The system to order and receive food has changed, but it seems to streamline and speed everything right up. If you approach the restaurant ans see a like wrapped around the building so no not be alarmed! The new order taking process is the reason, and is very very quick.- the line won't be there for long. This place is terrible. Food is OK, but the waiting staff is terrible. Have been here twice. The first time everything so slow. The second time, in addition, the hostess was completely not interested. I asked her for a high chair. No problem she said. She guided us to a table super slowly, and then went back to the entrance. After 2 minutes, I am like, is she getting the high chair? Nopes. I ended up getting it myself. She must have issues with short term memory. The sad state of the "food court" at Terminal A recently improved slightly. (though Jack in the Box is still one of the main offerings). The main sit down restaurant is now rebranded as the Breakfast Klub and the overpriced sandwich I had was pretty good, with great chips on the side. The Negroni (weirdly in a highball glass) was $17.50. I'm never in any other terminal at IAH, so don't know if there's better food elsewhere, but this "court" is still mediocre, at best. read more

I'm an airport employee and this is my first time coming here. I haven't even tasted my food yet. This review isn't about the food. It's about the woman who rang me up at the To Go register, named Pamela J. Leaning on the register, I mean DRAPED on top of it. Didn't greet me, didn't even LOOK at me. At no point during our interaction, did this woman look up from the register to make eye contact with me. She seemed annoyed about my questions about the menu, while still not looking at me. I'm cutting carbs and I asked for just pork chop and eggs, and my food still came with potatoes. That was a bit inconvenient cause they smelled amazing. I'm sorry I chose to eat here today, PAMELA. This spot is a Houston staple! If you are going during the weekend, make sure you get to this spot early otherwise be prepared to wait in line for a minimum of 45 minutes to an hour. If you want a shorter wait, ask about the addition to The Breakfast Klub which only have the Klub specials. I have to say that I'm a little bit disappointed in the Breakfast Klub with this location. At the main location, everyone is super and overly friendly and you can tell it's totally genuine! But MAN at this location, we couldn't even be greeted with a" good morning". It definitely wasn't too early because our flight didn't leave until 11 AM but maybe it was just too early for the cashier and cooks. I was so excited about going here when I spotted it on Yelp, but with a not-so-bright attitude & the food taking over 25 minutes, I was super bummed! The breakfast? Holy Moly! The place is clean, close to my gate & has a good view of the tarmac to watch the planes. But service is lacking (had to ask 2 people for water), the food took awhile to get to me even though it wasn't busy, and the BALT was very greasy. Besides the grease the sandwich was decent. But it made me so thirsty and sat heavy, making me exhausted. I would eat here again, but don't expect too much. And it's quite pricy! A guy close to me ordered a Bloody Mary - $17.33!!! SO. WORTH. THE. WAIT. And I don't say that very often because I hate waiting... My boyfriend and I went on a Saturday morning so of course there was a line wrapping around the building. BUT the line went fairly fast and they give you menus to look at so you have plenty of time to decide what you want. I got the French Toast plate with scrambled eggs (w cheese) and bacon. My boyfriend got the Waffle and Wings plate. After ordering, we sat down and waited about 8 minutes before my food came out. For some reason our food didn't come out together. About ten more minutes went by and his food hadn't come out yet. Right when he was about to get up to see what happened, the waitress brought his food AND, a man who I assume to be a manager or the owner, immediately came over and not only profusely apologized but also gave us a $15 gift card for the inconvenience!!!!! The food was absolutely fantastic. I'm a very picky person to being with but when it comes to French toast, if it's not good I won't eat it. There is a hustle at the original location that you don't find at this airport location. In my opinion, this is where you need it most! I tried to order food and was told there was a 20 min wait for Biscuits and Gravy in the take out line. Don't you just have to assemble that? I was told there were too many orders in front of mine. However looking around the restaurant there were 8 occupied tables and a few people at the bar. The kitchen was clearly slooooow. It turns out the servers are too. They look at each other and the order screen and no one is taking action. I wanted a simple iced tea. It took three people and all of whom walked in circles. This will never fly at the pace of a large airport in a commuter terminal where you have plenty of regulars. This place may have good food but I will never know because it is not worth missing my flight. Fix your service and kitchen quickly or you will be out of business soon. read more

The 1 star is literally for the service. My server was polite and I have no complaints about him. HOWEVER. Y'ALL. The food is SO bad here. I had a grilled cheez [sic] with a side of grits. The sandwich was supposed to be garlic toast with 3 kinds of cheese...and I guess that can be said for it. The outside had garlic smushed on it and so it burned. So quickly in fact that the cheese on the inside was not melted. I choked down half the sandwich before I just couldn't do any more. Breakfast - it's what's for dinner at IAH Terminal A Breakfast Klub! I have dined twice now at the new IAH Terminal A Breakfast Klub. Both times the service was excellent including a welcoming camaraderie, the space itself is very attractive with a window wall looking out onto the tarmac, and the food was just as good as at the original Breakfast Klub. The first time I had catfish, eggs and grits - and the catfish was FANTASTIC. The serving was so generous I had leftovers, and the catfish was tasty even upon reheating. The second time I had a BLT and my daughter had pancakes, eggs and bacon. Her serving size was big enough for three people. The pancakes were enormous and fluffy. The manager went from table to table, greeting us with infectious enthusiasm and some down-home banter. It's wonderful that our hometown cooking is so well-represented in the airport, in particular by The Breakfast Klub! read more

One of the benefits of Houston recently hosting Super Bowl LI is that many parts of our city received a nice face lift. This is true of Intercontinental Airport as well; after all, it is important that the first and last impressions a city leaves on her visitors are good ones. And those of us who call H-Town home get to enjoy the benefits for the long term! Terminal A has needed some TLC for years, and it got some. Part of its facelift includes the addition of The Breakfast Klub, which I discovered one recent morning upon arrival for an early American Airlines flight to Chicago. Don't let the name fool you; the menu offers items for all times of the day and they also offer a full bar with large TV's above. But I digress; I was here for breakfast, and breakfast I got. My palate was in one of its 'sweet and savory" moods, so I satisfied that craving with their French toast breakfast, complete with two slices of the wonderful sweetness accompanied by two eggs cooked to order and choice of breakfast meat. Of course, I chose bacon, and the pile of bacon that was on my plate was more than generous and quite tasty. The French toast was sweet and tasty and accompanied by plenty of butter and sweet maple syrup. I ordered my eggs over medium and they came out very runny; I'll order them more cooked next time. My palate and I were very satisfied; I didn't mind the $15 price at all. Aside from my coffee cup sitting empty until I flagged down my server, the service was good and I was in and out in less than thirty minutes. To whomever is responsible for the Terminal A improvements, I offer a hearty "thank you" for a job well done. And knowing that The Breakfast Klub awaits, I may actually look forward to my next early morning departure on American! read more
