did make a note when we left that there were still a few tables outside but I believe the inside was completely taken and that there was a line waiting to sit inside. I would highly recommend sitting outside. If we had arrived when the people were standing in line we would have sat outside.

We drive past the breakfast house every time that we drive downtown and have always been curious to try it. We decided to take my family here for a breakfast outing this past weekend and were very happy with our meals. We tried a variety of the omelettes and pancakes and really enjoyed our food, but we all noted that the serving sizes were small. Additionally, one of us got the ricotta pancakes, which came with three pancakes, while another person got the banana pancakes, which only came with one pancake, and we felt like the menu should have clarified the different portion sizes despite similar price. After we left, I looked back at the menu photo I took for my review and noted it says 3 pancakes so either we got underserved or the menu needs updating. Other than that miscommunication, I will still be back as it's a cute little spot with good food.

Wow! Just wow! From the sweet greeting we got, the great service and the food everything was fantastic! My partner who loves a good hash, had nothing but good thing to say about theirs! The potatoes tasted like they were cooked on an open flame (a very surprising and pleasant change from the usual), the grits were creamy and smooth and did not need anything else added to them (I'm a Cheesy grits girl, so that says a lot). The bacon was cooked perfectly! Now the pancakes! We only got mini ones with our hearty breakfast, but they were spectacular. Fluffy and light but they also had a little crunch to them which made them perfect on my book! They were also served with REAL maple syrup (which coming from Maine, we recognize). Lastly, the ambiance of this restaurant. The outside patio in the back is nicely covered and beautiful. The inside is bright and welcoming! You feel like you have stepped into your best friend's home who is the most loving person you have met. Also the little sign next to the bathroom in the ladies room brought a smile to my face. The owner(s) truly care and I would come back over and over again.

    Thursday morning

Walked in on a Thursday morning. We were greeted by a lovely lady in front and were told that the wait was about 10-15 minutes. It was less than 15 minutes. 70s to 90s music in the background music was relaxing. Our server Ciara was very attentive. BKH Specialty omelet was tasty. Big hash breakfast was 2 eggs, grits, corned beef hash, house potatoes, and pancake (or mini waffles). I upgraded the simple pancakes to lemon lavender stuffed blueberry pancakes. They were so good, soft, and fluffy. Great food and service in a cute house turned into a restaurant. Highly recommended breakfast place if you are in Sarasota!

When we drove by, we noticed the line outside and decided we needed to stop. On a Saturday, we waited about 30 minutes and then were seated on the outside patio. The patio is so cute and it was a beautiful morning. The menu is extensive and they are known for their pancakes. Our server was friendly and quickly took our drink order. I am not a breakfast person so I chose a half turkey Reuben and a cup of French onion soup. The 4 of us didn't wait long and our food arrived looking very nice. I love French onion soup, but unfortunately not this one. The broth had no flavor and it just tasted like sweet onions with very chewy, thick cheese. My turkey Reuben wasn't very good either. The guys who got the pancakes loved them which is why I settled on 3 stars. I think I just ordered the wrong item.

Came Tuesday 9:30am, quiickly got seated in patio, cute artsy decorations everywhere and the dishes are all very pretty. Don't come here if you are in a hurry because they serve 'slow food' here. My two dishes took 30 minutes to come out; fortunately I brought a book to read (books?? what's that...) Most peole swear by their specialty pancake and I agree it's 5 stars. The other American breakfast staples are more ordinary (my eggs, toast and grits were just OK.) Also they don't do takeout. Set aside at least 1 hour of your busy life for slow food and some killer pancakes; it's time well spent.

    Is 10 too many people?

In my opinion, inside - it may - unless they exclusivize inside for just your group. Outside may be another story, and this would be a great time of the year (weather wise) to accommodate such request.

Not before the FST show…read more (GOSUB to the **** for the meat/burger of the review ((smile)) ) I have reviewed about 30 restaurants in and around Sarasota since 2021 when we moved down permanently and are members of the FST. On this Friday night, nothing was going right. My wife was delayed at school etc. So then a delayed departure from Venice, a false stop at Mad Moe's for a burger in Osprey (PACKED) and then a direct shot and parking across from FST we hope for a quick burger or something at the bar or restaurant at FST? But it was PACKED and they weren't serving any more???? We threw our tickets in the trash because now we could not make it back in time, (( frown :-( )) So a walk to Main Street to see if Patrick's or anybody might have room for two? NOPE. and we were walking along and THERE WAS BREWSTER's GASTROPUB!!!!!!!!!! For some reason I have 128 restaurants on my Sarasota Favorites list and Brewster's was not on it? I checked them on as I entered??? Looked VERY full at the bar, and most tables were full but it looked like we had a shot...... and there was a four top high-top!!!!!!! WIDE OPEN!! I think the no table service might be the delineator. We weren't looking for a sit down "dining" and full service gig. Nor did we need the overhead and pomp and circumstance of a host/hostess, army of bus staff, a waitstaff and being waited on with drinks and water and etc? ******** We came to EAT GOOD SIMPLE FOOD and have FUN. **** And that's what we did!!! "Todd" at the bar was friendly and fantastic. All the bartenders and staff were helpful and friendly. The "security guy" when he saw me at the bar for about 20 seconds helped me get some ketchup. Zone defense and team effort!!!! I got the signature Brew Burger and a side of Street Corn and had an endless glass of water w/ lemon I think I had Todd fill about 5 times. My wife and I bantered about what the Street Corn would be and we were happily surprised with the authentic Mexican Street Corn (elotes?) on the cob with a stick and a delightful creamy Chile, garlic, and Cotija cheese sauce I think. (problem is we gobble them up before we could figure out the exact sauce composition here. BUT it was very tasty. 10/10 The burger (for this adult usually nutritarian plant-based eater) was EXACTLY what I had hoped for. A wonderfully fresh an warm brioche bun, fantastic angus burger, cheddar and a "secret sauce" . I got lettuce onion and pickles which are standard...... this was VERY VERY VERY tasty. only quip is I will opt for sauce on the side and its was a little too much sauce. This was mega and uber better than some greasy Five Guys or Smashburger or any of that stuff. 10/10 My wife got the Shroom & Swiss Burger that had a wonderful portobello mushroom on it nicely cooked, terrific angus burger properly cooked exactly as we ordered it, she loved the blue cheese perfect amount, She also felt a bit TOO much of the secret sauce, but its pretty tasty so not a catastrophe. This was also an AWESOME burger!! 10/10 The sweet potato fries were not crazy greasy and perfectly crisp but not crunchy for fries - good, cross-cut and obviously bulk bag. Cut or sliced would be nicer but of course not expected, its a side. 7/10 The place is clean and glassware and silverware perfectly clean. The counter/bar service is fantastic. I had to make a few trips for ketchup and place ware and etc but hey when your wife gets one of the better vodka cranberry w/lemon and club in a large tumble for $9 instead of $15 or $16 for a 6 oz martini glass with 4 oz of watery drink........ its a home run!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! With all the TVs and sports that is probably the summary of my review. Brewster's Gastropub is a Grand Slam for food and service......and especially burgers!!! Bravo Zulu.

The delicate, fresh greens had the perfect ratio of light vinaigrette dressing. It was so pleasant to add a modest amount of the mushroom emulsion on the baguette and follow a bite of that with the greens. Truly a must order dish if you like mushrooms. French fries - you can't go wrong with the french fries here, go ahead and ask for a side of any aioli they offer you to have them with, I'm definitely ordering these again here

It's got a relaxing beach vibe with outside seating and a nice patio in the back with enough shade. I could tell that they host nightly entertainment here with a small stage. For lunch, I ordered the lobster maki roll. I'm not a big sushi fan, but I was intrigued. This lobster roll was one of the best sushi rolls I've had in a long time. Also ordered include the blackened grouper sandwich, billionaire burger, and tempura shrimp appetizer. Our group loved every entree. The cocktails were also refreshing. I really loved my jalapeño watermelon margarita. Our server was wonderful - very friendly and quick service. Definitely an enjoyable lunch or dinner spot!

We booked this place via OpenTable since it received great reviews. We ended up parking next door…read moresince parking was a bit hard to navigate. The parking place had ample parking where you needed a mobile app to pay for your parking. There was a larger souvenir store there if you needed to kill time before your seating. Once it was our time for our dinner reservations, we were greeted and seated at our table. Our waitress was a bit sarcastic or had a witty comments that didn't sit well with my kids. When ordering our foods, the kids asked what type of drinks they had since it was not listed on the menu. She said Coke but didn't elaborate that they had Coke products. Since she said Coke so fast our daughter didn't hear the response and asked her the question again where she just said that's a great question and ignored her and moved on. Food wise - we had the Peruvian ceviche, Peruvian chicken, I think I had a special grouper dish. The food was good. We were able to eat everything and the kids enjoyed their kids burger meals. Outside of the waitress comments, the place placed nice modern music to listen to and had the basketballs games playing on the tv at the bar.
