We go there on a regular basis, with it being our go-to for special occasions. We went last week for our anniversary and had the best time! Taryn was absolutely amazing - made us laugh and was very attentive and knew the menu very well. We got the beef tartare cannoli to start, different and delicious! The side dishes to the glazed salmon were unusual but insanely good, and the prime chuck burger was amazing. We always end with the sticky pudding cake, best way to end a night. read more

I've been wanting to try Ella's forever and finally went tonight. It did not disappoint. The food was delicious, so fresh. We got the bruschetta and shrimp apps and a mozzarella pizza. My husband and I went on a Tuesday night around 7 pm and were seated pretty quickly. The place was full though, so reservations are recommended. I wasn't feeling too hungry so i ordered the roasted jumbo shrimp, which was an app. i enjoyed my dish a lot: the shrimp was super flavorful and cooked well. there were these little tomatoes included which added a refreshing bit of sweetness. however i do think it was overpriced... it was $21 for 4 pieces of big shrimp and toast. My husband ordered their burger and he enjoyed his food. we got the pistachio cannoli and vanilla gelato for dessert, which were both good although i would skip the gelato next time because it was too heavy. The mains came out in a reasonable time, but weirdly enough the desserts took a while to come out. the waitress for our table was friendly and checked on us a few times throughout. overall, would recommend this spot! read more

The pork chop was tantalizing, the halibut was amazing, and one person in the party ordered a pizza - person ordering the pizza couldn't find an alternative meal choice. They didn't want it and I took the pizza home and had it as leftover - it was good and had wood fired flavor from the oven with nice crust and balance of toasted crust and chewiness expected in a quality pizza. The experience at Ella's was fantastic and I would recommend it to friends. It's really an enjoyable place with the right people. I will not bring the person in the party whom ordered the pizza - unless that individual can govern themselves accordingly and in a way with open mindedness. read more

The Piri Piri Cod was more like a panko sandwich sans fish, it was replaced with the most wilted Romaine salad dripping in dressing with polenta croutons that were so soft and soggy that they could not hold their shape. The service was terrible, we are so sorry we won't be back. read more

Yummy pizza! Very different and unique. A relaxed romantic ambiance and more than enough food! We ordered an elote pizza and a mushroom pizza. Both were made fresh and delicious. Well balanced and flavorful! We also had the truffle fries which, to our surprise, actually tasted like truffle!! Go figure!! (Not like many spots that use truffle infused oil and then up charge you for nothing). Place was not too busy for a Thursday evening, and food came out very fast. Price point for something right at the entry to the Cape was I would say a little bit higher than expected (about $50-$55 with tip), but we were on vacation and didn't mind. The fries were my favorite and the mushroom pizza was surprisingly delicious as I am not a lover of mushrooms. There was more than enough food for 2 so much so that I took some home. read more

Always great! Ate here with my fiance as our last " fancy" dinner before I gave birth to our first child. We really spoiled ourselves and had an amazing time. Excellent food. We had take out and they were very friendly on the phone when ordering. I got the wagyu burger and truffle fries, it was absolutely delicious!! And cooked perfectly my husband got the sausage, onion, pepper pizza with extra cheese. He said it was delicious but wasn't happy with the amount of cheese (could have used more for paying for extra) And we didn't have a long wait time on a Saturday night at 6:00....was 20 minutes. Great service but the food is trying too hard to be unique that it just doesn't work. My husband and mother in law liked it. This place works for some but unfortunately not for me. We made a reservation for a party of 11 people and were told they could take us at 7:30. When we arrived we were told there would be a 10-15 minute wait. The total wait was 35 minutes and there were locals that got seated before us. The food was pretty good but the chicken bacon ranch pizza was bland and the schnitzel would have benefitted from some sauce. Our waitress was very good and attentive to the large group. All in all it was pretty good but the wait kind of ruined our experience. read more

Not sure what can be said about Ella's that hasn't already but this place is so worth a visit! For drinks we started off with a pecan old fashioned and the perfect pear. Both were very good and we would definitely order them again. We went with pizza for dinner: Fall harvest and Fig and Prosciutto. So happy with our choices! Both were so yummy and we had some to take home. For desert we got another round of drinks (the Java Biscotti martini is to die for) and the apple cinnamon beignets. Soooooo good! The price wasn't bad for a fancy date night, and the restaurant itself is charming, very warm and cozy. read more

I had not been to Ella's in about 12 years and thought it was time to give them another try. I guess I can wait another 12. Bad things: Uncomfortable seats. High noise level. Menu too small (very few things I would consider eating). Pork over cooked. Pasta over cooked. Brussels sprouts under cooked. There was a bread plate on the table, but no bread offered. When we got there the parking lot was 100% full, with cars parked in some additional (not proper) parking spaces. We got the last non-proper space which would have been a fire lane if such markings existed. We got to the restaurant 5 minutes after our reservation time (parking problems), but still had to wait an additional 10 minutes for a table. Good things: Sauce on pork was wonderful. I agree 100% with the 4.5 stars. We had the smoked cauliflower to start and the flavor was fantastic. The sicilian pesto served with the cauliflower was cold and that was a bit of a bummer. Again - great flavor. I'd order it again and ask for the pesto to be warmed. Next we had the steak which was excellent. We're not huge fans of french fries, but theirs were fine. Surprisingly very good. Had a great lemon ricotta pasta, fresh raw oysters, great bread. Very crowded but fetice vibe on a sat night.

The food was pretty good, but not great. The major observation is that Ella's is not sure what it wants to be. The atmosphere is that of a high-end pizza joint (which is great), but the menu besides the pizza, is more gourmet and pricey (and the execution fine, but not worth it). It can't decide what it wants to be. I don't think this is on my anxious to return list. Really a 3.5 star review. read more

We went early on a Thursday at 5:15 with a reservation got right in not busy. Started with a drink gin and tonic, not great. Allagash beer was good. The server brought over a dirty spoon and we called her over, she wiped it and brought it back, still dirty. We were wanting some bread so ordered a 9 dollar plain bread with a dipping sauce, no flavor at all. The chowder is always good with the sweet potato. Yummy, but scalding. I had salmon, very delicious and my partner had a steak that was ok. We had a sticky pudding dessert that is always good, a little hard to eat out of those containers. We waited a while for our drinks while two people were chatting at the podium, just not the service that we had previously. Slightly disappointed for the prices, bill came to around $140.00. read more

If I could give 4.5 stars I would and my -1/2 star is stupid picky I know On business travel looking for a quality reasonably priced dinner in BB. Found the perfect spot. Ate at the bar and had a great clam chowder followed by an unbelievably good salmon. Food and service was perfect. -1/2 star as my drink (old fashioned) was just meh. Gotta up the bar game nowadays. My dad read good reviews for Ella's, so he was excited to try it out. We arrived early around 5 and were seated in the outside area. For appetizer, we ordered the fried zucchini flowers, octopus, and grilled artichoke. We were all impressed with the appetizers - they were super fresh and flavorful. I was thankful that there were vegetarian options for the appetizers as there weren't so many for entrees. I ended up ordering two sides for dinner (the polenta cake and corn and tomato salad). They were both just ok, but that's to be expected since they were side dishes. I could have ordered pizza as there were several vegetarian options, but I wasn't in the mood for it. My family really enjoyed their main courses. If the service hadn't been so slow (we waited an hour for main courses and a pretty long time for appetizers too), I'd give Ella's 5 stars. read more

We chose this establishment because the place we originally had planned to go was closed, and this place was close by and had fantastic reviews. The reviews were spot on!!! We were all thrilled with our meals. We were hungry, so we started with a pizza as an app, and it was absolutely perfect from the crust to the amount of toppings. For dinner, two of us got the chicken parm, and the others were pan seared scallops and butternut ravioli. All were spectacular, to say the least. We all can't wait to go back. If you like small tight places that are extremely loud with tables that woble this is the place for you. Had reservations but Still had to wait a other 20 mins. Once seated we looked at the menu which was the smallest I've personally seen & very underwhelming. Recieved our cocktails cosmo wasn't good & my Jameson was such a small pour. The antipasto was oily & tasteless with cheap cold cuts & served Without any serving utensils. Entres arrived with two sausage dishes Extremely salty boarder line edible & wasn't good tasting. Plenty of parking, but arrive "early bird" early, make reservations, or expect to wait because this place fills up fast at dinner time. It's worth the wait! They're doing an amazing job during this time, very well thought out, safe and clean. Service was ON point, great recommendations. We felt so welcomed and cared for. Here's what we ate (and LOVED btw!): *FRIED BROCCOLI w/ pepperoncini aioli, parmesan *SMOKED CHICKEN WINGS AL PASTOR w/charred pineapple tomatillo salsa *The special pizza: PORK CARNITAS PIZZA w/ pulled pork, roasted Mexican street corn, cotija, chili lime crema, and crispy fried onions *BACON & POTATO PIZZA w/ garlic & olive oil, brie, red onion, rosemary The pizza crust was crispy and honestly quite perfect. Have been looking forward to trying this spot for years as my Dad loves it. The positive. Great menu. Ordered DoorDash and the delivery was about 35 mins so very timely. Food was hot! Ordered the chicken fingers and fries and the Panzanella salad. No burata. No watermelon. No focaccia. So there's that. Everyone makes mistakes so let's chalk this up to a one timer.
