Very good service. I think the menu prices are fairly reasonable. The food was very good. I don't eat very much these days due to weight loss surgery, so sometimes I order off the kids menu. Unfortunately there is an up charge for that. I wish there weren't! That said, the two egg omelette was massive and it was quite delicious. I got ham and Swiss. I enjoyed the home fries too. Came here for breakfast on a Friday morning. Literally knew nothing about this place just found it on my GPS when we were looking for somewhere to eat. This is definitely a very local spot. We we're seated right away. They had a nice menu with all the typical breakfast options. Food came out quickly. I had the short stack of French toast. It was delicious and came with whipped cream and strawberries on it. I also got a side of bacon which was cooked perfectly. My husband got pancakes and a blueberry muffin. He also ordered a side of hashbrowns which they forgot. But we had plenty of food so really wasn't a big deal. The kids had pancakes. All the food was great. The price was very reasonable. Well one of my favorite breakfast places has completely gone down hill fast. The last time I was there my wife and I ended up getting sick as soon as we got home from there. The home fries were like chewing on hard beef jerky with rancid oil on them and the pancakes were on a whole other level of bad. Also the bacon was old cold and greasy. And let's not forget the coffee, I have had tap water with more flavor! I honestly didn't enjoy the workers having loud obnoxious conversations with the townies seated at the counter as we couldn't even hear ourselves when talking. Nothing fancy, inside needs a little love, but food and service make up for it all. Food is fresh and home cooked to order. Small menu, but several specials available. From the specials, I had the crab cake Bennie with a side salad. Crab cakes and hollandaise were perfect. My husband had the meatloaf sandwich with fried eggs and cheese in a bagel. The Nook has always been a favorite of mine and i have been going there for years and years. The staff has always been excellent except for one. Ive always thought maybe shes too busy (even when its slow), but now i think maybe its personal? We come in hoping to sit with other servers because on the days we get Angela... the other servers do all the work anyhow. She NEVER once on any visit, comes to ask us how our food is. Not once. Ever. She never comes over to refill our coffees. I would rather sit with someone else. I wasn't a fan of my food today and I really would have ordered something else, but she never came over. I have been in the restaurant biz for over 20 yrs, and that check back at your tables is so important. I am beginning to think that she just doesn't personally like my fiance and I, however we are super friendly and always have a great visit with the other staff. We wish we could ask to sit with someone else. Just stopped by again 5/25/18 and like so many times before this place does not disappoint. I have only gone for breakfast and every single time the food is fresh, good, very fairly priced, good portions and the customer service is awesome. They also have a selection of homemade muffins! In addition the coffee is very hot and fresh:) It's exactly what the name says (Nook). It's a small mom and pop type place but they make the most of the space.
