When in Rome... or at IAH, this is the place to be. I had an hour and a half to kill, so why not enjoy some of Houston's best southern brunch spots (now conveniently located in terminal A)? It's either supporting local, or going next door to the Starbucks empire. And I assure you the food here is infinitely better. I tried to go as healthy as possible, which is kinda idiotic when you're at a brunch place that likely serves delicious fried chicken (if it's the same recipe as the brick and mortar restaurant, then yes). So I tried the veggie omelet with toast and potatoes. Delicious! Omelet was good, toast was hearty, and it's definitely the same incredibly seasoned potatoes as the original Breakfast Klub. Service was very friendly. Had to ask for ketchup and my check, but no issues. It's a little pricey, but it's airport food, so that's inevitable. And I don't think it's much more expensive (if at all) than the original restaurant. Lovely way to spend some extra time at the airport. read more

I had breakfast here yesterday morning during my layover in Houston. This is my first time through Terminal A in quite a while, and noticed quite a few changes in the Terminal. I wanted to eat before getting on the plane, and this place looked like a nice sit down restaurant. I looked at the menu before entering and noticed there were some unusual but promising entrées being offered. One of them was catfish and eggs for breakfast. So I thought a give them a try. The restaurant was well decorated, and there was plenty of room with seats both at the bar as well as plenty of tables with a view of the planes outside the huge picture window. My server was nice and attended me promptly. I started off with a cup of coffee which was good. Cream is served in tiny pitchers. Your choice of sugar or Splenda is available in paper packets. The dinnerware is modern and classy. I ordered the breakfast special: choice of bacon, homemade pan sausage, ham or turkey and 2 eggs served with potatoes or grits and choice of toast or biscuit. I was intrigued by the homemade pan sausage, and always love a great biscuit. Jazzy country music played in the background. Up to that point I was pleased, then my breakfast was served. What a disappointment. My eggs were mercifully cooked to order. Over medium. However they were pools of grease all over the eggs. The homemade pan sausage looked really great and promising, like three small hamburger patties over a half an inch thick each. However, while they were done on the outside, they did not appear to be done on the inside. When I eat pork I don't want pink in the middle. I cut off the outside and ate that. The part I could eat had a great flavor. I'm a southerner and love grits, but these, while generous in portion, were thick and sticky like they had been sitting in a long time. I took one bite of the biscuit and did not eat anymore. It was one of the worst biscuits I've had in years. It tasted like it had been taken out of the freezer and reheated, dry and flavorless. Perhaps I just came on a bad day. The potential for a truly great breakfast was there, but the execution was terrible. I would much rather have enjoyed the breakfast at McDonald's for 1/3 the price. Very happy IAH - Terminal A is starting to offer more 'sit-down' options than just the Chick Fil-A, Panda Express, or Jack in the Box (there is also a Hard Rock Cafe to be opened soon too). Despite the less than positive reviews, I actually had a nice meal at the Breakfast Klub. I travel out of IAH on Thursday nights, so this place is packed with many business travelers looking for a meal before flying out. The decor is fresh, spacious, and open. I don't feel like I am stuck and there are lots of natural lights coming from the windows. I also see the view of the Delta planes flying in the jet way, which gives it a 'lounge' feel without having to be in a lounge. The menu was a nice breather as there are now breakfast / brunch options in addition to the lunch and dinner. There were many dishes that I will need to try next time, as I went with the traditional omelette, biscuit, and potatoes. This was fairly good and filling. A 4/5 rating for sure! The server was also friendly, speedy, and accommodating. I did not encounter long wait times or poor delivery times. If anything, there are many staff available to serve than usual restaurants. Take note. Overall, this may be a Go To place for dinner before I fly out. read more

Food was tasty the service was not so much. It was slow. One plus was that they had hospital grade antibacterial wipes on the table for you to use. Nice place, great airport views. Had the klub Benedict which was tasty and very filling. Service is really good, as is the food. Only slight complaint was that the coffee was bitter and tasted burned but I've been here many times and that was a first so not a biggie. Not every restaurant experience can be 5-Star quality. This time around, I was heading home from IAH, and just in time for dinner. This part of Terminal A (I was flying out on Alaska) didn't have a lot of options, and I later found that a moderate stroll to other parts the Terminal would have yielded a bit more variety. But Breakfast Klub had a full bar, decent draft beers, and a pretty good looking sandwich menu. Service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the Club with chips, mostly because I thought it might be the "lightest" sandwich choice on the menu. Although my order was tasty and enough food, it was all just a little too greasy and heavy for my taste. As such, I left the restaurant full, but not entirely in a good way. The original location of Breakfast Klub gets very good reviews overall, and I would expect their airport location to follow suit. Man man man man man. So I had Breakfast Klub on my list of "must eat places" in Houston. It did not disappoint. So I will say that bae prefaced me with the fact that the portions would be huge so we could share a dish. We ended up getting the Catfish (spelled Katfish by the restaurant) and grits. and it was good! It was cooked just the way I liked it. It came with potatoes and a biscuit and it was more than enough food for me to have split with my sig other. When I have more time to spare I will visit the main location in downtown Houston. We came here before a flight a few days back and enjoyed ourselves, but it wasn't an out of this world experience. We seated ourselves, as recommended by a sign posted at the front of the restaurant, and were greeted by our waitress soon afterwards. It took us a minute to decide what we wanted, but we eventually settled on biscuits and gravy for me and french toast for my fiancee. The food didn't take too long to arrive, and when it did, we were mostly satisfied. The biscuits and gravy were pretty tasty, although the gravy was a tiny bit sludgy and didn't taste 100% fresh. My fiancee liked everything on her plate - she did feel like the portion size was a little large, though. She didn't want to feel super full right before she flew, after all :) Our waitress was present throughout the meal, but I wouldn't say she was super attentive. Only came here for a drink..not many other options in Terminal A. Restaurant was pretty empty, however so was the airport.. not complaining though! I was surprised by the number of cocktails they had to offer, I was boring and ordered my usual Chardonnay..however I will most definitely be back to try the perfect Paloma, looks and sounds delicious. My waitress Khea was very attentive and was able to give me wine recommendations. I had a wonderful experience here, customer service was top notch, will definitely return for drinks. Would also like to come back for food..however would suggest them adding some more vegan friendly options. What a surprise! I did not expect to see Breakfast Klub when I passed through TSA at IAH. I practically ran over and immediately got a table. I figured, hey I'm flying for 14 hours, so better fatten up before being subjected to sad airplane food. FYI, if you're not familiar with Breakfast Klub, they are famous for their chicken and waffles. I wouldn't recommend coming here for much else, except maybe the catfish and grits, which is also amazing. Food tasted as I expected of Breakfast Klub--amazing. And what also made me smile is they use the exact same plates as the original restaurant. This location offers dine-in and a separate take-out counter. I had a couple of hours so I opted to dine-in. There are floor-to-ceiling windows so you can gaze out over the tarmac, and there are also power outlets available at the booths for charging electronics. Our waitress was very friendly and encouraged us to enjoy our time, so we didn't feel rushed. Nice addition to IAH! This terminal has improved a lot since my last international flight. read more

I make it a point to eat here each time I am in Houston. The first time I got a traditional breakfast with bacon eggs and grits. I tired a friends piece of chicken and was instantly impressed. I did not know you could get the chicken as your breakfast meat. The next time I went to breakfast was so good that I got the traditional meal again but I added an order of chicken wings because they are so good. The line will more than likely be long. There is a smaller location behind their man location that offers a smaller menu. I went there with a party of 10 and we were fine and the food was just as delicious. The airport has definitely stepped up its food game. Gone are the days of fast food and restaurants you've never come from. In are days of Houston's finest chefs opening their own restaurants at the airport. The Breakfast Klub is one of those spots. Infamous for their long lines, things will be a little easier at the airport (well, maybe). I ordered the classic chicken and waffles after returning from Charlotte on American Airlines. It's a good deal of food: six bone-in wings with a full waffle and a strawberry. They also have warm maple syrup that you can pour in containers. The chicken wings are well-seasoned and juicy. The waffle is your average waffle. The wings are what get you along with the nice combination of savory wings and a sweet waffle. On the downside, I waited a good 20 minutes for my food. They originally quoted me at ten minutes but I think they accidentally burnt my wings and had to start over again from scratch. Hopefully, they can work out the kinks if this is a common occurrence because the food is damn good. read more

Waiting for 15 mins after and nobody comes and assists us. No instructions that we have to order online. Then a waitress came and told us we have to order online. We ordered online then next to our booth, she took the next table's order verbally. Is this some kind of discrimination treatment here? The order came to our table and we ordered fish and grits. One of us never have grits before so we ordered grits and additional potatoes. Order came out with only potatoes and we asked if there was any missing part. The lady said because they ran out of grits so they gave us potatoes for substitution. Okay? First, nobody came out and told us after we ordered. Secondly, that was not substitution, we also ordered potatoes. Finally, they brought grits out and said "the kitchen just made a new batch". And it's really not a tip for thoughtful service if you're forced to commit an amount of money before the foods even delivered.
