If you're expecting the greatness of the real Klub downtown - FORGET IT. Everything here is prepackaged, reheated. I ordered the same meal back to back days - once from the real spot once from the fake one in the hotel. Not even close to the same. And it's really not a tip for thoughtful service if you're forced to commit an amount of money before the foods even delivered. I hope this level of zero service and reheated food doesn't hurt the reputation of the place downtown. read more

I stopped by the Breakfast Klub in Terminal A of George Bush Intercontinental Airport for Sunday breakfast prior to my flight. Being a big fan of the Travis location, stopping here was a no brainer. Walking up, I understood eateries that have additional locations in airports tend to have marked up prices of scaled down menus. As for the cost of the meal, , this location seemed to have the same pricing as the Travis location, but did not offer the full menu. My server was nice, and I didn't have any issues with my food other than the portions could have been a bit larger. read more

After ordering a 6 piece wing breakfast with grits, I waiting with great anticipation. My order came out in less than 5 minutes which was great, but also was troubling in the back of my mind because maybe it was served a little too fast. My intuition proved to be accurate. The wings were a total bust. I was served a plate of rubbery, over seasoned disappointment. Possible the worst wings I ever encountered. 20 minutes for catfish This branch on Terminal A is the worst. She told us it would take 8-10 minutes for the catfish breakfast. We agreed because that would give us 5 minutes before our boarding time. After 15 minutes, we saw food for a customer that came 5 minutes after us, came out. 2 breakfast boxes! And when I asked for mine, there was this typical foolish answer used by all waiters "it's coming". I convinced my friends to eat at Breakfast Klub over Chick Fil A, but I was embarrassed with the gamey catfish, burned with old oil, tasteless grits and raw eggs. I was very humiliated, paid over $30 for this nasty food and ate like maniacs afraid of missing flights. Never again. read more

The sausage was so dense I could not cut it and ended up tearing it apart with my hands. It was dry and tasteless. Having been to the original breakfast klub, this is a very different experience. I would much prefer the experience of the original breakfast klub however this is impossible at the airport. I've never felt as welcome at a restaurant as I have at the original, but I think this would weird many travelers out. Like the original, the food is still excellent however I can only compare based on their wings and waffles. Their waffle/pancake batter is produces the best waffles I've ever had. Their wings are also top notch and the saltiness pairs nicely with with the sweetness of the waffles. My only complaint was that our server didn't offer to bring the check right away after clearing the table which is probably important to turn tables fast if customers have a flight to make. My friend did go to the bathroom so maybe our waiter was waiting for him to come back. Otherwise, speed of service was good for a sit down. read more

I was waiting on a layover in Houston. Out of the options available breakfast sounded like the easiest fix. Boy, was I wrong! Starting off the eclectic menu includes wings and grits. This was my first red flag. I did see a breakfast plate and ordered sausage, eggs, grits and sausage with a biscuit. When I got the meal, I was shocked to find the thinnest sausage patty I have ever seen. It was as thin as a quarter. Not to mention that it was overcooked. The eggs were alright and could pass as real chicken eggs. The grits were the worst mix of burnt vegetable oil and yellow food coloring I have ever tasted. The biscuit was missing. The only atonement for this tragedy would be seppuku. read more

Waitress insisted I was wrong about what I ordered...until the lady at the table next to me said that she ordered the meal in question. I was very polite about it and was suprised the waitress did not apologize for being accusatory. It's a sit down restaurant where you order your food from an app. It requires that you set the tip before you even meet your server. Wish they allowed you to set the tip after the meal. I had a phenomenal breakfast here - you cannot beat the breading on the wings! The best part though, was the waitstaff. I sat at the bar and the bartender was attentive and friendly. The manager even stopped by to say hi, and was extremely active. I saw him delivering meals to people and seating other patrons. Happiness is a function of expectations. After reading about TBK in an Eater article and how it's a favorite of Houston's very own Beyoncé, it was an easy decision of what I was going to have for breakfast before my early flight. I wasn't in the mood for full on meal so opted for 'The Kroissant' sandwich with ham. Unfortunately, my meal didn't live up to the hype. I typically love a good greasy spoon, but the ham that was stacked inside was over-the-top greasy. The croissant itself was pretty good, but tomatoes (although on a warm sandwich) seemed like they had been sitting at room temp for a while before being added to my meal. I'm new to Houston and will probably fly IAH again soon. I'll likely give TBK another chance and hopefully update my review with something more positive. read more

This is a great option for the lack of option for Terminal A. Our bartender, MEL was attentive and funny. We ordered the ChiKin Klub and it was pretty good. Also, a TBK Burger. There was a slight delay in our order but they were apologetic. The chef came out and spoke with us. She was so sweet. We ordered a minosa and the "Angry Monkey fuming with flavor". GROSS. Monkey shoulder whiskey and angry orchard beer combined. There kiddo typed chips are hard and gross. That is the only complaint I have about this location. read more

Food came out hot after a bit of a wait. The flavor of the wings was different than the original, and the waffle wasn't crispy, but it was good. Except that I also got a biscuit and it is flavorless, though quite fluffy. This is really good food for inside an airport. Unfortunately this isn't really a good option for me for airport food because it is too much food, and too heavy, and of course there is a wait while they prepare it. read more

No flavor at all... I got the Belgian waffles, Eggs, and side of turkey. It was absolutely nasty. My husband and I were both disappointed. We just ate the food because airport food is expensive. We should've known better but it was the only place in Terminal A with alcohol after security. The chicken was like if a home cook ate at Breakfast Klub and tried to copy their recipes. Arrived at the Houston IAH Terminal A Airport 2 hours early and was looking forward to a nice sit down breakfast. The only option appeared to be The Breakfast Klub. I overheard a guy telling some other passengers they had a place downtown and it was a great place. I had high hopes. I had the Waffle breakfast with Krispy bacon and eggs. Only the eggs were Krispy. Requested that my bacon to be crispy, but what I got was bacon that was very dark and probably was crispy at some point but apparently had been in a steam pan and was overly salty and not crisp at all. I had two bits of three strips of bacon. I NEVER leave bacon!! Waitress never checked on me or I would have sent it back. Are most of the eggs, then moved on to the Waffle. It too suffered from being cooked ahead and held until no longer crispy, even on the edges. Taste was good but texture was tough and spongy. Wish I had saved my $28 and eaten at the Jack in the Box. read more

I happened to drop in this time post-lunch rush and received my bacon burger (nice portion) quite quick....except it was cooked well done.
